Morgan & Morgan Signs NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series Driver Chris Hacker to Multi-Race Partnership

[Orlando, FL] — Morgan & Morgan, America’s largest injury law firm, announced today that it will become an official marketing partner of professional driver and rookie Chris Hacker for multiple races of the upcoming NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series.

The agreement will enable Morgan & Morgan to wrap and design Hacker’s truck for five of the 2023 season’s races. Entering his rookie year, Hacker has joined On Point Motorsports and their Toyota program for the season opener at Daytona and is poised for the first time in his racing career to compete in top equipment consistently each race.

Hacker is the first NASCAR driver known to have a brachial plexus birth injury that limits movement in his left arm. Brachial plexus injuries occur when a baby’s neck is stretched to one side during birth, damaging the network of nerves that controls the muscles from the shoulder down to the fingers. After three major surgeries, including nerve grafting and tendon transfers, he has gained sufficient mobility in his arm to race. He drives his car with his left arm resting on the wheel while steering with his right.

Morgan & Morgan’s sponsorship of Hacker will also enable him to further support UBPN initiatives in the future, and UBPN will be featured as part of the truck wrap design to drive awareness.

Hacker began his racing career at eight years old racing in Quarter Midgets. He became the youngest driver to ever win a Champion Racing Association event at the age of 13. He had always dreamt of becoming a NASCAR driver, but in 2015 experienced a wreck that required costly repairs to his car, making his dream seem out of reach.

His parents had sought justice years earlier for the medical malpractice that caused his brachial plexus injury at birth, and with the funds from the settlement he was able to repair and modify his car to restart his racing career.

He made his debut in the Truck Series on August 20, 2021, at World Wide Technology​ Raceway at Gateway in the Toyota 200.

The NextEra Energy Resources 250 (100 laps | 250 miles) is the first of 23 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series races on the 2023 schedule. Practice begins on Thurs, Feb. 16 from 5:05 p.m. – 5:55 p.m. Qualifying is set for race day, Fri., Feb. 17 beginning at 3:00 p.m. The field will take the green flag shortly after 7:30 p.m. with live coverage on FOX Sports 1, the Motor Racing Network (Radio) and SiriusXM NASCAR Channel 90.

Connor Hall Returns to Chad Bryant Racing to Compete Full-Time in Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour

HICKORY, N.C. (Feb. 10, 2023) — Up-and-coming racing sensation Connor Hall will return to Chad Bryant Racing (CBR) this season to compete full-time in the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour Series in the Late Model Stock division.

The 2023 Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour Series campaign will mark the second time that Hall will be competing as a full-time driver in any motorsports division with a team other than his family-owned team.

“I am really looking forward to having another opportunity to work with Chad Bryant, Steven Civitarese and the rest of the CBR team,” said Hall.

“I am looking to improve on our successful season together and believe with a full-time effort in the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour Series, that we can contend for not only wins but the championship.

The Hampton, Virginia, native showcased his ability behind the wheel after putting his No. 77 Chevrolet into the spotlight last season. By the end of 2022, the 25-year-old was not only contending for wins but out-qualified seasoned Late Model veterans and Xfinity Series mainstay drivers like Josh Berry and Jeb Burton by earning the pole in the Thanksgiving Classic at Southern National Motorsports Park – a huge accomplishment for the Chad Bryant-owned team.

Hall earned the pole in his opening race of the 2022 season at Caraway Speedway and contended for the win before experiencing a late-race setback. Last summer, he and Chad Bryant Racing secured the pole and his first win in the CARS Tour at Goodyear All American Speedway, as well as leading a whopping 95 laps in the event at Franklin County Speedway in Callaway, Virginia.

Chad Bryant, a championship-winning crew chief in the ARCA Menards Series, is focused on building a platform for Hall this season that will not only allow him to continue to showcase his impressive craft – but spotlight his team in his endeavor to become one of the predominant Late Model organizations on the tour.

Forty-one Teams Entered for 60th Annual Daytona ARCA 200

Entries are in for the 2023 ARCA Menards Series season-opener at Daytona International Speedway, with 41 teams on the entry list for the 60th Annual Daytona ARCA 200. The 41 entries represent the most for the ARCA Menards Series at Daytona since 2017 when there were 42 teams entered.

“It’s gratifying to see a large entry list of drivers and teams entered to compete in our season opener,” said ARCA president Ron Drager. “We have seen a lot of positive momentum in the last two years, the direct result of really hard work by everyone in our company. The ARCA platform has been a home for racers who have decided this is where they want to make their living, and a developmental platform where young emerging talent can gain valuable experience as they pursue a career in the NASCAR national series. Our Daytona entry list is a great mix of both, the career ARCA racers and those still developing their skill.”

The entry list is headlined by championship contenders Jesse Love, a two-time ARCA Menards West champion who will be driving for Venturini Motorsports, Indiana’s Greg Van Alst, and West Virginia’s Christian Rose. Love will be joined at Venturini Motorsports by former Talladega winner Gus Dean, and two fast females, Toni Breidinger and Amber Balcaen, who finished 1-2 in the series’ annual pre-season pre-race practice at Daytona in January.

Connor Mosack will make his first Daytona start driving the No. 18 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, the team that won the ARCA Menards Series owner’s championship in 2021 and 2022, first with Ty Gibbs at the wheel and last year with a combination of Drew Dollar and two-time ARCA Menards East champion Sammy Smith driving. Mosack will run six races for the team while William Sawalich, who isn’t eligible to compete on superspeedways until he turns 18, will run the rest as the team looks to score its third straight owner’s title.

Hollywood A-lister Frankie Muniz is also entered, driving a Ford Mustang for Rette Jones Racing. Muniz, the star of beloved sitcom Malcolm in the Middle and a former runner-up on Dancing with the Stars will be making his series debut driving for the team that has finished in the top three at Daytona twice in recent years, second in 2017 with team co-owner Terry Jones at the wheel and third in 2019 with Canadian Grant Quinlan driving.

New York’s Andy Jankowiak is entered fresh off a preliminary night win his three-quarter midget at the Gambler’s Classic, held indoors in the legendary Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Jankowiak finished sixth last year, recovering from a mid-race spin and crash to score his best career series finish.

Other notables on the entry list include former Daytona runner-up Willie Mullins and Brayton Laster for Mullins Motorsports, Sean Corr in his family-owned No. 8 Chevrolet, Jack Wood and Lavar Scott in a pair of potent Chevrolets for Rev Racing, Illinois veteran Tim Richmond, who nearly pulled off an upset top-five finish last year before running out of fuel with just a couple of laps remaining, and the four-car Fast Track High Performance Racing entry for 1995 series champion Andy Hillenburg, with drivers Ed Pompa, Bryce Haugeberg, Zach Herrin, and Jon Garrett.

The 60th Annual Daytona ARCA 200 at Daytona International Speedway is set for Saturday, February 18. Rev Racing gears up for Daytona ARCA season-opener

Jack Wood and Lavar Scott to make Rev Racing debut in AMS-opener at Daytona

Concord, NC — Rev Racing prepares for the ARCA Menards Series (AMS) season opener at Daytona International Speedway (DIS), fielding two entries who will compete on the 2.5-mile tri-oval in the Daytona 200. Rev Racing will field Lavar Scott, ARCA Menards Series East full-time driver and Jack Wood, part-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) driver at Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM). The team capped off their 2022 season as the AMS Driver Champions with Nick Sanchez, driver of the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet.

Rev Racing collectively garnered 3 wins, 17 top 5’s and 30 top 10’s throughout the 2022 AMS season. Rev Racing looks to carry the momentum into 2023 as contenders of the 2023 AMS title.

Wood, who is a newcomer to Rev Racing, is looking forward to the added seat time to support his part-time NCTS commitments with KBM for 2023. Due to the technical alliance between Rev Racing and KBM, announced last year during championship weekend in Phoenix, the pairing seemed like a natural fit. Wood will run the No. 6 WB/Velocity Racing Chevrolet in Daytona. He is scheduled to run 7 races with the team throughout the AMS season, and potentially more. Wood will also be competing in the NextEra Energy 250 in conjunction with his AMS commitments.

The California native made his NCTS debut at Circuit of the Americas in May of 2021. Wood has tallied 35 starts, including a full season (23 races) in 2022. He will continue to compete in multiple series in 2023 and anchor the No. 51 Chevrolet. He competed in one AMS racing event in 2022 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

“I’m super excited to return to the ARCA Menards Series this year running a part-time schedule with Rev Racing.” said Jack Wood. “Getting more seat time will be a great platform for me to continue to learn and grow my skill set. Some weekends I’ll be running both ARCA and Trucks and I’ll be able to apply what I learn in the ARCA race to the truck race. Rev is coming off of a really strong season and I’m looking forward to getting onto the track with them and showing what we got!”

Lavar Scottt, who is slated to run a full-time AMS East car for Rev Racing is eager for this experience as he enters his rookie season in 2023. Scott will be returning for his fourth season with Rev Racing as a part of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program. In 2022, Scott earned multiple top 5s and 10s in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series.

“I am very excited for Daytona and blessed to have the opportunity with Rev Racing and NASCAR Drive for Diversity,” said Lavar Scott. “This series is very different from anything I have competed in, but I trust myself, as well as the team who is always ready for a good showing.”

Andres Perez de Lara, who will compete full-time in the AMS with Rev Racing in 2023, will not meet the age requirements of the Series until the Phoenix race in March.

Wood and Scott will return to AMS action beginning with a practice session on February 16th. General Tire Pole Qualifying will take place on the 17th with the Daytona 200 80-lapper on the 18th. The AMS season-opener will broadcast live on ​​FS1 and the Fox Sports App.

GAFFNEY, S.C. — Brennan Poole is ready for his moment. After a three-race run with JD Motorsports at the end of the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, the Texas driver is back with the Gaffney, S.C. based team for a full-season Xfinity campaign this year.

“It’s been a few years since I went the distance in the Xfinity Series, and I’m more than ready to buckle in and give it my best shot,” Poole said. “I know enough about the JD Motorsports operation to know that Johnny (team owner Johnny Davis) and his people always put solid cars on the track. We’ll be more than ready to go when we arrive in Daytona.”

The 33-race Xfinity schedule opens at Daytona International Speedway, on Feb. 18, the day before the Daytona 500 Cup Series opener.

Poole, 31, has raced two full seasons (2016 and 2017) and portions of two others in Xfinity cars. In 2015, he started 17 races, scoring a pair of top 10s.

Poole will ride into Daytona with the strong sponsorship backing of Macc Door Systems, a family-owned company that has supplied garage doors and openers to installation companies and building suppliers for the past 20 years.

Macc will sponsor Poole at Daytona, the series’ two Las Vegas races, Talladega, Nashville and Bristol. “Any time we can team with Macc, it’s a good thing,” said Davis. “We feel like we know the people there as family, and working together to boost both of our teams is an upfront goal as we move into the new season.”

Poole’s racing background perfectly prepared him for a strong run at Xfinity Series success. He racked up 90 wins in quarter-midget racing and won the 2002 national championship in that very competitive division. He moved up to Legends racing on asphalt, scoring 96 wins in two years.

Poole moved to dirt modifieds in 2007 and won the Texas World Dirt Track Championship. In three following years in asphalt late models, he won 10 times and became the first driver in UARA history to win three races in a row and six in a season. He won the UARA championship in 2011 and twice was named the series most popular driver.

Poole jumped into ARCA racing in 2011, winning in his first start at Salem Speedway. In 35 ARCA starts, he won six times, establishing himself as a candidate for rides in NASCAR’s top three national series.

After running in Xfinity and doing well, Poole ran 35 of 36 Cup Series races in 2020, scoring a ninth in heavy traffic at Talladega.

Now Poole is back with force in Xfinity and ready to do the full February-to-November sweep through the schedule.

“I have a lot of experience in this series, and I know a lot about the tracks,” Poole said. “I feel like we can make some noise this year. I’m anxious to get started.”

An innovator and influencer in the digital arena, Poole was the first driver to vlog. He also developed a monetized YouTube channel with his “Running with the Bull” series. The content was featured at tracks on video screens and acquired hundreds of thousands of impressions across social and digital media.

Although Poole is dedicated and devoted to racing, his interests cover a wide spectrum. He is involved in extreme sports, skateboarding, music and media.

Kaulig Racing finalizes crew chief lineup for 2023 NASCAR season

Kaulig Racing took to social media to reveal its driver-crew chief pairing for the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series season that is nine days away from commencing. For this season, all three Xfinity crew chiefs that feature Bruce Schlicker, Jason Trinchere and Alex Yontz will remain with their respective Chevrolet Camaro entries.

Yontz, a five-time race-winning crew chief who swapped from Kaulig’s No. 11 to 10 entry late during the previous season, will remain atop the No. 10 pit box that will serve as the team’s “all-star” entry and be piloted by multiple competitors. Justin Haley will be driving the No. 10 Chevrolet Camaro for the Xfinity season opener at Daytona International Speedway while former Xfinity champion Austin Dillon will make his first start of the season with Kaulig at Auto Club Speedway in late February. In addition, veteran AJ Allmendinger will be making select Xfinity starts alongside his full-time Cup Series duties with Kaulig, beginning at Circuit of the Americas in March.

Meanwhile, Trinchere, who commenced the previous season as the crew chief of the No. 10 entry before transitioning to Kaulig’s No. 11 entry, will be remaining with the No. 11 Chevrolet Camaro team to crew chief Daniel Hemric, who returns for a second full-time stint at Kaulig. Trinchere has five Xfinity career victories to his resume, all of which occurred in 2021 with Allmendinger as the duo made the Playoffs before finishing in fourth place in the final standings. Hemric, the 2021 Xfinity Series champion, is coming off his first season at Kaulig, where he achieved a pole, three top-five results, 14 top-10 results, an average-finishing result of 15.6 and an Xfinity Playoff berth before being eliminated from title contention during the Round of 12 and finishing in ninth place in the final driver’s standings.

Lastly, Schlicker will return as the crew chief of the No. 16 Chevrolet Camaro entry that is set to be piloted by Chandler Smith, who will embark in his first full-time campaign in the Xfinity circuit and compete for the Rookie-of-the-Year title. Schlicker has six Xfinity victories to his resume, with his first occurring at Talladega Superspeedway in 2021 with Jeb Burton before notching five with Allmendinger during the previous season. Smith, the 2021 Craftsman Truck Series Rookie-of-the-Year recipient, graduates to the Xfinity Series following two full-time seasons in the Truck circuit with Kyle Busch Motorsports, where he notched a total of five victories and is coming off a third-place result in last year’s championship standings. He also made his first three Xfinity starts in 2022 with Sam Hunt Racing, where he notched a career-best seventh-place result at Homestead-Miami Speedway in October.

The trio of Xfinity Series crew chiefs finalize Kaulig Racing’s full crew chief lineup that will also see Matt Swinderski and Trent Owens remaining as Cup Series crew chiefs for the team’s Nos. 16 and 31 entries, respectively. Justin Haley will be returning for a second full-time Cup stint at Kaulig in the No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 while Allmendinger returns to full-time Cup competition for the first time since 2018 in the No. 16 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

The 2023 season is set to mark Kaulig Racing’s eighth season in the Xfinity Series and third fielding three full-time entries. Through a combined 425 career starts, the organization has notched 19 victories, nine poles, 100 top-five results, 223 top-10 results and 2,145 laps led. Having placed at least one entry in the Xfinity Series Playoffs since its inception, the organization continues to pursue its first NASCAR championship.

Kaulig Racing’s 2023 Xfinity Series season is set to commence at Daytona International Speedway next Saturday, February 18, at 5 p.m. ET on FS1.

Flying Lizard Unveils Liveries for GT4 Racing Efforts in SRO America

SONOMA, Calif. (February 9, 2023) – In anticipation of the rapidly-approaching start of the 2023 SRO America race season, Flying Lizard Motorsports has revealed the liveries for the team’s three full-season Aston Martin Vantage GT4 entries.

As previously announced, 2021 GT America Powered by AWS champion Jason Bell joins the team, racing the No. 2 Aston Martin Vantage GT4. Bell recently finished second in the 2022 championship and is ready to begin another quest for the title at his home race of St. Petersburg March 3-5. The livery for Bell’s No. 2 Aston Martin Vantage GT will sport a black base with the iconic Lizard head on the hood and sides of the car, with yellow and white slanted lines accenting the look. The car will be sponsored by Fidelis Capital, providers of a private banking experience from an advisor-owned wealth management firm, providing comprehensive financial advisory services.

Elias Sabo’s pair of Aston Martin Vantage GT4 cars will trade in the neutral-colored livery for a bold orange and black look, representing the colors of primary sponsor 5.11 Tactical. The American apparel brand has been a strong supporter of SRO America, Sabo, and more recently, the Flying Lizard team, who proudly wear the brand’s apparel at every race event. The orange and black car will have the Lizard logo on the hood, and again sport the American flag on the roof, also representing Elias Sabo and Andy Lee, the two Americans who will pilot the car throughout the 2023 race season.

Bell will start the 2023 GT America Powered by AWS March 3-5 on the downtown streets of St. Petersburg, Florida. The series will race in support of IndyCar’s Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and feature a pair of 40-minute, single-driver races. The GT America championship will continue to Sonoma Raceway at the end of the month, where the Pirelli GT4 America series will kick off it’s 2023 season. Both Bell and Sabo will compete separately in the GT America series, and Sabo will be joined by co-driver Andy Lee in GT4 America for the 60-minute pair of races.
