Newman drove chassis No. 504 to a seventh-place finish earlier this season at Kansas Speedway.

Brian Scott will make his Sprint Cup debut at Kentucky Speedway this weekend, but he won't be the only one. Kentucky Speedway recently underwent a repave of the 1.5-mile tri-oval, making it in prime condition for NASCAR to make its annual visit to the Bluegrass State this weekend.
“The key to success at Kentucky is going to be survival. With any track repave the very first race there are a lot of unknowns. We were fortunate to test there. It’s going to be tough to get that second lane to come in but I think it’s going to. So pushing the grove up the track on a brand new surface is going to be key.”
The two-time XFINITY champion has three career NSCS starts at Kentucky with an average starting position of 17.0 and average finishing position of 17.7.
Ryan Reed has competed at Kentucky Speedway four times in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS). In this race last year, Reed finished 14th after starting 12th. In his last appearance at the track, he finished 25th after starting 19th and getting caught up in an early-race incident on Lap 2.
After sweeping the NASCAR XFINITY and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Daytona International Speedway last weekend, Ford Performance heads to Kentucky for its only visit of the season. Brad Keselowski, who is the only Ford driver with a NSCS win at the 1.5-mile track, will be looking to make it two straight after taking the checkered flag Saturday night in the Coke Zero 400.
