NASCAR champion Matt Kenseth will return to the organization where he began his storied NASCAR career, piloting Roush Fenway’s flagship No. 6 Ford Fusion for a part of the 2018 season. Kenseth will also have a new home away from home, with the team announcing a multi-year partnership with Wyndham Rewards®, the award-winning loyalty program of Wyndham Hotel Group, as a new primary on the No. 6.

Did you know? Talladega Superspeedway is one of six tracks on the current Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) schedule where Chevrolet has 40 or more victories. Chevrolet eclipsed the 40-win mark at the 2.66-mile superspeedway when Dale Earnhardt, Jr. took his Chevrolet SS to victory in May of 2015. Chevrolet leads all other manufacturers with exactly 40 wins at Talladega.
"Talladega is my favorite among the two superspeedways that we go to on the NASCAR circuit. It's wider than Daytona, so you can make more passes and you can keep a run going. I feel like GMS Racing has a really strong superspeedway program, whether it's in the Truck Series or the Xfinity Series. Chad (Norris, crew chief) and the guys have been working hard on this No. 23 piece since we brought it back from Daytona and I think we will be in really good shape for this weekend."
Trevor Bayne will make his 15th Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) start at Talladega this weekend. In 14 previous starts at the 2.66-Mile Superspeedway, Bayne has a career best finish of third, which came in last fall’s event. He also has two additional top-10s in Alabama, a 10th-place result in the 2016 spring race, and an eighth-place result in the spring of 2012.
