Photo by Samuele Errico Piccarini on Unsplash

Everyone’s dream is to buy a trendy car and stride around the places as they desire. But before that, it is mandatory to take up lessons from driving schools, where they learn tricks and rules of driving a car. The driving schools make the process of acquiring your driving license very easily. There are many driving schools like Drivinglessonssolihull that offer various services to their customers. But to enhance the services and offer a satisfactory level of customers, many driving schools offer various packages, which have a positive impact on the growth of the driving school. This article discusses the reasons for how a driving lesson package has a great impact on their growth in the following sections.

Impact of driving lesson packages on driving school

  1. Offers better service

Whatever may be the product, every people will look for the best products and services. So, when a driving school’s lesson package covers a wide variety of options for lesson packages, will offer the customer the flexibility to choose a package as per their requirement. Driving lessons Solihull offers various lesson packages to all the drivers starting from beginner level to those who want to obtain their Pass Plus Certification.

The customers will look for lesson packages that are flexible in terms of cost, time, and plan. Most of the driving school students will expect 10, 20, or 30 hours of organized driving lesson packages.

  1. Driving school student’s effective training

A reputed driving school’s quality of service will be the best, which makes them famous. For beginners, who learn car driving for the first time, normal lesson packages cannot assure passing the road test on the first attempt. Many car accidents that are happening across the world are caused due to a lack of training. Many teenage drivers are losing their lives due to inadequate training.

If the driving school’s lesson packages follow supervised training in driving, the driving school students will be getting an opportunity to enhance their driving ability and learn some tricks and tips that is to be followed while taking a road test.

So, a driving school package must offer 40 hours of supervised training, of which 10 hours of training at night has to be offered. By doing so, the quality of the driving school will increase, attracting more customers. The driving schools can also offer 8, 10, 20, 30, and 40 hours of training, including night time, supervised training, as many car accidents take place at night.

  1. Scheduled training

To attract more customers, a driving school must design a package such that the customers are free to choose their time of training so that the driving school will be able to allot a particular trainer and a vehicle in advance so that the customers will not get frustrated for delays. The driving school must also offer pick-up and drop service to keep up the time slot as asked by the customers.

By following such practices, the driving school can get many customers, and hence they can proper even if they offer services at low rates. By offering scheduled packages, the driving school can easily keep a note of when, where, and how many hours are training has to be offered, without any stress and at the same time attract more customers and earn more money.

  1. Profits will raise

Generally, whatever type of business you start, it will be able to prosper only if the business satisfies their customer. Similarly, a driving school can prosper, as the lesson packages they offer are convenient, useful, and flexible to the driving school students. A driving lesson package can offer the following choices:

  • The single lesson for $75
  • Three lesson package for $200
  • Five lesson package for $ 300
  • State requirement of 6 hours of training as well a road test for $425
  • State requirement of 12 hours of training as well a road test for $650
  • 86 hours of the full package that covers training, observations that come for 3-4 months for $2400
  1. Packages attract more referrals.

The lesson packages offered by driving schools help in creating a healthy student and instructor relationship. This will help the students to learn effectively and quickly, and the instructor can also be successful and make the driving school successful. The driving school students, upon reaching their satisfactory level, will talk about the quality of the driving school to their friends and family. This will circulate to all, thereby attracting more customers and, at the same increase the income of the driving school.

Thus this article has discussed the impact of the driving lesson package on the driving schools, where the driving schools can prosper and earn a good name and money. For getting to know more about the services offered by the best driving school, visit Driving Lessons Solihull.

Speedway Media mourns the passing of Ed Coombs

Speedway Media (SM) is saddened by the loss of one of our founding members, Ed Coombs. Ed was instrumental in the early stages of SM for gathering and developing the resources, relationships, and respect among the NASCAR community. He fought hard every day to make online coverage recognized and respected during times in the early 2000s when online coverage was not. Ed’s hard work eventually paid off and SM and many other outlets have him, in part, to thank.

Ed loved photography and NASCAR was a part of it. You can view some of Ed’s great shots that span over two decades on our photography page here.

Along with photography Ed also contributed his thoughts throughout the season. His weekend stories and opinions can be viewed here.

Ed helped out as an editor and publisher when needed, but he was our credential guy for 20 years. If you ever needed an opinion or just a straight answer, Ed was the guy. His support, advice, and encouragement were integral to the success of Speedway Media. Ed, you will be greatly missed.

Ed’s Facebook post.

Sending our heartfelt condolences out to the entire Coombs family during this time. Ed, we will never forget you, RIP my friend.

The funeral and memorial details have not been finalized at the time of this post. We will update the arrangements when they become available.

LaJoie to achieve 150 starts across NASCAR at Kansas

Photo by Tim Jarrold for SpeedwayMedia.com.

A significant milestone is in the making for Corey LaJoie, driver of the No. 32 Go Fas Racing Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Cup Series. By taking the green flag in this weekend’s Cup Series Playoff race at Kansas Speedway, LaJoie will reach 150 starts across NASCAR’s top three major division series.

A native of Kannapolis, North Carolina, and the son of two-time NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Randy LaJoie, Corey’s first appearance within NASCAR’s three major division series was the 2013 Xfinity Series season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway in November. By then, he was a development competitor for Richard Petty Motorsports and he had won six career races in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and three in the ARCA Racing Series. Driving the No. 9 Ford Mustang for RPM, LaJoie finished 34th in his debut after being involved in an early accident.

LaJoie’s racing schedule in 2014 expanded, as he made his first two starts in the NASCAR Truck Series with RBR Enterprises and five starts in the Xfinity Series with Biagi-DenBeste Racing. His best result in the Truck Series was 10th at Bristol Motor Speedway in August and his best result in the Xfinity Series was 16th at Kentucky Speedway in June. He also made his first two career starts in the NASCAR Cup Series with Randy Humphrey Racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in September and at Charlotte Motor Speedway in October.

Following a one-year absence from NASCAR, LaJoie returned in 2016 and competed in 10 Xfinity Series races with JGL Racing. His best results during his 10-race slate were a 10th-place result at Bristol in August and a sixth-place result at Dover International Speedway in October.

The following season, LaJoie joined forces with BK Racing as a part-time Cup Series competitor. During the first Can-Am Duel race at Daytona International Speedway in February, LaJoie rallied from being involved in a controversial wreck with Reed Sorenson, whom LaJoie wrecked in the closing laps, to finish 16th and earn a transfer spot in the Daytona 500 a few days later. LaJoie went on to finish 24th in his first Daytona 500 appearance.

Throughout the 2017 season, LaJoie competed in 32 of 36 Cup races while earning a best result of 11th place at Daytona in July and an average result of 30.2. He also competed in six Xfinity races with JGL Racing and earned a best result of 15th place (twice).

In 2018, LaJoie joined TriStar Motorsports as a part-time Cup competitor. He competed in 23 of 36 races with the team, earning a best result of 16th place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in September and an average result of 31.5.

After TriStar Motorsports ceased operations following the 2018 season, LaJoie teamed up with Go Fas Racing to drive the No. 32 Ford Mustang for the 2019 Cup season. LaJoie started the season by finishing in 18th place in the Daytona 500. Through the first 10 races of the season, his highest result on the track was 11th place at Talladega Superspeedway in April. He went on to achieve his first pair of top-10 results in the Cup circuit at Daytona in July (sixth place) and at Talladega in October (seventh place). He concluded the season in 29th place in the final standings along with seven top-20 results and an average result of 25.9. Following the 2019 season, LaJoie surpassed 100 starts between NASCAR’s three major division series.

LaJoie remained with Go Fas Racing for the 2020 Cup season. He started this season on a harrowing note when he rammed into the upside down car of Ryan Newman on the driver’s side approaching the finish line. The impact demolished the front nose of LaJoie’s No. 32 RagingBull.com Ford Mustang, though he was able to finish in eighth place and emerge uninjured. He went on to finish in 16th place the following week at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Through 32 of 36 races this season, LaJoie’s eighth-place result in the Daytona 500 marks his lone top-10 result, though he has achieved a total of six top-20 results. He is in 30th place in the standings and is coming off a 27th-place result in last weekend’s Cup race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course.

LaJoie is set to become a free agent after announcing in August that he will not be remaining with Go Fas Racing for the 2021 season, though he has yet to announce next year’s racing plans.

Catch LaJoie’s milestone start at Kansas Speedway on Sunday, October 18, at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

Chase Elliott was awarded the pole position for the upcoming NASCAR Cup Series event at Kansas Speedway, the Hollywood Casino 400, on Sunday, October 18, which marks the first event in the Round of 8 in the 2020 Cup Playoffs.

The starting lineup was based on four stats: current owner points position, the driver’s results from a previous Cup race, the owner’s results from a previous Cup race and the fastest lap established from a previous Cup race.

With that, Elliott, who is coming off his second consecutive win at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course and third victory of this season after leading a race-high 27 laps, will lead the field to the start of this weekend’s event at Kansas as he will start on pole position for the fifth time this season. In addition, the Dawsonville, Georgia, native will look to secure a spot in the Championship Round at Phoenix Raceway scheduled on Sunday, November 8, and battle for his first Cup title.

Joey Logano, who finished in second place behind Elliott at the Charlotte Roval, will start alongside Elliott’s No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet on the front row at Kansas. Kurt Busch, Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr. will start in the top five followed by Alex Bowman, Denny Hamlin and Brad Keselowski, as the Playoff field is down to the final eight competitors vying for four spots in the Championship Round.

Ryan Blaney, the highest non-title contender, will start in ninth place while William Byron will round out the top-10 starting grid.

Starting in positions 11-25 are Erik Jones, Clint Bowyer, Cole Custer, Jimmie Johnson, Tyler Reddick, Aric Almirola, Austin Dillon, Matt DiBenedetto, Ryan Preece, Kyle Busch, Chris Buescher, Christopher Bell, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Bubba Wallace and Ty Dillon.

Bayne on Racing at Kansas: “This is a surreal opportunity for my family and myself,” said Bayne. “To see our business, Mahalo Coffee Roasters, that we started from scratch, less than two years ago on our Niece Motorsports truck this weekend is unbelievable! I hope we can come away from Kansas one spot better than where we finished at Talladega and continue building momentum as a team.”

Bayne at Kansas: Saturday’s NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway marks Bayne’s first Truck Series start at the track.

Bayne has four NASCAR XFINITY Series starts at Kansas Speedway with three top-10 finishes.

In four NASCAR Cup Series starts at the 1.5-mile track, Bayne earned four top-20 finishes.

On the Truck: The No. 45 Chevrolet will carry the Mahalo Coffee Rosters colors this weekend at Kansas Speedway.

While traveling all over the country from track to track, Trevor and the Bayne family would seek out the best local coffee roasters and the coolest shops in town. When Trevor and his wife Ashton moved back to Knoxville, they prayed through what God would have them do next. It started to become apparent that coffee was something He had given Trevor a passion for and would be a great way to plant roots and have impact in their hometown.

Australia is quickly becoming the leader in specialty coffee culture so when a friend told Trevor about a roaster on the Sunshine Coast that would train him, Trevor and his family made the 15-hour flight to Brisbane. Trevor spent the next 10 days with Sean of Kai Coffee learning how to run an efficient cafe, roast consistently and properly, and also how to brew great tasting coffee.

A one-pound Mill City sample roaster and Decent Espresso Machine showed up a month after returning from Australia. For the next six months Trevor ordered small lots of coffee and roasted/brewed. Once he felt like he was able to put out coffee that other people would enjoy, he bought a 6-pound San Franciscan Roaster and started looking for a space to put the shop.

This business came to life through God’s leading, their love for coffee, coastal towns, community and their home in Knoxville, TN.

Kauai, Hawaii is one of their favorite places to visit so they brought a piece of it home. Mahalo is the Hawaiian word for “Thank you” or being grateful.

Ford Performance NASCAR: Kevin Harvick Kansas 2 Media Availability Transcript

NASCAR CUP SERIES
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2020
KANSAS MEDIA AVAILABILITY

Kevin Harvick, driver of the No. 4 Busch Light Beer Ford Mustang, enters this weekend’s Round of 8 NASCAR Cup Series opener at Kansas Speedway as the top seed. He was part of a NASCAR Zoom call earlier today and discussed the playoffs, along with other topics with members of the media.

KEVIN HARVICK, No. 4 Busch Light Beer Ford Mustang — WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THIS ROUND? “I think the challenges are just the typical Round of 8. As you look at the playoffs in general you just have to be prepared for anything. As you look at Kansas, it’s kind of a tweener I guess you could say as far as the 550 package goes. You have a high wear racetrack with the high drag package, so you have to decide how much downforce and things you want in your car. Obviously, the temperature is a lot different as we go to Kansas this weekend, so it won’t be like it was the first race with the higher temperatures. Texas has been a good racetrack for us, but it’s also much different than what you want at Kansas and then you throw in the short track at Martinsville, so you’ve got a little bit of everything. The last round was definitely unique and had a lot of twists and turns as we went through all the different types of racetracks.”

DOES THE INTERNAL PRESSURE START TO BUILD IN THE DRIVER OR THE TEAM AS THE PLAYOFFS GO DEEPER? “There’s really no change for us. We’ve been here, done this. We know what’s in front of us. You go and prepare and that’s why we’ve stuck with the attitude of trying to playoff race every week and the expectation is to go out and be competitive and if you’re not, come home and figure out why and try to address it and move on to the next one. It’s survive and advance at this particular point. You just have to see what the first week brings and then go to the next week and try to do the same thing and in the end you want to try to win. That’s the safest path forward, so hopefully we can do that and put ourselves in a good position and try to move onto Phoenix.”

HOW MUCH OF THE SUCCESS YOU’VE HAD IN THE PLAYOFFS HAS HELPED EXTEND YOUR CAREER TO GET TO THIS POINT AND GO FURTHER? “I think that’s the one thing that I try to explain to all the younger racers. An extra 100,000 people on Twitter isn’t gonna make you stick around longer. Performance on the racetrack is really the bread and butter of what we do and no matter if you have a funny personality or you have a famous last name it doesn’t matter. In the end, Danica Patrick is probably the best example that I can think of that, is just the fact of having the results on the racetrack. I think every week we’ve put a lot of pressure on ourselves to figure out why we didn’t run like we did or why we ran like we did in order to try to continue that trend forward. I like what I do. I like my team more than anything and that’s really the driving factor in what makes all of this go around is having a team that believes in you, and I have an organization that believes in me and we’ve been fortunate to have a lot of success on the racetrack. Look, in the end it’s the same in every sport. You have to be successful at what you’re doing. Getting caught up in the rest of it is good in the down times, and I think for me I learned that at RCR and however you choose that in those down years is sometimes we ran well in the Xfinity car and that kept us relevant to keep racing on the Cup side. Sometimes you caused headlines in order to keep yourself in the mix and move yourself forward, but fortunately now it’s really just about the results and having all that side chatter kind of put to bed takes a lot of things away from the equation. Just make it simpler. We can concentrate on trying to be good on the racetrack and in the end that comes with a team and people around you that can get the job done and believe in what you’re doing.”

AFTER THE RACE YOU SAID YOU NEED TO RUN BETTER IN THE NEXT ROUND. IS THERE ANY REASON TO THINK YOU WON’T RUN BETTER? “No, I think these racetracks are right up our alley, especially the first two. I think as you look back the Roval has been a good, decent racetrack for us the last couple years. It was fine this weekend. I got us behind running into the back of the car and trying to figure out what I needed to do in the wet conditions, and in the end we had a sixth or seventh-place car. I think as you look at that it was fine. Talladega is just Talladega and Vegas we just missed it a little bit, so I think as you line up the first two races they’re definitely right in our wheelhouse.”

WHAT DID JIMMIE JOHNSON WINNING FIVE STRAIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPS TELL YOU ABOUT HIM AS A COMPETITOR AND DRIVER? “I think you guys have heard me talk about this before — not only is he a good driver but he had a great team. I think Jimmie would be the first one to tell you that it takes all those people around you to make the car go fast because you can’t drive a slow car fast. Still, being in that position to have to perform at that level and you saw him do it in so many different ways as the dominant car, as the car that was behind. On the years he was expected to win he won, and on the days that you didn’t expect them to be around they won too. That takes a lot of focus and a lot of attention to the details of what’s going on and to perform in those types of scenarios, so he’s had a great career and in the end, for me, it’s really not about Jimmie on the racetrack it’s always been about Jimmie off the racetrack because of the fact that everything he does good or bad is handled correctly. He’s just that type of role model that every sport needs and when you have a young athlete that you want to point in a direction to say, ‘How should I do this?’ In the racing world you point him in the Jimmie Johnson direction because of the way that he’s done it.”

AS A FORMER TEAM OWNER THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF TALK ABOUT THE NEXT GEN CAR DRAWING NEW OWNERSHIP TO THE SPORT. FROM AN ECONOMIC STANDPOINT WHAT ARE YOU SEEING THERE AND FROM A DRIVER’S STANDPOINT WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE IN THE CAR WHEN IT GETS ON THE TRACK? “I’ve not even seen the car. I’m a very short-term focused type of guy and that’s really just how we approach things. I think there’s been a lot of time and a lot of effort by a lot of people put into the car, so I’m looking forward to eventually getting to drive it. I think from the economic side there’s obviously something to the economic side that I don’t particularly know is coming or understand because there seems to be a ton of new interest for some sort of reason in the ownership side, which is great for all of us, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that it’s all happening at once because of the new car. There’s obviously something that makes the economics of it make more sense with all these folks wanting to jump onboard, so that’s great for everybody and I think that was part of the intention of where we were headed with cutting things back and trying to make it more friendly from a financial side. That plan seems to be working, which is great for everybody.”

WHAT IS THE ONE INTANGIBLE THAT WILL CARRY YOU OVER THE TOP THIS YEAR AS OPPOSED TO WHEN YOU FINISHED THIRD IN THE STANDINGS THE LAST THREE YEARS? “We haven’t won three races in a row at Phoenix. I know that for sure, but I can tell you that obviously Texas has been a good racetrack for us. Kansas has been decent for us, but right now we’re focused on Kansas and trying to get as good and as solid of a day as we can from a points standpoint and hopefully put yourself in a position to have a chance to win. It’s definitely three or four racetracks, however you want to look at, that lay out better than the last three, so that’s a good thing.”

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON CLINT BOWYER RETIRING AT THE END OF THE YEAR? “Clint is entertaining, that’s for sure. Obviously, for me it’s a little bit different just because of the fact that I’ve had two of them retire on me now in the 14 car with Tony and Clint. Clint is a person who has been a lot of fun to be around. I’ve enjoyed racing around Clint. I think he’s gonna be in a position that really puts him in a spot to let us all be entertained by the Clint Bowyer that we all know, but Clint came onboard in 2004 or 2005 and we traveled testing cars and having fun and learning how to race. He knew how to race when he got there, he just needed to figure out the asphalt side of things at this particular level and he could do it and wound up in a Cup car shortly thereafter that. It definitely has been a great run with where Clint started and where he is today, and I think for all of us it’s great to have him in the booth at Fox and will be fun to hear what he has to say.”

DO YOU THINK WE’LL EVER SEE FULL YEAR SPONSORS AGAIN OR MULTI-YEAR SPONSORSHIPS? “I do not. I think that this sport has changed and I think for me one of the biggest reasons that I am still here is we’ve been heavily involved on a day-to-day basis of trying to make sure that our sponsors are happy. I think that’s the biggest thing we’ve done correctly through the last 20 years is really understand the relationship with the sponsors and understanding that you need to have that line of communication that is open on a weekly basis in order to make sure that you are where you are and everybody is happy, especially in today’s world when you have so much turnover in a lot of these companies and getting to know the new people and just making sure that it all works for everybody. That’s really what it boils down to. You can’t just jump in, drive the car and hope for the best on the sponsorship side. You need to understand that there are a lot of moving pieces to the sponsorship side and I think for the team ownership side of the days when we really were on the front side of this model of placing sponsors one race at a time, turning them into three or four or five races and developing these relationships. You look at Anheuser-Busch we’ve had for a decade. We’ve got a great relationship with them. We’ve been through what most people thought was a crazy brand change within Anheuser-Busch that turned into one of the greatest sponsorship moves in the sport’s history just because of the fact that Busch is so intertwined with our fans and it’s right up NASCAR’s alley of that type of sponsorship and they’ve basically come in and activated and done things at a level that really most people aren’t doing from a sponsorship side of things. Then you look at Mobil and Hunt Brothers Pizza and all the folks that we have on our car that have been there for a while. Obviously, we switched manufacturers, but I think as you look at Ford it really fits that style of company that we’ve had. Most of the sponsorship that we’ve had even on the personal side of things from E-Z-GO to Wiley X. A lot of those brands that have been with us for a long time on the Morton Building side, a lot of those you’re looking at some over a decade. So, those relationships are what help keep everything headed in the right direction when you have the proper funding.”

SOME SPONSORS LOOK AT SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE AND THINGS YOU DO AWAY FROM THE TRACK, SO IS IT JUST AS IMPORTANT IN TERMS OF THE SPONSORSHIP SIDE AS PERFORMANCE ON THE TRACK. OR IS PERFORMANCE ON THE TRACK NO. 1? “If you win races, you’ll gain more followers on every platform, I promise.”
