NBCSN's same-day broadcast Aug. 2 of the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio drew an average viewership of 666,000, making it the most-watched Verizon IndyCar Series race on the network since NBC Sports Group acquired INDYCAR cable exclusivity in 2008.

Scott Steckly and his 22 Racing/Canadian Tire team hoped for a top ten finish today in event eight of the eleven race NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 and they came away with a clean race car and a ninth place finish.

Graham Rahal's surge in the second half of the Verizon IndyCar Series season continued with an emphatic victory in the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio. Rahal, who started 13th in the 90-lap race in the No. 15 Steak 'n Shake Honda for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, corralled his second victory of the season and third of his Indy car career.
“Today was good. The Steak ‘n Shake car is a bit of a handful for sure but if we can be as close as we are with it like it is I feel good about where we can be, going forward. We’ve just got to keep working hard, keep our heads down and we’ll be just fine. For sure we have a little bit of work to do tonight but being the top Honda in fourth feels good but I want to be P1 (fastest). This is the home race and there are only three races to go so I want to be up there.”
Scott Dixon, who has won five of the past eight Verizon IndyCar Series races at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, recorded the quickest lap through two practice sessions for the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio.
