Weekend schedule for Phoenix

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and Camping World Truck Series will be in action at ISM Raceway in Phoenix. All three series enter their final elimination races that will set up the Championship 4.

Justin Fontaine – Lucas Oil 150 Race Advance

Fontaine on Racing at Phoenix: “I’m really pumped about going to Phoenix and having a chance at a good finish,” said Fontaine.  “I’ve been able to get our No. 45 ProMATIC Automation Chevrolet inside the top-10 on a superspeedway and a speedway, I’d like to add a smaller track to our total on Friday night.

Austin Wayne Self – Lucas Oil 150 Race Advance

Self on Racing at Phoenix: “Even though we haven’t had the results we were hoping for in the past at Phoenix, I’m hoping we can change our luck with a strong finish on Friday night,” said Self. “It’s hard to believe that there are just two races left in the year – but I feel like they are two races that we can go out and compete well and end our year on a high note.

Landon Huffman – Lucas Oil 150 Race Advance

Huffman on Racing at Phoenix: “I’m definitely looking for a little redemption this week at Phoenix,” said Huffman.  “I’m thrilled to have another chance behind the wheel of this truck, and to work with this Niece Motorsports team again.  ISM Raceway will definitely be the biggest challenge I have had so far in my career, and I’m looking forward to getting on track and learning as much as possible.  I want to give a huge thank you to Al Niece, Cody Efaw, Chuck Efaw and Team Dillon Management for making this opportunity possible.”

Ty Majeski – Phoenix Advance

“I’ve never been to Phoenix before, but I’m excited it’s a short track.  I got to make some laps at Phoenix in the simulator last week and I felt like we had a good session and made quite a few gains in the car.  With the new configuration it will be a little bit different for everybody, but overall excited to get over there and see what we’ve got.”

Matt Kenseth – Phoenix Advance

“It’s always good to come back to a track when you’re the defending race winner. Those are great memories, and that win will always be special to me. This weekend should be interesting because of all the changes to the track. It will still drive the same, but with the new start-finish line just before the dogleg, and the new pit road configuration, it will be a little different once we get into the race. I’m looking forward to the weekend, and doing what we can to put two good races together for the 6 team and finish the season strong.”

JR Motorsports — NXS Phoenix II Preview

“This weekend, we’ve got to perform from the moment we unload on Friday to when we take the checkered flag on Saturday. All year, we’ve had our eyes on Homestead and a strong run at Phoenix is our last step in making that happen. I know this team is capable of it and deserves to be apart of the Championship 4, running for the title at Homestead-Miami.” – Elliott Sadler
