Kansas Recap: Denny Hamlin finished second in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway, after fighting an ill-handling FedEx Express Toyota for most of the event won by Joey Logano. Following the race’s final caution, Hamlin lined up second, next to Logano on the front row for a green-white-checkered finish.
When the No.32 C&J Energy Services Ford Fusion arrives at the Talladega Superspeedway for the CampingWorld.Com 500 race weekend the familiar No.32 will have a different look. In support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the No.32 will feature pink where silver is normally seen.
Defending race winner and six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, Jimmie Johnson, made a strong showing in his No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet SS in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway with a third place finish. It was his 16th top-10 finish in 19 races at the 1.5-mile venue.

Brian Scott and the No. 33 Shore Lodge Chevrolet team qualified in the 16th position for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Kansas 400 at Kansas Speedway. In his Sprint Cup debut at the 1.5-mile track, the 28-year-old driver raced in and around the top 20 for the first 100 laps of the race as they battled with handling issues, namely a lack of front turn on his Chevrolet SS.
After battling back from one lap down, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. restarted ninth on the final green-white-checkered attempt but newer tires prevailed forcing Stenhouse to settle with a 13th-place finish in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Kansas Speedway. With four straight top-15 and six straight top-20 finishes, Stenhouse jumps two positions in the NSCS driver standings to 25th.
Joe Gibbs Racing’s Brandon Jones (second) and Christopher Bell (third) delivered podium finishes to lead Toyota in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Darlington Raceway on Saturday evening.
23XI Racing driver Tyler Reddick was made available to the media on Saturday after winning the pole for the NASCAR Cup Series race from Darlington Raceway.
