“I would like to be consistent each week and be competitive. Last year I felt like we were up and down each week and this year I hope that we can be competitive, run a top-10 every race, definitely get a couple of wins and make the Chase obviously.
“It’s a different game – you’re right – it changed. I think it changed in the last two or three years to where people have figured out that you have to be in front, which when I won the two Daytona 500s I was in front, so that’s nothing new or different. But you just have to block quite often.

Those guys have speed but I think we have made a lot of improvements over at Roush through the off season and we are still continuing to do that. I think for us, it is just getting on a consistent roll. We didn’t have that last year. We definitely learned a lot and were putting people and ideas in certain spots that we need to focus on to have that breakout year. I think this is our year to really get people to look and jump on board and be a part of our program. I think we have to make sure we are not missing any key elements of that.”
