The Kentucky Speedway, once a hub of high-speed racing action and a staple on the NASCAR calendar, has been noticeably absent from the racing scene in recent years.
Last week’s record rainfall and subsequent flooding dramatically impacted the lives of people in our own community as well as those in eastern Kentucky.
For the second time this season, the NASCAR Xfinity Series hosted a doubleheader. However, this time, the doubleheader was in the Bluegrass State, Kentucky Speedway.
After struggling early, Harvick rebounded to battle for the win at Kentucky. Alas, as he was racing Martin Truex, Jr. for the win, rookie Cole Custer powered past to snag the stunning victory. Harvick finished 4th.
