Thanks to the outpouring of fans across the country, the memory of Lynda Petty, wife of NASCAR legend Richard Petty, will live on. The Petty Family Foundation today announced that through numerous and generous donations in memory of Mrs. Lynda Petty, the family has chosen four organizations to make monetary donations.
James Buescher returns to Michigan International Speedway, a track in which he captured one of his two victories in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) during the 2013 season. The victory was a special one for the Bueschers as it was the first race in which their son Stetson attended. Buescher has one previous NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at the two-mile D-shaped oval in 2002, where he started fourth and finished in the runner-up position.
Erica Thiering will be racing in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Budweiser 300 at Autodrome Chaudiere on June 14, in a car sponsored by Alberta Has Energy 300 and Edmonton International Raceway in Wetaskiwin.
