  • Thomas Annunziata (No. 70 Nitro Motorsports Toyota) earned his first career General Tire Pole Award in qualifying for Saturday’s ARCA Menards Series Lime Rock Park 100. Annunziata, who will make his fourth career series start tomorrow, turned a lap of 54.193 seconds/98.182 miles per hour around the 1.47-mile, seven-turn layout at Lime Rock Park.
  • Annunziata has three Trans Am starts at Lime Rock Park, with two third place finishes in 2023 and 2024, and a runner-up finish earlier this year.
  • Annunziata finished second in his ARCA Menards Series debut at Daytona International Speedway in 2024. He scored another top-five finish, fourth, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
  • Brent Crews (No. 18 Mobil 1 Toyota) will start alongside Annunziata tomorrow. Crews paced practice earlier in the day, but fell 0.127 seconds short of the top spot in qualifying. Crews has three Trans Am starts at Lime Rock Park, with a best finish of seventh in 2023.
  • Lawless Alan (No. 20 AUTOParkIt Toyota), the 2019 Trans Am TA2 Rookie of the Year, qualified third in his first career ARCA Menards Series road course appearance. Alan finished eleventh in his only Trans Am start at Lime Rock Park in 2019.
  • Alon Day (No. 25 JSSI Toyota) qualified fourth in his first career ARCA Menards Series appearance.
  • ARCA Menards Series championship points leader Brenden Queen (No. 28 BestRepair.net Chevrolet) qualified fifth in his first career ARCA Menards Series road course appearance.
  • Ryan Gemmel (No. 29 TC3 Turf/Multibuilding Inc. Chevrolet), protégé of former NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Joe Nemechek, qualified sixth, ahead of two-time ARCA Menards Series East winner at Lime Rock Dale Quarterley (No. 4 Van Dyk Recycling Chevrolet). Isabella Robusto (No. 55 Yahoo Toyota), Lavar Scott (No. 6 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet), and Glen Reen (No. 73 New Wave Home Chevrolet) rounded out the top ten qualifiers.
  • The Lime Rock Park 100 will be 68 laps, with a five-minute break scheduled at or around lap 34.
  • Teams will have three sets of tires to use throughout the event, plus wet tires if needed.
  • Should the race be extended into overtime, there will be one attempt at a one-lap “green and white together” finish.
  • The Lime Rock Park 100 will be the 32nd road course race in the history of the ARCA Menards Series. Lime Rock Park is the 181st different track the series has raced at, and Connecticut is the 32nd state to host at least one ARCA Menards Series race.
  • The Lime Rock Park 100 will be televised live on FS2 starting at 4 pm ET. HAMPTON, Ga. (June 27, 2025) – Joe Gibbs Racing driver Chase Briscoe was made available to the media on Friday prior to qualifying for the NASCAR Cup Series race at EchoPark Speedway.

Has there been any surprise congratulations since your win at Pocono?

“Nobody that was super surprising. I felt like it was a normal cast of characters. Tony (Stewart) did reach out and told me that he was super happy for me, and I was texting him last night about him running the midget at IRP (Indianapolis Raceway Park). It was super cool that he reached out. He didn’t have to do that, right? I would say – nobody that was really surprising, just kind of the normal people for sure.”

At the end of the race, we know you are going to be racing for the win, but are you also going to be aware of where Noah Gragson is running?

“It definitely is going to be a unique complexion to the race. I’ve never really been where it is head-to-head with one other guy. In the Playoffs, you are racing only really against 15 or 11 or 7 or 3 other guys, but never head-to-head. It will kind of be unique – if you are running 14th and they are running 16th – like that battle is going to be really intense in the mix of the battle of the race itself. It will be kind of hard, having that play out on a superspeedway – just because here, we can really be all right on top of each other, right? You could almost have a battle for the win for 15th with the guy. It is going to be a unique layer to the race. Maybe it could cause chaos at the end. I don’t know how desperate people will be in the first round, but if you get knocked out the first round, you can’t move on. I think it will add a very unique element to the race, and I’m looking forward to it. It should be a lot of fun.”

Have you or has the team put any emphasis on the in-season tournament?

“I’ve looked – not only at the matchup with Noah (Gragson) – but kind of who I will go up against every round. The team, I don’t think, truthfully, really cares. They are more worried about winning the race, and obviously, if you win the race, you are going to move on anyways. I don’t think the teams are going to change their strategy based on who you are racing, because based on the Playoff standpoint, it doesn’t really do anything. I do think when you get to the final round, or even the final four, I think there is maybe a chance that maybe teams will call a different strategy based on the Playoff situation, but yeah, it is definitely something I looked at. Noah and I trash talked each other for a little bit this week, so it will be fun to kind of have that competition, and certainly, out of all of the tracks, I would say, in this matchup deal, I’m by far the most nervous about this one – especially going up against Noah. This is a place where you can come and run really, really well, so it will be a tough challenge for sure.”

Do you get paid directly if you win this tournament?

“I have no idea. Honestly, when I did my contract at JGR (Joe Gibbs Racing) – I don’t think this had even been announced yet, so it really wasn’t even a talking point like it would be, when you run Xfinity with the Dash 4 Cash. It was a thing you would work around. Yeah, I need to figure that out. We have five weeks before I really need to know, but that would be cool for sure.”

Are you feeling more relaxed or relieved after getting the win?

“There is definitely a sigh of relief – just a weight off your shoulders, but honestly, I’m expected to win multiple races, not just win one and be done. I think the pressure just continues to ratchet up, but it is definitely nice to just get a win and just try to know that I can do it. It is a weird sense of feelings, because there is a sense of relief but there is also a sense of more pressure because now, they know you can win, just an unique situation for myself.”

Do you want to be racing Noah Gragson back to the line?

“I don’t know. It depends on where the wreck is, right? You don’t want to be racing through a wreck. It will be kind of unique – just how this race plays out. You could be able to be making a move against the guy you are racing against, and the caution comes out and it changes everything. It will be fun going against Noah (Gragson). He’s probably my best buddy on my entire circuit. We play golf a lot, and he’s actually my son’s favorite driver (laughter), so the pressure is on this weekend.”

Are you more comfortable against Noah Gragson versus another Toyota?

“Honestly, I feel like here at a superspeedway, we’ve seen how good the Fords are, and going against a Ford here is certainly a hard challenge. This is one of those race tracks that no matter what team you are with, you kind of have a shot to go and win. It’s no secret, right? Noah (Gragson) is not at one of the powerhouse teams, but when he comes here, he can be right here in the mix. Front Row cars qualified on the front row here last year, so it will be a challenge. I know that Noah will probably qualify well. The Toyotas don’t typically qualify quite as well, but our cars will handle really, really good in the race. It is going to be a tough challenge. Anybody that you are going up against in the Cup Series is going to be hard. Anybody can beat anybody on any given day, so it is going to be a hard one. Of all the weeks, I definitely feel like this is the one that I’m the most nervous about because this is the one that is the most out of my control, but it will be fun. Hopefully, I win because if I don’t, I will never hear the end of it from Noah or my son.”

Is this a track that would benefit from you having practice?

“I mean, yeah, I’m sure like if we had practice, guys would go out there in a pack and practice for sure. I don’t know if that would make the racing any better. I think that is one of the unique things about this place out of all of the speedways – this is where your car’s balance comes into play the most – especially that first run of the race, we always see the guys that start at the back will take on the long run and guy’s cars just don’t drive very good, so I don’t know. Would practice make our cars drive better? Yeah, absolutely, but would that put on a better race, I don’t think so. I’m not against it, especially this weekend with how hot is going to be – handling is going to be a premium, and I think you are going to see the teams that hit it the best, especially this first run of the race, really be able to take advantage of it. I’m not for practice here yet; 10 years from now, I might have a totally different answer, but for now, I’m good with it.”

Is there any way to get Brooks to root for you over Noah Gragson?

“No. Noah (Gragson) is like that uncle that you take your kid too that has Pop-Tarts, ice cream – everything else when he’s with him – every candy that you try not to give your kid. So, yeah, Brooks definitely loves Noah for that reason. Every time he’s around him, he’s getting sugared up like nobody’s business. Brooks definitely likes Noah, and it will be fun to go up against him and all of the trash talk leading into it. It will be a lot of fun.”

Do you feel like everything with the 19 team is starting to gel at the right time?

“For sure. It has definitely been a learning curve to start the season – I feel like these last, really the last month, four or five weeks, we’ve really started growing a lot and we’ve gotten to a really good point. I think there is things that we can still do better. I feel like our communication and trust in each other has grown a lot these last four weeks, so hopefully that will just continue to get better. Like I said, there is still a long way to go, but I do feel really, really good about where we are at right now. I felt good about where we were at the beginning of the season – but it was so new, and we were still learning each other that we are finally to that point of where we have an understanding and a baseline and we continue to get better and better at that. It should only get better as time goes.”

What does it mean to throw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field?

“It is going to be super cool. I didn’t really start racing until I was 11, so all I did growing up was play baseball. Growing up as a kid, I wouldn’t say I’m a Cubs fan now, but as a kid, I loved the Cubs. I loved Sammy Sosa, and Gary Gaetti played there. I loved the Cubs for whatever reason, and whenever I played my MLB video game, I would always pick the Cubs. If I had a my career player, it was always with the Cubs, so it is going to be really cool to go to such an iconic place like Wrigley, and for me, I grew up playing baseball and loving baseball. Truthfully my early passion was to be a baseball player, so for me to go there, and throw out the first pitch is going to be really, really special, so looking forward to the opportunity. It is going to be neat, and they are playing the Guardians, which is the team that I’m the closest to now. The kid that I grew up playing baseball with travel ball is the travel coordinator there, so I’ve gotten to know a lot of the Guardians organization and a lot of their team management guys. A couple of their players are huge NASCAR fans, so getting texts from them almost every single week, so it is going to be cool that it just so happens that the Cubs are playing them and they are all going to be there too, so it will be nice to see some friends too.”

Have you practiced yet?
“No, I’m just going to go there and let it rip. I played enough baseball growing up that I feel like I’m going to be alright, I just might throw my shoulder out that is all (laughter).”

What does the Briscoes generally do on the Fourth of July?

“Definitely at a Sprint Car track and baseball before I got to that point. I would be playing baseball tournaments, but yeah the Fourth of July – Bloomington Speedway always had a massive fireworks show. It was one of the best in the state, so it was all really cool to go there as a kid and be able to celebrate the Fourth of July and watch Sprint Cars and watch fireworks, and now to do it in Chicago will be pretty neat. Looking forward to the opportunity.”

How old is Brooks and has he filled out a bracket?

“He is three-and-a-half, and he hasn’t filled out a bracket. I need to have him do that, just to see who he picks. I would say that Kyle Larson will definitely goes far, Kyle Busch and Noah (Gragson) and Austin Cindric – those are four guys, I would say. Actually, I’m going to have Brooks fill out a bracket and I’ll post it online.”

Have you noticed the excitement around the in-season tournament?

“Definitely noticed on social media for sure. A lot of people have been tagging me in brackets and people just posting their brackets in general. It is really cool. Growing up, and you can still do this today, when March comes around that was the thing – you would fill out your March Madness bracket, and for us to finally have something like that is a lot of fun. People can kind of follow along, and even for myself – it might not be your favorite team, but you find yourself cheering for them if you pick in them in the bracket, and I think the same for us. People will pick drivers that they might not necessarily like, and will be cheering for them to be better in the race. It is a fun angle for all sports to kind of have that bracket.”

How long was Joe Campbell your spotter?

“Well, he doesn’t do it now, but it was 2022, 2023 and 2024.”

What was it like to change spotters?

“It is hard. Anytime you switch spotters – you get just used to having that same voice in your ear, and you learn their tendencies and you learn by the sound of their voice how urgent things need to be, you really put all of your trust in that person, but it takes time to build that trust. I worked with Tim Fedewa for three or four years and then went to Joe (Campbell), and it took us a while to get that trust built up and you learn things, so for Christopher (Bell) to be on his third different spotter is tough, because each spotter has their own way. For example, Joe, he would clear me if there was an inch – it was going be tight, but now, my spotter, Drew (Herring), his tight clear might be five inches – it is the same for Christopher. Tab (Boyd) now – how willing he’s able to clear him on things is going to be totally different than the other two guys he has worked with, and the sound of his voice and how urgent he is, even the emotional part of it is a challenge, especially, going to a place like this, where I feel like the spotter is very important as it is. It is always tough for the driver, but that is why when you find a spotter that you like and you work well with and you have confidence in, you try to stick with them for as long as possible. It will be interesting to see how Christopher adapts. He’s obviously really, really good, so he will be fine, but having that voice in your ear is a huge part of your success, especially at a place like this.”

Are you aware when you are around Christopher Bell this weekend that he has a new spotter?

“I feel like when you are in the heat of the moment and you are racing, I’m not thinking about who his spotter is, but I will say that when you have that constant guy, I know there are some spotter that will call tighter clears or be more aggressive on blocks, so when you are racing that guy, you kind of know that and when you get close enough, well this spotter will typically give it to you, call it inside or outside, but with a new spotter, I won’t be thinking he’s got a new spotter this weekend. I’m used to how they race throughout the season, based on their spotter, and some guys are just way more aggressive than others and you know that when you are racing them, but yeah, at the end of the day, I don’t think tomorrow will be like oh he’s got a new spotter, I need to be hesitant or anything like that, it will definitely be a challenging or a different complexion of a race for him and that’s totally different for sure.”

IROC Cars and Stars Hit The Track At The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion

A celebration of the International Race of Champions returns to the West Coast for the first time in more than 20 years

MONTEREY, Calif. (June 27, 2025) – A raucous field of 24 IROC race cars will join the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for the first time on Aug. 13-16.

The International Race of Champions (IROC) series was the brainchild of businessman and motorsports legend Roger Penske. It was an automotive all-star event with the top drivers of the day competing in identical machinery.

This group is stacked with racing legends from a variety of disciplines, including NASCAR legends Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, Bill Elliott, Ken Schrader, and Bobby Labonte, as well as Zak Brown, Danny Sullivan, Scott Pruett, and many more. Al Unser Jr. will serve as Grand Marshall of the IROC Class.

However, the cars also bring significant star power to this group, as Ray Evernham, co-owner of IROC, has helped assemble an impressive field representing all seven generations of IROC cars. The 2025 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion will mark the first time in history that all seven generations of IROC cars will be displayed together in one place. Here’s a glimpse of some of the machines that will tackle the 2.238-mile circuit:

1974 Porsche 911

Driver: William E. (Chip) Connor II

The car chosen for IROC’s inaugural series was the fast and reliable Porsche 911 Carrera RSR. Fifteen cars were ordered in a rainbow of colors to enhance television viewing. Chassis 0075, delivered in “Mexico Blue,” was raced in the 1974 IROC series by Formula 1 Ace Denny Hulme, USAC National Champion Roger McCluskey, and NASCAR Champion David Pearson.

1975 Chevrolet Camaro

Driver: Shaun Lynn/Alex Lynn

After IROC’s inaugural season using Porsches that ultimately proved to be too expensive to maintain, the series switched to Chevrolet Camaros. Pulled straight from the showroom floor, these cars were outfitted with roll cages and upgraded mechanical components, ushering in the era of the IROC Camaro. This Camaro was campaigned in several events between 1974 and 1977 by David Pearson, Johnny Rutherford, A.J. Foyt, Brian Redman and James Hunt. It notoriously competed in a race at Daytona International Speedway in 1975, where Foyt drove the car in a battle against Bobby Unser. Foyt ultimately ended the race just a few feet short of Unser, which became the second closest finish in IROC history.

1978 Chevrolet Camaro

Driver: Zak Brown

After three seasons using Camaros, many of the NASCAR drivers who competed in IROC encouraged the series to transition to a tube frame chassis for added safety at the superspeedways like Daytona and Michigan. IROC followed this direction and debuted a new IROC Camaro for the 1977-1978 season using “bodies in white” directly from General Motors and a modern tube frame chassis built by renowned race car builder Banjo Matthews. Cale Yarborough and Darrell Waltrip drove this 1978 Chevrolet Camaro to victory, and Alan Jones drove it to fourth place during its successful career. Hollywood stars Clint Eastwood, Paul Newman, Gene Hackman and James Brolin also enjoyed some seat time behind the wheel of this car during a media track day at then-Sears Point Raceway in 1977.

1985 Chevrolet Camaro

Driver: Bill Elliott

For the 1984 IROC season, General Motors and IROC partnered to debut the Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z on the track and in dealerships across the country as an upgraded Camaro street car trim package. Owned by Richard Griot, NASCAR champion Bill Elliott will return to the seat of the 1985 Chevrolet Camaro in which he won the 1988 IROC race at Daytona International Speedway. This golden beauty was also driven by Dale Earnhardt, Bobby Rahal, Scott Pruett and Geoff Bodine.

1990 Dodge Daytona

Driver: Scott Pruett

Prior to receiving its Dodge Daytona bodywork, this car began life as an IROC Camaro and won two races, 1985 Michigan International Speedway driven by Harry Gant and 1986 Daytona International Speedway driven by Al Unser Jr. Gant’s win in 1985 will go down as one of the series’ most legendary championship finishes. Gant entered the final race of the 1985 season at Michigan 12 points behind the championship leader, Darrell Waltrip. Gant would go on to win the race and, by doing so, create a tie with Waltrip in the season-long points race. The tie break was determined based on who had the highest finishing position in the race, which gave Gant the 1985 IROC championship. IROC’s long standing relationship with General Motors came to an end after the 1989 season, resulting in its fleet of race cars, including this car, being rebodied as Dodge Daytonas. After retiring from IROC competition, this car remained in Roger Penske’s private collection until early 2025. It is one of the very few IROC Dodge Daytona race cars still in existence.

1995 Dodge Avenger

Driver: Bruce Canepa

This car was one of the first Banjo Matthews Gen 3 IROC Camaros built, so it spent time as a Gen 3 Camaro, Dodge Daytona and a Dodge Avenger before being retired from IROC competition after the 1995 season. Many of the most iconic names in racing history drove this car, including George Follmer, Emerson Fittipaldi, Dale Earnhardt, Bobby Rahal, Jeff Gordon, Richard Petty, Mark Martin and various others. While this car spent most of its life as a Blue #2, the current livery pays tribute to the Orange Avenger Earnhardt drove at Darlington and Michigan to win the 1995 IROC championship over Martin by a mere four points.

2006 Pontiac Firebird

Driver: Rob Kauffman

For the 1996 season, IROC switched to the Pontiac Firebird. This Firebird was driven to victory lane by Tony Stewart in the third race of the 2006 IROC season under the lights on the Daytona International Speedway road course. This was the second IROC race win of 2006 for Tony Stewart and paved the way for him to win the final IROC series championship.

RCR Race Preview: EchoPark Speedway

Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series at EchoPark Speedway… In 167 NASCAR Cup Series starts at EchoPark Speedway, Richard Childress Racing has earned nine wins and three pole awards, including Kevin Harvick’s emotional victory in 2001. Dale Earnhardt won eight times at the Hampton, Ga., track under the RCR banner (1984-fall, 1986-fall, 1988-spring, 1989-fall, 1990-spring, 1995-fall, 1996-spring, 2000-spring). The Welcome, N.C., team has 31 top-five and 64 top-10 finishes at Atlanta and has led a total of 3,045 laps at the 1.54-mile oval.

RCR in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at EchoPark Speedway… RCR has recorded eight NASCAR Xfinity Series wins at the greater Atlanta facility, led by Austin Hill’s five victories (2022-fall, 2023-spring, swept both races in 2024, and won most recently in February 2025). Jeff Burton (2006 and 2007) and Kevin Harvick (2013) also secured victories at Atlanta with RCR. As an organization, RCR has piled up 19 top-five and 35 top-10 finishes over a span of 66 starts at the Peachtree State track.

NASCAR’s $1 Million Showdown: The 2025 In-Season Challenge… The NASCAR In-Season Challenge kicks off this weekend at EchoPark Speedway for the NASCAR Cup Series. The challenge is a new, bracket-style tournament. The 32 qualifying drivers are seeded into a single-elimination bracket. Kyle Busch and the No. 8 SENIX Tools Chevrolet at Echo Park Speedway… Saturday night’s 400-mile race will mark Kyle Busch’s 32nd career NASCAR Cup Series start at Echo Park Speedway. Busch has two NASCAR Cup Series wins at the 1.5-mile track, finding Victory Lane in March 2008 and September 2013. History Maker… Busch is the youngest winner in Cup Series history at Echo Park Speedway. His 2008 win at the track came at just 22 years, 10 months, and 7 days of age.

Remember When… Busch owns two wins at Echo Park Speedway in the Cup Series. His first win at the track was in 2008. Busch took the lead with 50 laps remaining in the race after Carl Edwards, trying for a third straight victory, retired early with a broken transmission. Is Echo Park Speedway as exciting for you behind the wheel as it is for the fans?

“Racing at Echo Park Speedway is intense, so I guess that would be exciting for us. The race certainly brings a lot of adrenaline and action. There’s something happening all the time so you’re trying to figure out your next move and seeing what lanes are moving, and what things are happening in order to get yourself further up front. It seems like there’s a lot of maneuvering in the middle of the pack from those ten spots between eighth and 18th, but at the same time it might seem like it’s dull up at the front. Although we’re all trying to get there, it just seems like it gets a little locked up because sometimes the track gets that one lane, that high lane moving in the bottom. It just doesn’t materialize.”

Jesse Love and the No. 2 Roland Chevrolet at EchoPark Speedway… Jesse Love has made three career NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at EchoPark Speedway, all coming behind the wheel of the No. 2 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet. The 20-year-old has qualified on the pole for each of the races and earned a best finish of sixth in the 2024 summer event. Love has completed 100% of laps competed at the Hampton, Georgia facility.

“I’m not sure, because I haven’t won there yet. I’ve seemed to dominate every time that I’ve gone there, but a huge part of being successful is having a really fast race car. The spring and fall races are two completely different races and not the same in the slightest. One is a speedway race and then the other is basically a high downforce, high drag intermediate race. I don’t think this race is going to be the same as last year’s fall race. We won’t be packed up tight, and we will probably be sliding around which will be super challenging. PRO STOCK STARS READY FOR GETTRX ALL-STAR CALLOUT AT SUMMIT RACING EQUIPMENT NHRA NATIONALS

NORWALK, Ohio (June 26, 2025) – At the midpoint of the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, the stars of the Pro Stock class are geared up for the GETTRX Pro Stock NHRA All-Star Callout, which takes place at this weekend’s Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park.

The popular specialty race will take place Saturday and will see eight standout drivers in the highly competitive class battling for a top prize of $40,000. Atop that list is reigning Pro Stock world champion Greg Anderson. From his qualifying performance dating back to last season, Anderson has earned the No. 1 seed in his HendrickCars.com/Summit Racing Equipment Chevrolet Camaro and will have his pick of the seven opponents.

Dallas Glenn, Anderson’s KB Titan Racing teammate, is the second seed while six-time champion Erica Enders is third. Matt Hartford, Aaron Stanfield, Jeg Coughlin, Eric Latino and Troy Coughlin Jr. make up the rest of the Callout field. Anderson gets the first selection, with Glenn getting the next pick if the champ doesn’t call out his teammate. The next highest-seed picks next until the first-round matchups are set. The driver with the quickest winning run in the first round also gets to select their semifinal opponent, as the GETTRX Pro Stock All-Star Callout promises to be something special on Saturday.

“If anybody could have asked me where would we like to have our GETTRX Pro Stock All-Star Callout, obviously I would have said Summit Motorsports Park,” said Anderson. “This racetrack is like home and it’s everything that the KB Titan Racing team has been about for the last 25 years. It’s Summit Racing Equipment’s backyard. They sponsor the race. They sponsor the track and now we have the GETTRX Callout on hand this weekend and it just makes for a tremendous weekend from top to bottom. It’s a great place to come and try to show off for your longtime sponsor, so it means the world to me to race here.”

In 2024, Antron Brown (Top Fuel), Bob Tasca III (Funny Car), Aaron Stanfield (Pro Stock), and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) all won at a race that will again be broadcast on FOX and FS1 in 2025, including eliminations coverage beginning at 2 p.m. ET on FOX on Sunday.

It is the 10th of 20 races during the 2025 NHRA season and the race in Norwalk is always a premier stop on the NHRA tour. The weekend includes two rounds of qualifying on Friday, including a must-see night session and fireworks, two rounds of qualifying – and the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge – on Saturday and eliminations on Sunday.

The first round of the GETTRX Pro Stock All-Star Callout takes place at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, with the semifinals at 1:20 p.m. and the finals at 3:50 p.m. The Callout will be broadcast at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday on FS1.

“It’s going to be a fantastic weekend. It will be jammed packed with action on Friday, Saturday and Sunday,” Anderson said. “A lot is going on and we’re looking forward to it. The higher the stakes for me, the more I enjoy the weekend. Sometimes I need a little extra push, and I certainly have it this weekend.”

After winning the Callout in 2024, Anderson hopes to become the first Pro Stock driver to win the specialty event twice. He has already had his eye on the competition and says he has his opponent picked for what will be a must-see first-round matchup on Saturday.

“I’ve definitely got my mind made up and I’ve had it made up long time ago,” Anderson said. “There’s no question who I’m going to call out and it’s going to be exciting. It’s going to be a great battle. There are eight great cars that can win it and there’s no sense trying to weed through what you would consider to be the softer of the competition. The gameplan the first round is all or nothing. Either I’m going to win or I don’t look like a fool but that’s okay with me.”

The KB Titan Racing camp has seen abundant success this season, with Anderson and Glenn collecting all 2025 race wins while their long-time rival Elite Motorsports have struggled during the early part of the season. These two Pro Stock juggernaut teams will undoubtably be ready for action with their sights set on the Callout and the race.

“I won it in Chicago last year that was that was a great day and had a blast with that,” Anderson said. “But for NHRA to move it here to Norwalk, to what I consider kind of my home turf with Summit Motorsports Park, I’m a lucky person and someone who is trying to make the most of it.”

Brown is after a repeat Top Fuel win in Norwalk, but it won’t be easy against a field that includes points leader and racing legend Tony Stewart, former champs Shawn Langdon, Steve Torrence, Doug Kalitta and Brittany Force, Justin Ashley and Clay Millican.

The Funny Car class once again is led by reigning world champion Austin Prock, who has three wins on the season. His John Force Racing teammate Jack Beckman is second, after earning two wins, while Phoenix winner Paul Lee is third. Others to watch will be 2024 Norwalk winner Tasca as well as former champions Ron Capps, Matt Hagan and J.R. Todd.

Two-time reigning Pro Stock Motorcycle champ Herrera took the win last year over his rival Matt Smith. Herrera continues to lead the field, while others to look for at Norwalk will be Richard Gadson, who won in Bristol, Angie Smith, Jianna Evaristo and Chase Van Sant.

Also on the track will be the standouts in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, NHRA Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown, NHRA Holley EFI Factory X and Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage NHRA Mountain Motor Pro Stock.

All weekend, fans will be invited to the Nitro Alley Stage, which is the main entertainment hub in the pits. The stage hosts Nitro School, meet and greets, autograph sessions and more. Norwalk race fans can enjoy the special pre-race ceremonies that introduce each driver and includes the fan favorite SealMaster Track Walk. Fans are also invited to congratulate the winners at the winner’s circle celebration on Sunday.

● Harrison Burton NASCAR Xfinity Series EchoPark Speedway Stats: Friday night’s Focused Health 250 will mark Burton’s fifth Xfinity Series start at the hybrid 1.5-mile superspeedway.

In his previous four Xfinity Series starts at Atlanta Motor Speedway, he has delivered two top-five and three top-10 finishes, including a Xfinity track-best of third in the 2021 edition of the Echo Park 250 driving for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Earlier this year, Burton, in his second start with AM Racing, delivered a 10th-place finish in the Bennett Transportation & Logistics 250 after starting 19th. The race marked back-to-back top-10 finishes for Burton in his first season driving for the family-owned race team.

● Pocono Raceway | Explore The Pocono Mountains 250 Race Recap: Following an international journey to Mexico City for the NASCAR Xfinity Series’ return to Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, Harrison Burton and the Danny Efland-led AM Racing team made the long haul to the Pocono Mountains for Saturday’s quick-hitting 100-lap dash at Pocono Raceway.

Optimism was high after Burton posted the fifth-fastest lap in practice aboard his No. 25 DEX Imaging Ford Mustang. However, a 16th-place qualifying effort forced the team to pivot their original strategy for the series’ lone visit to the Tricky Triangle.

A setback emerged during the pre-race warm-up when the team discovered an engine issue, prompting a last-minute scramble to install a backup motor. The unapproved adjustment relegated Burton to the rear of the field for the start, intensifying the team’s focus on maximizing opportunities throughout the event.

Despite aiming for stage points in the opening two stages, circumstances dictated a shift in focus to the final stage. Charging through the field, Burton positioned himself for what could have been his eighth top-10 finish of the season.

Unfortunately, his momentum was disrupted when a car bounced off the wall and into his path, resulting in damage that hampered the No. 25 team’s pace in the closing laps.

Still, Burton managed to fight to a 14th-place finish, salvaging a solid result from a day filled with adversity.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (June 26, 2025) – Just a matter of days removed from his much anticipated first career Cube 3 Architecture TA2 Series win, 14-year-old Tristan McKee and his fellow TeamSLR (Scott Lagasse Racing) drivers Barry Boes and Corey Day turn their attention to the iconic Road America circuit in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin for Sunday’s renewal of the annual Road America SpeedTour.

Last Sunday at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, McKee, the Chevrolet Motorsports development driver from Kannapolis, North Carolina, started second and led all 42 race laps in his No. 28 Spire/Gainbridge/SLR-M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro, crossing the finish line 2.088 seconds ahead of three-time series champion Rafa Matos. In just his eighth career TA2 outing, McKee became the second-youngest driver to win a Trans Am race at 14 years, 10 months and 19 days. Only Brent Crews, who won the June 2022 race at Road America at the age of 14 years, three months and four days, was younger.

The second half of the 12-event TA2 Series campaign begins with Sunday’s 25-lap, 75-minute race around the 4.048-mile, 14-turn Road America layout, and the latest driver standings show McKee leading all competitors, 24 points ahead of second-place Thomas Annunziata, after scoring his fourth consecutive podium finish with his Mid-Ohio win. His first career TA2 podium came in his fifth career start April 26 at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway, followed by back-to-back third-place finishes May 3 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca near Monterey, California, and May 24 at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut. He opened the season with a seventh-place finish Feb. 22 at Sebring (Fla.) International Raceway, followed by a fifth-place result March 23 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

Day returns to the No. 17 HendrickCars.com/SLR-M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro that he qualified on the pole last weekend at Mid-Ohio in just his third career TA2 Series outing. Despite never having seen the track before Friday’s opening test session, the 19-year-old from Clovis, California, laid down the fastest lap of the 24 entries for the race followed by McKee and Boes in the second and third positions. The trio kept up that torrid pace through the remaining on-track sessions and, in Saturday qualifying, Day led a TeamSLR sweep of the top three spots on the grid. Sunday was not as kind to Day, however, as a brief off-course excursion on the opening lap dropped him to 15th, from where he battled back into the top-10 in relatively short order, but then saw his bid come to an end with a suspension issue. This weekend marks the Hendrick Motorsports driver’s final tune-up before making his ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series road-course debut two weekends hence at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway. Day posted a solid qualifying effort of fourth in the rain-marred April 26 TA2 Series race at Sonoma.

Meanwhile Boes, the 54-year-old defending TA2 Pro-Am Challenge-class champion from Ooltewah, Tennessee, and driver of the No. 27 Accio Data/SLR-M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro, is coming off what he called the best race weekend of his career. His third-place qualifying effort was his best in seven seasons on the TA2 Series tour, eclipsing his sixth-place effort on the same Mid-Ohio circuit in June 2024. Boes ran second behind McKee for the first third of Sunday’s race before being overtaken by Matos on a restart, but he held his position in the top-three before an electrical issue late in the race sent him to pit lane. He resumed a lap down and finished 15th overall, seventh among the Pro-Am competitors.

Sunday’s Pro-Am winner was M1 Racecars driver Jared Odrick, the 37-year-old from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, who played seven seasons with the NFL’s Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars from 2010 through 2016. His second class win in three events behind the wheel of the No. 00 Black Underwear/M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro for Troy Benner Autosport springboarded him to one point behind leader Boes atop the Pro-Am standings. Odrick drove to his first Pro-Am victory at Road America a year ago this weekend.

Completing the M1 Racecars contingent is Mike Skeen, the 38-year-old from Durham, North Carolina, and driver of the No. 2 Franklin Road Apparel/Cube 3/Guthrie’s Garage/SLR-M1 Racecars entry that this weekend will pay a special tribute to the city of Palatka, Florida, which happens to be the hometown of TeamSLR co-owner Scott Lagasse Sr., situated some 30 miles south and west of the team’s headquarters in St. Augustine. “Visit Palatka” will appear on the rear quarter panels and rear end of Skeen’s car, celebrating the historic city, established in 1821, that is nicknamed the Gem of the St. Johns River and is known for its Old Florida charm and vast waterways.

“It’s certainly something special to see my hometown represented on the racetrack,” said Lagasse, who lives just across the St. Johns River from Palatka in Federal Point. “We just want to recognize all the family, friends and supporters who have helped shape my driving career and that of my son (Scott Lagasse Jr.), as well as our current efforts as a race team and chassis manufacturer. It would be incredible to see that car, with the “Visit Palatka” paint scheme, carry Mike Skeen to the top step of the podium on Sunday.”

Skeen qualified on the front row at his most recent outing Memorial Day weekend at Lime Rock. Best of his five outings this season was his first, when he qualified TeamSLR’s No. 48 Cube 3 Architecture/Guthrie’s Garage/Franklin Road Apparel/SLR-M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro on the pole in track-record time and drove it to a runner-up finish.

The TA2 Series portion of the weekend kicks off Friday with a pair of TA2 test sessions at 11:30 a.m. and 3:05 p.m. CDT. Official TA2 practice is set for 10:25 a.m. Saturday, followed by qualifying at 3:30 p.m. Sunday’s 25-lap, 75-minute race starts at 1:05 p.m. with live coverage provided by series broadcast partner Speed Sport 1, augmented by a live stream on the Trans Am channel on YouTube.

Riding along with TeamSLR drivers and their M1 Racecars once again this season is Nashville, Tennessee-based Franklin Road Apparel Company, which has been a longtime team supporter and serves as associate partner on all TeamSLR entries. Tristan McKee, Driver, No. 28 Spire Gainbridge/SLR-M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro:

You’ve had several days to digest the goings on at Mid-Ohio last weekend in getting your first TA2 win. What are your takeaways from all you and the team were able to accomplish there?

“I haven’t thought any differently about it than I would any other race weekend. It was obviously really cool and I’m glad to have finally been able to win after we’ve been running up front for most of the races, so it feels good to get that over with. Hopefully, we can go for more for the rest of the season. We just have to keep having consistent finishes like we’ve been doing and we’ll be fine when it comes down to the end of the year for the championship battle.”

What are the key ingredients that came together to enable you to get that win last weekend?

“Well, to begin with, Scott (Lagasse) and Scotty (Scott Lagasse Jr.) have figured something out about Mid-Ohio with these M1 Racecars, so we definitely were really good there. It’s definitely been our best track so far, maybe hard to beat that at another track. We obviously want to do that, but it’s going to be hard to do. All three of our cars were good there – Barry, Corey, and I, we were all really fast. It also comes back to Scott Speed and Josh Wise at the Chevy Tech Center with Corey and I, all the preparation we did with Scott in the office as far as pre-race stuff and working with the sims. That definitely helps a lot. We unloaded and we were really fast immediately. We were fastest from the first practice all through the weekend.”

Now you turn your attention to Road America, which is a drastically different track in a lot of ways than Mid-Ohio. What are your and the team’s expectations this weekend?

“We’ve done a lot of work in the sim and the things we did to get ready for Mid-Ohio, so we’re going to Road America with the same kind of plan. Hopefully, we can unload just as fast as we did at Mid-Ohio and be comfortable right away. It’s obviously a different track and a really long track, just everything about it is completely different, but I think we’ve prepared well. I think once we unload, we’ll be fine. We’ve just got to play it out and see how it goes when we get there. The key will be getting the most out of the car and keep an eye on the big picture. If we’re a third-place car, we’ve got to finish third and not fifth. We have to manage what we can do and run our own race, stay out of trouble and get all the points we can.”

You’re coming from a race weekend at Mid-Ohio that you called the best of your career to Road America, a completely different style of track. How are you approaching this weekend?

“You know, I’ve done well at Road America but I have not done fantastic at Road America. Where a track like Mid-Ohio caters to all of my strengths as a driver, Road America exposes my weaknesses. It requires a completely different driving style than Mid-Ohio does. It’s got some very high-speed corners that have always been a challenge for me, so when I look at a track that is really challenging for me, Road America is going to be at the top of the list for a tough track for me to get around fast. I’ve got to completely change how I drive and completely change what I ask out of the car. And I’ve got to do it in just a few days after being at the track that is perfectly suited to my driving style. So that’s what I’ve been working on this week – I’ve been getting on the simulator, and I’ve been rooting out all of the habits that work well at a track like Mid-Ohio and working on those habits that work well at a track like Road America.”

As you’ve continued to master that track over the years, do you find yourself wiping the slate clean and building the racecar driver you feel you have to be there from scratch?

“Yes. I’ve got to drive Road America differently from any other track that we drive. So I’ve got to reprogram myself, and that’s what I’ve been working on ever since I left Mid-Ohio – as I was flying back from Mid-Ohio, as I was driving back, I was mentally thinking about the new way that I need to drive for Road America. As soon as I got home, I got on the sim and I started working on driving the way that I need to drive for Road America.”

Do you study other drivers, especially in this case other drivers who tend to do well at Road America?

“Absolutely. It’s a really big, critical thing for me to do. I’ve had the good fortune to be coached by some good drivers and get to learn the different driving styles that are required at the different tracks, so I fall back on that learning. And any video that I can get my hands on of a fast driver, I’m going to be watching it and reviewing it and then trying to incorporate that into my practice.”

You’re back in the HendrickCars.com Camaro at Road America after your first TA2 Series pole-winning effort at Mid-Ohio last weekend. What’s your outlook for this weekend?

“I’m excited to race on back-to-back weekends, for sure. I’m hoping it’ll be beneficial. We were good last weekend with that style of track, and this is a different one, so we’ll have to see how it goes. But I’m excited to get to Road America. It looks really cool and definitely seems challenging. It was super cool to have got the pole at Mid-Ohio. I always thought I would win a race before I got a pole because I’m not usually a one-lap guy, I’m better when it comes to racing. It just shows how good these M1 Racecars are and how good of a job the team does that I could show up and lay down a pole lap. It was unfortunate the way the race went down, to be honest, but I made mistakes that I 100-percent learned from and, if I get that opportunity to start on pole again, I won’t make that mistake because now I have the situational awareness to know what to do and what not to do.”

What stands out to you about the Road America layout?

“It’s definitely way different than Mid-Ohio, and not in a bad way. I think it’s pretty cool. It’s got more elevation change, it’s got some long straightaways, just a lot more different characteristics than Mid-Ohio, so I’m excited. Like I said, it’s definitely going to be challenging with a lot of variety on that track with high-speed corners, also some really tight, slow stuff that’s technical. The whole point of me racing here is to learn and get the reps, so definitely what I’ll go and do this weekend.”

You’re making your stock car road-course debut in both the ARCA and NASCAR Xfinity Series races July 11 and 12, respectively, at Sonoma. Are you treating this weekend as a final tune-up for those races?

“Definitely, just the chance to continue getting reps is super important. I’m really glad I was able to get laps at Sonoma during Trans Am weekend (in April), and really glad I’m getting to do all this road racing, in general. Before this season, it was just a really foreign and unorthodox thing for me. So the reps that I’ve been able to get at it before going to the NASCAR stage has been nice. I’m curious how different those cars will be line-wise, and what other differences there will be. We’ll find out soon enough.”
