INDYCAR announced the following post-event infractions and manufacturer championship points updates following the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio, which was held Aug. 2 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

Seven Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires drivers, including the top three in the championship standings, will share a test day in Verizon IndyCar Series cars with Verizon IndyCar Series drivers Aug. 13 on the 2.385-mile, 12-turn Sonoma Raceway road course in Sonoma, Calif.

The latest in a long line of Quebec road course aces has arrived in Kevin Lacroix, and his ascension has come faster than all of those before him.

Scott Steckly and his 22 Racing/Canadian Tire team hoped for a top ten finish today in event eight of the eleven race NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 and they came away with a clean race car and a ninth place finish.

“Honestly, if I’d won a lot of races in my career but I never won this one, I think I’d be pretty disappointed. For me and the Steak ‘n Shake team, that win means more to me than anything else, means more than my first win to me. This is the best day. Strategy just worked today. Sometimes things just go your way and today was one of those days. For the Rahals, when it goes back to Jim Trueman and everyone else, this track has been pretty special to us for so, so many years."

Graham Rahal's surge in the second half of the Verizon IndyCar Series season continued with an emphatic victory in the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio. Rahal, who started 13th in the 90-lap race in the No. 15 Steak 'n Shake Honda for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, corralled his second victory of the season and third of his Indy car career.

“Today was good. The Steak ‘n Shake car is a bit of a handful for sure but if we can be as close as we are with it like it is I feel good about where we can be, going forward. We’ve just got to keep working hard, keep our heads down and we’ll be just fine. For sure we have a little bit of work to do tonight but being the top Honda in fourth feels good but I want to be P1 (fastest). This is the home race and there are only three races to go so I want to be up there.”

Scott Dixon, who has won five of the past eight Verizon IndyCar Series races at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, recorded the quickest lap through two practice sessions for the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio.

The 2015 Honda Indy 200 will mark the 18th Indy car event for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL) here. The team also competed in the Atlantic Series race in 2003 with Danica Patrick and has competed in ALMS races here in 2007 and from 2009-2012. The highest IndyCar finish for the team here is two third place finishes (Rahal 1997, 1998) and the highest start is pole (Herta 1997). Another front row start came in 1999 (Herta; 2nd).

Juan Pablo Montoya leads the Indy car championship with three races to go for the second time in his career. He also led the CART point standings with three to go when he won the 1999 championship.
