The Clash at The Coliseum Competition Notes: Todd Gilliland and the No. 38 genera8tor Skills Mustang Team

Todd Gilliland and No. 38 Ford Team The Clash at The Coliseum Competition Notes

TEAM AND RACE NOTES:

Making their on-track debut, genera8tor Skills (www.gener8tor.com/skills) is ready to carry Todd Gilliland to the sunny skies and bright lights of Los Angeles, California.

gener8tor Skills Accelerator will be working with Gilliland and Front Row Motorsports (FRM) throughout the season to introduce fans to their service- a free virtual skill-training program where participants receive one-on-one support to achieve their career goals. gener8tor Skills Accelerator was founded in the summer of 2020 to help those who have lost jobs or are struggling to find employment because of the COVID crisis. The program builds confidence with coaching and support to achieve your desired career goals.

Gilliland will be behind the No. 38 generator Skills Ford Mustang during The Clash at The Coliseum at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum- a purpose-built track inside the famous stadium. Gilliland will be beginning his sophomore season in the NASCAR Cup Series.

The two-day exhibition event will begin Saturday, February 4 at 6:00 p.m. ET with a practice session televised live on FS1. Qualifying will also be Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. ET live on FS1.

Sunday will feature qualifying heats (25 laps), two last-chance qualifying races (50 laps), a pre-race concert by Cypress Hill, and finally a 150-lap feature race that will start 27 of the 36-entered teams. The race will feature a mid-race break highlighted with a performance by Wiz Khalifa.

All of Sunday’s coverage will be televised live on FOX.

COMPETITION NOTES:

Like the No. 34 team, Gilliland will also be heading west with new leadership. Ryan Bergenty will be calling the shots for Gilliland after moving over as the car chief from the No. 34 team last season.

Bergenty has been aggressive in the off-season in implementing a “one-team” philosophy between the engineers, car assembly, and the strategy with fellow crew chief, Travis Peterson. The hard work of December and January is ready to pay off.

CREW CHIEF RYAN BERGENTY:

“There is no doubt that we’ve worked on our approach to help Todd and our No. 38 team. We’ve seen a lot of success with the 34 team, our truck team, and we’re all working together to give Todd what he needs to be successful. It’s been fun to work on, a bit stressful, but it’s still a challenge that all of us have taken to heart because we all want to see Todd do well.

“The Clash will be a test of running through our procedures and working on our team chemistry at the track. We feel good about our plan, and it will be about executing it and seeing where we need to improve before Daytona.”

DRIVER TODD GILLILAND:

“I can’t wait to get back into the car. For me, that’s the biggest thing on my mind. I want to get back in the car and get behind the driver seat. It’s a short time off between Phoenix and The Clash, and I enjoy the time off, but I’m still ready to get back to racing.

“The Clash is so much fun because it’s different. Unfortunately I didn’t make the feature last season, but that’s all behind us. We have a new season and some new crew members. Ryan has been working hard and we’re getting to know each other. I got married a few weeks ago and I wasn’t in the shop, but when I came back we’ve been putting in a lot of time getting ready for the season.”

Interstate Batteries Announces Expanded Presence With Longtime Partner Joe Gibbs Racing

‘Team Interstate’ Debuts in 2023 With Primary Sponsorships in Select Races Across JGR’s Entire NASCAR Cup Series Lineup

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 1, 2023) – Interstate Batteries, one of the most tenured team sponsors in NASCAR history, begins its 32nd season as the founding sponsor of Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) with an expanded presence that will feature the brand’s iconic green livery across all four of JGR’s NASCAR Cup Series entries.

The introduction of Team Interstate more than doubles the Dallas-based company’s visibility with JGR, as Interstate Batteries will have 13 primary sponsorships in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2023, up from the six primaries it has typically had each year since 2008.

Christopher Bell, driver of the No. 20 Toyota Camry for JGR, kicks off the Team Interstate effort in the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum Feb. 5 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. It marks the first time in Bell’s seven-year history with JGR, which dates back to his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut in 2017, that Bell will carry the green-and-white colors of Interstate Batteries, joining such marquee names as Dale Jarrett, Bobby Labonte and Kyle Busch.

Then, for the first time since 2007, Interstate Batteries returns as a co-primary sponsor in the Daytona 500 on Feb. 19 when it adorns the sides of Ty Gibbs’ No. 54 Toyota Camry in the Great American Race. The Daytona 500 will always hold a special place in the respective histories of Interstate Batteries and JGR, as they won their first race together 30 years ago in the 1993 Daytona 500 with Jarrett.

Bell and Ty Gibbs will run the majority of Interstate Batteries’ races, but veteran racers Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr., will each carry a primary Interstate Batteries sponsorship. Hamlin, a winner of 48 NASCAR Cup Series races, will drive the No. 11 Interstate Batteries Toyota Camry March 26 at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Truex, the 2017 NASCAR Cup Series champion, will pilot the No. 19 Interstate Batteries Toyota Camry July 23 at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway.

“One of the great strengths of our partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing over the last 31 years is the way the sponsorship with them has evolved and changed as our needs as a company and brand have evolved. The expansion of Team Interstate on all four JGR cars during 2023 is the next step in the evolution of our sponsorship,” said Norm Miller, Chairman, Interstate Batteries.

“Working together, we always find new ways to use the JGR and NASCAR assets to set up new accounts and sell more batteries. We believe in our partnership and the sport of NASCAR, so when we saw the opportunity to double the amount of races as a primary sponsor – and be a part of such crown-jewel races as the Daytona 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 again – we knew it made a lot of sense. Since we’ve been with Joe Gibbs and JGR from the beginning, we really feel like all four teams are part of our family, so it’s very exciting for the stars to align and be a primary sponsor with all the JGR teams for the first time ever.”

After racing at the L.A. Coliseum, Bell returns to Interstate Batteries colors for the NASCAR All-Star Race May 21 at North Wilkesboro (N.C.) Speedway. The four-time Cup Series race winner keeps his Interstate Batteries livery for a second straight week when he competes in the Coca-Cola 600 May 28 at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway. Bell’s final two Interstate Batteries races are Sept. 24 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth and Oct. 29 at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway.

Ty Gibbs continues his slate of Interstate Batteries races with the Food City Dirt Race April 9 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, June 25 at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway, July 2 in the inaugural Chicago Street Race, Sept. 24 at Texas and Oct. 8 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval.

“Our motto at Interstate Batteries is ‘Outrageously Dependable,’ and this expanded partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing drives home that point. We’re incredibly proud of our association with JGR. It’s a program that for more than three decades has resonated with our dealers, distributors and customers,” said Lain Hancock, Chief Operating Officer, Interstate Batteries.

“It’s a winning combination galvanized by the personalities we’ve been associated with at JGR, and it begins with Joe Gibbs. His vision and his ability to put the right people in the right places have made his team and our program a massive success. Expanding our presence with JGR allows us to reap the benefits of the organization’s entire effort, and we’re blessed to have such a talented group of racers represent Interstate Batteries.”

Interstate Batteries helped launch JGR in 1992. In the 31 years that have followed, JGR has scored 200 Cup Series victories – a number that includes four Daytona 500s – and five Cup Series championships. All of JGR’s firsts – win (Jarrett, 1992 Daytona 500, pole (Bobby Labonte, April 21, 1995 at Martinsville) and championship (Labonte, 2000 Cup Series title) have come with Interstate Batteries as the primary sponsor. When all of JGR’s successes are added up across each of the NASCAR series in which it competes, its race victories total more than doubles to 413 (200 in the Cup Series, 193 in the Xfinity Series and 20 in the ARCA Menards Series) with 12 total championships (five in Cup, six in Xfinity and one in ARCA).

“We’re extremely proud of our partnership with our founding sponsor, Interstate Batteries,” said Joe Gibbs, owner of Joe Gibbs Racing. “They have been such an important part of our team for over three decades now, and it’s exciting to have them on board all four of our cars this season. The best part of our partnership is the relationships we’ve built with everyone there over the years. It all started, of course, with Norm and Tommy Miller, and now includes Lain (Hancock) and his entire team. It’s going to be a great season.”

Gibbs, along with three of the drivers who have raced for JGR since its inception in 1992, have been inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Jarrett was ushered into the Hall in 2014 while Gibbs, Labonte and Tony Stewart were enshrined together as part of the Class of 2020.

Everything your car insurance needs to cover when driving in Ohio

When driving, you should always make sure you have the right car insurance; suiting your needs, budget, and state regulations. This article will help you to understand which insurance you will need in Ohio and the history of the state’s auto industry.

There may be some facts you didn’t know about, like for bodily injury liability coverage, Ohio driver’s limits are written like so, $25,000/$50,000

But first, let’s explore the iconic history of Ohio…

The birthplace of flight

In 1907, the famed Wright brothers made many prototypes of an airplane in their bicycle shop on the west side of town, which then led to the first successful flight in history. In 2003, congress officially ruled that Ohio was the birthplace of flight.

Ohio isn’t just famous for aviation, but also, for its cars.

James William Lambert was the man who invented the first single-cylinder gasoline-powered automobile. Whilst he was driving in Ohio, he hit a tree root, causing the car to lose control and smash into a post. This was deemed the first-ever automobile accident. There were only minor injuries. Lambert went on to patent over six hundred inventions with most of them related to the automobile industry.

To this day, Ohio ranks as the second largest state for car production in the US.

Insurance you need

Firstly, you need to keep in mind that Ohio law requires that all drivers carry insurance or other proof of financial responsibility to legally operate any motor vehicle.

The main type of insurance you need in Ohio is liability coverage, of which there are two variations:

  • Bodily injury liability coverage – If you accidentally injure someone else, who is not a passenger in your car, this type of coverage can help cover their medical bills.

For bodily injury liability coverage, Ohio driver’s limits are $25,000/$50,000, as previously mentioned. The $25,000/$50,000 numbers reflect that you are carrying $25,000 of bodily injury coverage per person and $50,000 of bodily injury coverage in total.

  • Property damage liability coverage – If you damage someone’s car or personal property, this type of coverage can cover the cost to repair or replace any damages.

Other types of coverage

  • Comprehensive – If your car is stolen or vandalized, you can claim on your insurance to repair or replace your car.
  • Uninsured/underinsured motorist bodily injury coverage (UM/UIMBI) – This will help cover your lost wages and medical bills related to the injuries caused by an uninsured or an underinsured driver.
  • Collision coverage – This will help with the payment to repair or replace your own car if it’s damaged in an accident with another vehicle or object, especially if you are not the one who caused the accident.
  • Medical payments coverage – If you or other passengers in your car get hurt in a car accident, this coverage comes into play, regardless of who was at fault.

Additional coverage

  • Temporary transportation coverage
  • Roadside assistance
  • Glass and windshield coverage

We hope this article has given you more of an understanding of the insurance you need whilst in Ohio, as well as the history of the state.

Bear in mind that each state is different, and before going somewhere you should always check what the regulations are and which insurance type you may need. In addition to this, especially if you are traveling, you should always carry your legal documents on you. In some states, this is a legal requirement, whereas, in others, it’s not – but it’s better to be safe than sorry!

A Step-by-Step Guide to Using Traffic Collision Reports for Insurance Claims in Texas

Photo by Joseph Chan on Unsplash

When it comes to the process of filing an insurance claim after a car accident in Texas, it is important to know how to properly use traffic collision reports in order to ensure that you are receiving the full amount of compensation that you are entitled to receive. Unfortunately, many individuals are not aware of what these reports entail and how to best use them to their advantage. In this blog post, we will provide you with a step-by-step guide to using traffic collision reports, whether taken from the police station or accessed from online portals, such as  Traffic collision – Report, to file insurance claims in Texas so that you can be sure to receive the compensation that you deserve.

1. Requirements for filing a claim

Before beginning the process of filing an insurance claim, it is essential to understand the requirements for filing such a claim in Texas. All drivers involved in the traffic collision must provide their personal information, contact information, vehicle information, and insurance information to any responding law enforcement officers as part of the collision report. Later on, you will be needing this report as part of your insurance claim.

2. Gather the necessary information

The second step is to gather the necessary information. This includes, but is not limited to, the accident’s date, time, and location, the vehicles involved, and the contact information for any witnesses. In addition, you should collect any photos, videos, or other relevant evidence that could help support your claim. It is also important to confirm the insurance information of each party. Once this information is gathered, you can build a complete report.

3. Obtain a copy of the report

Collision reports within Texas can be acquired online or from the nearest police station. All police stations in the state of Texas are required to provide an official copy of any crash report they have on file. To retrieve one, visit the station with a valid form of identification and any pertinent information, such as the date and time of the incident. Be prepared to pay a nominal fee for the document. Once you have the report in hand, you may use it to file an insurance claim.

4. Submit the report and other documents to the insurance carrier

After completing and signing the traffic collision report, you must submit it to the insurance carrier along with any other requested documents. Be sure to double-check that all information is accurate and complete, as any missing information will delay the processing of your claim. Have all documents ready to send, including the original signed report, any photos of the scene or vehicles, and any other supporting documents.

5. Follow up with the insurance carrier

Follow up with the insurance carrier to ensure timely processing of the claim. After submitting the completed traffic collision report and all supporting documents, it is important to contact the insurance carrier to ensure the claim is being processed in a timely manner. Request updates on the progress of the claim and keep all associated documents and records organized in case any issues arise.

In conclusion, understanding the Texas traffic collision reports process is key to making a successful insurance claim. Collecting the necessary documents and reporting the incident promptly is essential for the best outcome. Taking the time to understand the process and teaming up with an experienced attorney will give you the best chance of receiving a favorable outcome.

5 Things to Do After Buying Your First Car

  • Understand the insurance coverage and discounts you are eligible for to ensure your safety and reduce costs
  • Familiarize yourself with your vehicle’s maintenance requirements for optimal performance
  • Get acquainted with the features of your car to ensure proper use
  • Develop good driving habits, such as adhering to traffic signals and avoiding sudden lane changes
  • Learn about fuel efficiency to save money and reduce emissions from your car.

Congratulations on buying your first car! Now you can benefit from the convenience, freedom, and flexibility a car brings to any lifestyle. Driving your first car is an exciting experience, but it also has some essential responsibilities. To help ensure your safety and that of other drivers on the road, here are five things to consider when you become a proud vehicle owner for the first time.

1. Get the Appropriate Insurance Coverage

First, ensure you have the right insurance to cover your new purchase. The amount and type of coverage you need will depend on various factors, such as the make and model of the car you drive, your driving record, and how often you plan on using the vehicle. Speak to an insurance professional who can help determine what kind of policy best suits your individual needs.

It is essential to consider any additional risks associated with your new vehicle. You will need extra coverage if you use it frequently or in special circumstances such as long-distance travel. You may also want to add comprehensive collision coverage to better protect yourself in the event of an accident or theft. Additionally, research insurance discounts that may be available to you based on your driving record and other factors.

2. Understand Your Vehicle’s Maintenance Needs

It’s important to understand that having a car also means taking care of it properly. Make sure to familiarize yourself with all its maintenance requirements, including when oil changes are necessary and any other preventive measures that should be taken to keep it running smoothly for years to come. Knowing where to take your car for service and repair is also important if an issue arises.

In addition to regular maintenance, understanding how often additional services should be completed will help ensure your vehicle operates at its best and is safe for you to drive. Consider scheduling a tune-up every 30,000 miles and an emissions test every two years to keep the engine running smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, checking the tire pressure regularly and replacing them every five to seven years is important for safety and fuel efficiency.

Your seller should be a reliable source of information on all these things, and if they’re honest, they will let you know any issues the car has and how to care for it properly. People from all over Rock County like to visit this Mazda dealer serving Janesville WI to get good deals as well as advice on future maintenance and repair. Knowing what you’re getting into will help you be a more responsible car owner.

3. Acquaint Yourself With Your Car’s Features

Your first car is bound to have features you’ve never experienced before, so getting familiar with them is essential. Read the owner’s manual or consult a professional mechanic who can explain everything in detail. This will help you understand the vehicle better and ensure proper use of its components.

4. Develop Good Driving Habits

Driving requires patience, alertness, and concentration at all times. Always observe all road rules and practice safe driving habits, such as not speeding or texting while behind the wheel. Always follow directions from traffic signs and signals, and avoid making sudden lane changes that could put you in danger.

Here are some ways you can develop good driving habits:

Ensure You’re Alert and Concentrated

Driving requires you to be alert and concentrated at all times. It’s easy to become distracted from texting or talking on the phone, listening to music, or simply daydreaming while driving. To ensure that you remain focused on the task of driving, make sure your cell phone is off, limit distractions in the car like loud music, and take regular breaks if needed.

Follow Road Rules and Use Caution

Always practice safe driving habits, such as not speeding or tailgating other vehicles. Observe all road rules and traffic signs closely, even if it may be inconvenient. Remember that adhering to these safety regulations can help protect you and other drivers on the road.

Avoid Sudden Lane Changes

Sudden lane changes can be dangerous and unpredictable for other drivers, so always use your turn signals when switching lanes. Make sure you give yourself enough space and time to merge into another lane safely without endangering yourself or others.

Get a Driver’s Education

You don’t have to be a new driver to need a driver’s education. If you’re nervous or anxious about driving in general, taking a course through driver’s ed can help refresh your knowledge and build your confidence. Additionally, driver’s ed can help ensure you understand the local rules and regulations if you’re planning to get a license in a new state or country.

5. Learn About Fuel Efficiency

Fuel efficiency is one of the most important things to consider when driving your first car. Understanding how to get the most out of each gas tank can help you save money while reducing emissions. Start by learning about the available fuel types and comparing their prices before filling up at the pump. Additionally, research ways to improve your vehicle’s mileage, such as using cruise control when appropriate or driving with light loads whenever possible.

Final Words

Following these five tips upon purchasing your first car, you’ll be able to maximize its use for years to come without compromising safety or performance. Start by getting the appropriate insurance, understanding your vehicle’s maintenance needs and features, developing safe driving habits, and learning about fuel efficiency. With these tips in mind, you will be able to drive responsibly and enjoy all the benefits of owning a car.

NASCAR reveals 2023 Xfinity Dash 4 Cash, Triple Truck Challenge schedules

Photo by Chad Wells for SpeedwayMedia.com.

With the 2023 NASCAR season nearing its commencement, the Xfinity Series Dash 4 Cash and the Craftsman Truck Series’ Triple Truck Challenge programs will also be returning and featured in the early portions of the upcoming racing schedule.

For the Xfinity Series, the Dash 4 Cash program will launch its 15th consecutive season by hosting its qualifying event at Circuit of the Americas for a second consecutive season on March 25, where the top-four highest-finishing Xfinity regulars in the final running order will contend for the first round of bonus money. The Dash 4 Cash program will then commence at Richmond Raceway on April 1 before returning for the following three consecutive events at Martinsville Speedway on April 15, Talladega Superspeedway on April 22 and Dover Motor Speedway on April 29. The highest-finishing Xfinity competitor in each event will receive the cash-winning prize, with opportunities for the cash-winning prize to increase should a competitor achieve the bonus more than once.

This past season, Sam Mayer commenced the Dash 4 Cash program by winning the first bonus round at Richmond. Veteran AJ Allmendinger claimed the following two bonuses at Martinsville and Talladega before Noah Gragson claimed the fourth and final bonus at Dover. While Allmendinger and Gragson have moved up to the NASCAR Cup Series for this upcoming season, Mayer returns to the Xfinity Series for JR Motorsports as he will contend for another round of bonus money.

For the Craftsman Truck Series, which has been renamed from the Camping World Truck Series, the Triple Truck Challenge will occupy three events for a fifth consecutive season and offer Truck regulars three opportunities to earn bonus money for themselves. The program will launch at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 26 before returning at World Wide Technology Raceway on June 3 and at Nashville Superspeedway on June 23.

A year ago, Corey Heim claimed the first Triple Truck Challenge bonus after winning at World Wide Technology Raceway in Gateway. Ryan Preece went on to claim the second bonus after winning at Nashville before Parker Kligerman capped off the program by winning both the race and the bonus at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. While Preece and Kligerman have moved up to the Cup and Xfinity Series respectively, Heim will receive additional opportunities to compete for additional cash as he returns to the Truck Series as a full-time competitor for TRICON Garage.

For both initiatives, drivers who are competing for championship points in their respective series will only be eligible to compete in their respective cash-winning events (Xfinity for Dash 4 Cash and Truck for Triple Truck Challenge), thus making the Cup Series competitors ineligible for both program events.

As part of the restriction process that will not allow competitors competing in additional national touring series events in major events, drivers who are not competing for Xfinity Series points will be ineligible to compete in the series’ Playoff events, elimination races and the inaugural Xfinity event at the Chicago Street Race that is scheduled to occur on July 1. In addition, Xfinity regulars will not be allowed to compete in the Truck season finale event at Phoenix Raceway on November 3 while Cup regulars are ineligible to compete in the Truck’s Playoff schedule. Cup regulars, however, are permitted to compete in a maximum of five Xfinity and Truck events that do not involve the major bonus, Playoff or championship events.

The 2023 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season is set to commence at Daytona International Speedway on February 17 with the event’s coverage to occur at 7:30 p.m. ET on FS1. The 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season is scheduled to occur the following day on February 18 with the event’s coverage to commence at 5 p.m. ET on FS1.

Weekend Format:

  • The format of this year’s Clash at the Coliseum is largely unchanged from 2022. Saturday, the field will be split into three groups for practice, with each group receiving three sessions to dial in their cars.
  • Following practice, single-round and single-car qualifying will begin to set the starting lineups of Sunday’s heat races — four 25-lap contests in which only green-flag laps will count. In qualifying, each driver gets three laps — one warm-up lap and two timed circuits. Teams will go out for qualifying based on the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series owner points standings from lowest to highest. If there are more than 40 entries to this event, the fastest four open teams will transfer into the heat races.
  • Saturday’s fastest qualifier will earn the pole position in Heat 1, with the second-fastest qualifier earning pole for Heat 2; third-fastest on pole for Heat 3; and fourth-fastest on pole for Heat 4, etc.
  • The heat races will determine both the field for the main event, alongside the starting lineup. The top five finishers in each heat race will automatically advance to the main event, setting the top 20 starting positions.
  • Drivers who finish their heat races outside the top five will fight to advance into the main event through the Last Chance Qualifiers, two 50-lap dashes to officially set the Clash field. The first LCQ will feature those who finished sixth-10th in Heats 1 and 3; the second LCQ hosts those who finished sixth-10th in Heats 2 and 4. The top three drivers in each LCQ will advance and compete in the Clash.
  • The 27th and final spot in the field is reserved for the driver who finished the highest in the 2022 season points standings and who did not already earn a starting position in the Clash.

Keselowski in the Clash:
Starts: 9
Wins: 1 (2018)
Top-10s: 5
Poles: 1

Keselowski is aiming for his 10th appearance in the annual preseason, exhibition event. He is the 2018 winner of the Clash and has five top-10 finishes in the event. He ran fourth in his first-ever Clash in 2012 in his Championship season, and followed that up with a runner-up result in 2014.
In NASCAR’s first-ever appearance at the LA Coliseum a season ago, Keselowski failed to advance to the main event out of the last-chance qualifier race.

Buescher in the Clash:
Starts: 2
Wins: —
Top-10s: 1
Poles: —

Buescher has two starts in the annual Clash event with a best finish of ninth back in 2017. He finished 16th in 2021 in Daytona.
He did not make the main event in 2022 at the LA Coliseum.

RFK Historically at the Clash:
Wins: 1 (Mark Martin, 1999)

NASCAR Hall of Famer Mark Martin has Jack Roush’s lone win in the Clash event, winning back in 1999. He started from the 13th position and went on to lead the final 16 laps, topping Ken Schrader and Bobby Labonte on the podium for the victory.

NASCAR Fan Rewards Launches as Part of 75th Anniversary Season

Program is First of its Kind Currently Offered by a Major Sports League

Daytona Beach, Fla. (Jan. 31, 2023) – NASCAR is home to the most loyal and passionate fans in all of sports, and now fans are being rewarded for that loyalty. As part of its 75th Diamond Anniversary season, NASCAR has launched NASCAR Fan Rewards, a free program that rewards fans for simply engaging with the sport they love.

“Our fans are the reason we race week in and week out, so we wanted to show our appreciation by creating this free program that rewards them for doing what they’re already doing – connecting with the sport they love,” said Pete Jung, NASCAR senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “The best part is, the more fans engage, the more rewards they will earn towards things such as merchandise, gift cards and even race tickets.”

There is no cost to join the rewards program. Fans can visit nascar.com/fanrewards, create an account and start earning points towards rewards immediately. For those fans who already have a NASCAR.com account, they can simply opt-in to NASCAR Fan Rewards via their profile page. Once points are earned, fans can redeem them for items such as race tickets, VIP experiences, autographed merchandise and gift cards, or even donate to the NASCAR Foundation.

Some ways to earn points towards rewards include:

  • Watching Races from Home: Fans can check in on the NASCAR.com (desktop, mobile app, or mobile web) leaderboard during any CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, Xfinity Series, or Cup Series race
  • Attending NASCAR Races: Fans can check in from the NASCAR Track app
  • Playing NASCAR Fantasy Live
  • Participating in Weekly Trivia: Available via the NASCAR Fan Rewards dashboard each week
  • Purchasing Race Tickets and Camping: Points are earned automatically when fans purchase tickets or camping at any NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, Xfinity Series, or Cup Series race
  • Visiting the NASCAR Hall of Fame
  • Purchasing Merchandise from the NASCAR.com Shop

To help launch the program and generate awareness among fans, NASCAR and Spire Motorsports will collaborate to showcase a special NASCAR Fan Rewards paint scheme on the No. 77 Chevrolet driven by Ty Dillon during the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum on Feb. 5.
