Who said you can’t go home? NASCAR champion Matt Kenseth will return to the organization where he began his storied NASCAR career, piloting Roush Fenway’s flagship No. 6 Ford Fusion for a part of the 2018 season. Kenseth will also have a new home away from home, with the team announcing a multi-year partnership with Wyndham Rewards®, the award-winning loyalty program of Wyndham Hotel Group, as a new primary on the No. 6.

Chase Elliott on speedway racing: “I have never disliked it, I think it’s kind of one of those things that we have to do. The races pay the same amount of points as the rest of them, so you might as well embrace it. We have had some really fast cars and led some laps. We have had opportunities, just haven’t had the end results to prove the kind of runs we have had. Just going to keep doing what we have been doing there.”

Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) announced today, Petty's Garage and Medallion Bank will be the primary sponsors of Darrell "Bubba" Wallace Jr. and the No. 43 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 team during this weekend's events at the Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. Petty's Garage will be on the hood with Medallion Bank on the sides of a new No. 43 Camaro ZL1 built for this weekend.

Did you know? Talladega Superspeedway is one of six tracks on the current Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) schedule where Chevrolet has 40 or more victories. Chevrolet eclipsed the 40-win mark at the 2.66-mile superspeedway when Dale Earnhardt, Jr. took his Chevrolet SS to victory in May of 2015. Chevrolet leads all other manufacturers with exactly 40 wins at Talladega.

"Talladega is my favorite among the two superspeedways that we go to on the NASCAR circuit. It's wider than Daytona, so you can make more passes and you can keep a run going. I feel like GMS Racing has a really strong superspeedway program, whether it's in the Truck Series or the Xfinity Series. Chad (Norris, crew chief) and the guys have been working hard on this No. 23 piece since we brought it back from Daytona and I think we will be in really good shape for this weekend."

Trevor Bayne will make his 15th Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) start at Talladega this weekend. In 14 previous starts at the 2.66-Mile Superspeedway, Bayne has a career best finish of third, which came in last fall’s event. He also has two additional top-10s in Alabama, a 10th-place result in the 2016 spring race, and an eighth-place result in the spring of 2012.

Paul Menard, driver of the No. 21 Motorcraft Ford Fusion, talks about the upcoming Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway. The Wood Brothers Racing driver currently sits 18th in MENSC Driver Points heading into the Geico 500.

When asked if he is being overlooked due to his recent finishes, Martin Truex Jr. doesn’t get defensive, flustered, frazzled or angry. Instead, he takes it in stride, knowing there’s more scrutiny that comes with being the reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion.

Let’s Get Ready to RACE! World Boxing Council’s (WBC) current World Heavyweight Champion and Tuscaloosa, AL native Deontay Wilder, will serve as the Honorary Pace Car Driver for this Sunday’s GEICO 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway (April 29).
