Chad Finley Racing is very pleased to announce the addition of 2011 ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion & Rookie of the Year, Derrick Griffin to the CFR organization. The South Bend, Indiana standout will serve as Interim Crew Chief for CFR’s primary driver, 20-year-old Chad Finley for the remainder of the 2012 racing season.

Juan Pablo Montoya will lead the field to the green in Sunday’s Finger Lakes 355 at the Glen NASCAR Sprint Cup race held at Watkins Glen International. Behind the wheel of the No. 42 Target Chevrolet, Montoya posted a new track record of 127.020 mph, collected his second consecutive pole position of the season, and earned his ninth Cup career pole. Montoya’s time beat the second place qualifier, Kyle Busch (Toyota) by five one-hundredths of a second.

We haven’t qualified well this year but today was a great effort. Track position is key on road courses especially at a fast place like The Glen. I’m a little disappointed that we didn’t get the pole. I’m positive I could have squeezed another tenth out of it for sure. We’ll take it. We can see the front and will have a good pit selection. Our car is fast.”
