Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA targeting a strong result in São Paul

July 2nd, 2026 – Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA will look for a taste of last year’s success as the team heads to Brazil next week for the Rolex 6 Hours of São Paulo and the latest round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

2025 saw the team claim a historic win at the 4.409 km (2.677-mile), 15-turn Autódromo José Carlos Pace (Interlargos) circuit. With the sister car crossing the finish line in second place, it was the first 1-2 by a U.S. manufacturer in the LMP1/Hypercar class.

The No.38 car Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R will be driven by Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber and Sebastien Bourdais, whilst the No.12 car will be driven by Norman Nato and Will Stevens, as Alex Lynn continues his recovery from surgery.

The Rolex 6 Hours of São Paulo gets underway with two Free Practice sessions on Friday July 10th. A third Free Practice on Saturday will be followed by Qualifying and the 10-minute Hyperpole session. The Race is scheduled for 1130am local time on Sunday July 12th.

 What they’re saying

Keely Bosn, Cadillac Racing Programme Manager:

At last year’s 6 Hours of Sao Paulo, Cadillac secured a 1-2 in qualifying and its first ever win (and P2) in WEC. Describe this historic moment?

Winning our first WEC race in Brazil was a huge milestone for us. We put the #12 on pole and then went on to achieve Cadillac’s first-ever WEC victory with a 1-2 finish. It was incredibly special. It was a key moment for the programme and a strong validation of the hard work that had gone in across the team since our return to the series.

What did it mean to Cadillac and GM?

It meant a lot because it was about much more than one single result. It showed that Cadillac can compete with the best in the world and win on a global stage, and that matters for both Cadillac and GM. Programmes like WEC and Le Mans build visibility and credibility for the brand, while also giving us a real-world test bed for performance, durability, and technology that carries back into our production vehicles.

Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA finished just off the podium in Le Mans this year. What are the aims and expectations for this year’s race in São Paulo?

The aim is always to put ourselves in a position to fight and ultimately compete for the win. We know we have the right ingredients in the car this year with our driver lineup, partnering with JOTA, and after the pace we’ve already shown this season at Le Mans, the focus is now on executing a clean race at São Paulo and turning that potential into another winning result.

Le Mans is incredibly competitive and unpredictable. Although we fell just short of the podium, Cadillac led quite a lot of the race and showed excellent pace.

No. 12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R:

Norman Nato: “Brazil is obviously a special place for us. We had our first win with Cadillac there last year and got Pole and a 1-2 finish. I have great memories of winning at such an iconic circuit – an amazing crowd, a podium celebration at sunset with all the fans and the team around. I hope we can reproduce the same level of performance this year, and keep the good momentum after a very strong fight for the win at Le Mans.”

Will Stevens: “I’m looking forward to getting back to São Paulo, especially coming off Le Mans where we showed strong pace throughout. We had a great win in São Paulo last year, it’s a track we were pretty dominant on, so hopefully we can repeat that same success this time around. There’s a lot of history there and it’s great fun to drive, so I can’t wait to be back.”

No. 38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R

Jack Aitken: “I’ve been to São Paulo as a reserve in F1, but I’ve never actually driven the track, so I’m looking forward to finally getting to do it! It helps that the Cadillacs were very competitive here last year and we will be carrying some good momentum from our strong showing at Le Mans.”

Earl Bamber: “I’m looking forward to getting back racing in Brazil. We had a lot of pace and potential in Le Mans, and the Cadillacs have been performing very well all season, so we were very disappointed in the end result. We’ll be heading to São Paulo looking for a bit of redemption!

Sebastien Bourdais: “We are heading to the location of the best race weekend for the team last year, with a 1-2 finish off the back of a Pole position. We are all excited to return to see if we can get another strong result. It’s a tricky track to race. Tyre deg is pretty significant there, and the high altitude means the car slides more than at other circuits due to there being less downforce. So it’s always a bit of a challenge to get the right window, to get the tyres in the right place, but we definitely managed it last year. We have had a competitive package again this year, with strong pace at all races. The results just haven’t gone our way yet.”

Fresh Off Top-Five ARCA Finish, Jason Kitzmiller Excited to Arrive at Chicagoland Speedway

JOLIET, Ill.: Fresh off his first top-five finish of the 2026 season at Elko (Minn.) Speedway last weekend, ARCA Menards Series veteran Jason Kitzmiller carries valuable momentum into Friday night’s Ashley Furniture 150 at Chicagoland (Ill.) Speedway, as the series begins the second half of its schedule.

By every measure, Elko was one of Kitzmiller’s strongest ARCA Menards Series performances to date.

Competing against powerhouse organizations including Joe Gibbs Racing, Nitro Motorsports and Pinnacle Racing Group, Kitzmiller posted the fastest lap in practice before qualifying his No. 97 A.L.L. Construction Racing — CR7 Motorsports Chevrolet eighth for the 250-lap feature.

Once the green flag waved, Kitzmiller quickly established himself as a contender. He spent the entire race inside the top 10, and adjustments made by crew chief and 10-time ARCA Menards Series champion Frank Kimmel during the race transformed an already solid Chevrolet into one capable of charging toward the front of the field.

With renewed speed over the closing laps, Kitzmiller reeled in the leaders and mounted a late charge for fourth before ultimately crossing the finish line fifth. The result marked his first top-five finish of the season, sixth top-10 of the year and another significant step forward for the A.L.L. Construction Racing — CR7 Motorsports team.

“Elko gave us exactly what we needed,” added Kitzmiller. “We’ve had speed throughout the season, but we finally put together the kind of complete race we’ve been chasing. It shows what this team is capable of when everything comes together.

“We’re entering the second half of the season with a lot of confidence, but we also know there’s still work to do. Chicagoland is another opportunity to keep the momentum rolling, score another strong finish and continue climbing the championship standings.”

The ARCA Menards Series joins the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series for an Independence Day holiday weekend at Chicagoland Speedway, marking the NASCAR national series’ long-awaited return to the Joliet, Ill., facility for the first time since 2019.

While the 1.5-mile speedway is familiar to many competitors, it will present a new challenge for Kitzmiller, who is set to make his first career ARCA start at Chicagoland Speedway.

The Petersburg, West Virginia, driver embraces the opportunity to add another track to his extensive racing résumé and is eager to continue the momentum his team has built over the past several weeks.

“Any time you get the opportunity to race at a place you’ve never been before, it’s exciting,” said Kitzmiller.

“There will definitely be a learning curve, but that’s part of what makes this sport so rewarding. We’ll rely on our notes from similar intermediate tracks, work through practice and make the most of every lap.

“The confidence we gained at Elko carries over into this weekend. This team has been getting better every race, and I think we’re starting to see the results reflect the effort everyone has been putting in.

“Frank Kimmel (crew chief) and the entire A.L.L. Construction Racing — CR7 Motorsports team have given me fast race cars, and now it’s about continuing to execute. If we can unload with good speed, make smart adjustments and stay out of trouble, I think we can put ourselves in position for another strong finish.”

While Chicagoland Speedway represents unfamiliar territory for Kitzmiller, it also presents an opportunity. With confidence on the rise following his breakthrough top-five finish at Elko and the championship battle entering its second half, another solid performance could provide the momentum needed to continue climbing the ARCA Menards Series standings.

“We’ve got some momentum on our side, but nobody on this team is ready to celebrate,” added Kitzmiller.

“The goal is still the same. We want to keep putting ourselves in contention every week. We know we’re still within striking distance in the championship, and as long as there’s a chance, we’re going to keep fighting until the final checkered flag of the season.

“Chicagoland is new for me, but every race is another opportunity to learn, score points and keep building on what we’ve started. This team believes in each other, and I think our best races are still ahead of us.”

For the second straight year, Kitzmiller and company welcome Carter Machinery, promoting the Caterpillar® (Cat®) brand as the primary partner aboard the No. 97 Chevrolet for Friday night’s 100-lap battle at Chicagoland Speedway.

Carter Machinery’s humble beginnings date back to 1928, serving customers throughout Virginia and southeastern West Virginia. As customer needs evolved, the company expanded its offerings by adding new products, services, and locations, with significant growth following its 2020 acquisition of Alban Tractor Company.

Today, Carter Machinery’s footprint spans the Mid-Atlantic, with more than 30 locations across Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and the District of Columbia. The company sells, rents, and supports the full line of Cat® equipment, engines, and electric power generation systems, backed by strong parts availability, a diverse rental fleet, and an expert service team committed to customer success.

Continued investment in people, infrastructure, technology, and tooling has positioned Carter Machinery as one of Caterpillar’s premier dealers in North America and around the globe.

“We’re excited to welcome Carter Machinery and the Cat® brand back on board for Chicagoland Speedway,” said Kitzmiller. “There’s something special about racing on Independence Day weekend, especially at a venue just outside one of America’s great cities.

“It’s a fitting stage for a company like Carter Machinery and the Cat® brand, whose equipment helps build the roads, bridges, infrastructure and communities that keep our country moving forward every day.

“They’ve been tremendous partners for our program and share the same values of hard work, reliability and performance that our race team strives to demonstrate every time we hit the racetrack.

“We’re proud to represent Carter Machinery and Cat® on the No. 97 Chevrolet during such a patriotic race weekend and look forward to putting together another strong performance for everyone who supports our program.”

In addition to Carter Machinery, A.L.L. Construction Inc., Grant County Mulch, A&J Excavating, Cobra Mining, Champion Power Equipment and Volt Battery Technology will all serve as associate marketing partners for his 58th career ARCA Menards Series start.

Entering Chicagoland, Kitzmiller, 52, sits fourth in the ARCA Menards Series championship standings, 68 points behind championship leader Jake Bollman with 10 races remaining.

The A.L.L. Construction Racing — CR7 Motorsports team also holds a respectable ninth place in the championship owner standings.

Since 2020, Kitzmiller has earned three top-five and 28 top-10 finishes in 57 ARCA Menards Series starts, including a career-best third-place effort at Daytona International Speedway in February 2025.

The Ashley Furniture 150 (100 laps | 150 miles) is the 11th of 20 races on the 2026 ARCA Menards Series schedule. Practice begins Friday, July 3, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:20 p.m., while Sioux Chief PowerPEX Pole Qualifying is slated to begin shortly thereafter at 2:35 p.m. The race is scheduled to take the green flag shortly after 7:00 p.m. CT (8:00 p.m. ET). The continuation of the 74th season of ARCA competition will be televised live on FOX Sports 1 (FS1). ARCARacing.com will also stream live timing and scoring throughout the entire day’s festivities. All times are local (CT).

Danner Delivers Sweet Redemption With BC39 Victory

INDIANAPOLIS (Wednesday, July 1, 2026) – Briggs Danner provided redemption for himself and his team July 1 with a drive to victory in the BC39 Presented by Avanti Windows & Doors.

Danner, from Allentown, Pennsylvania, earned his first career USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship victory at The Dirt Track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in one of the most prestigious short-track races in the country. He earned $20,039 for the victory in the No. 40x Chase McDermand Racing car in the 39-lap race, which continues to honor late USAC champion and three-time Indianapolis 500 starter Bryan Clauson.

“Between last night and tonight, we were good every time we hit the track,” Danner said. “There’s no feeling like this right now. I don’t even know what to say right now.”

Kevin Thomas Jr., the winner of the 30-lap Stoops Star Spangled Showdown Tuesday at IMS, finished second in the No. 14 4 Kings Racing entry. Jacob Denney was third in the No. 67 Keith Kunz-Curb-Agajanian Motorsports car.

Two-time reigning BC39 winner Cannon McIntosh fell short in his bid for a three-peat, finishing fourth in the No. 71K Keith Kunz-Curb-Agajanian Motorsports entry. Kale Drake rounded out the top five in the No. 4 RMS Racing machine.

The victory erased a tough night for Danner and the McDermand team Tuesday in the 30-lap feature. Danner was hit from behind by teammate Drake Edwards on Lap 6 and struggled to finish 13th, also hurt by a deflating tire late in that race.

Edwards went on to win the race for the McDermand team but was disqualified after a technical violation was discovered in his engine in post-race inspection. Thomas, who crossed the line in second, was awarded the victory.

“We were really good last night,” Danner said. “There’s no better place to be in Victory Lane. This crowd, this track inside IMS, there’s nothing like this. This is really cool, and it will take a little bit to set in.”

Said team owner Chase McDermand about the rebound from the disqualification: “We had our little moment when we were all kind of just moping around. Got everybody together in the lounge of the trailer, building everybody right back up. After that point, we all knew we had the cars to do it.”

Pole sitter Danner lost the lead to Drake immediately at the drop of the green flag in the BC39 feature. Danner immediately decided to run a higher line on the dirt oval, a strategy he maintained for nearly the entire race.

Danner made a rare low move to dip under Drake for the lead exiting Turn 4 on Lap 9 before a three-car tangle unfurled the first caution flag of the night on Lap 10.

On the restart, McIntosh passed Drake for second place and loomed behind Danner. Then Danner and McIntosh produced 10 consecutive laps of magic, swapping the lead nearly every trip around the oval. The scintillating duel also included Danner keeping the lead despite bouncing off the Turn 4 wall on Lap 16, as repeated sliding through Turn 4 created a banked cushion of dirt that caught some drivers off guard.

“It’s so tough, and it’s so slick, too,” Danner said of the changing conditions in Turn 4. “When it’s fluffy like that, it just kind of catches you instead of letting you drive off of it or just bounce off of it.”

The fight for the lead became a three-car joust when Thomas, who faithfully stuck to the low line for the entire feature, passed both Danner and McIntosh for the lead on Lap 24.

But Danner regained the lead on the next lap running the high line and began to pull away by a few car lengths. The final caution period on Lap 30 bunched the field, but Danner rocketed away on the final restart.

“Thankfully, I didn’t have a rearview mirror because I’m sure it was getting pretty busy, but I just had to try to protect,” Danner said.

About the only adjustment Danner made in the closing laps was to drop his line slightly lower to avoid the bumps and the berm forming in Turn 4, creating a smooth ride to Victory Lane.

USAC action will return to The Dirt Track at IMS on Thursday, July 23 when Brickyard Weekend kicks off with an Indiana Sprint Week event for the AMSOIL National Sprint Car Championship. Tickets are available at IMS.com.

How LED Light Up Emblems Are Changing the Way We Customize Cars

People usually show their personality by modifying their cars. However, people are more likely to choose aftermarket products, which is really different from a decade ago. In the past, many owners were crazy about adding loud exhausts and changing body kits. But nowadays, more people choose to upgrade in quieter ways. Illuminated emblems are one of them. The emblem upgrade is small but really eye-catching. It is one of those changes that is outstanding without shouting for attention. Therefore, these changes are becoming more and more popular.

The Rise of Subtle Customization

There is an obvious change in automotive culture. Many people once preferred horsepower numbers and aggressive styles for their cars. But now they are choosing special upgrades that are personal and keep vehicles’ character at the same time. A light-up emblem is actually one of the most suitable choices. Each car usually has an original badge that cannot light up. By replacing it with the light-up emblem, you can see a clear effect of an illuminated badge day and night.

Many people are attracted by these upgrades because of the small change to cars. Unlike wraps or aftermarket body panels, you will not change the car shape or void the warranty by adding an illuminated badge. People will find it a change that really wins your heart rather than just catching your eye. Many drivers agree on this idea. Firstly, they want their vehicles to stand out in parking lots and at night-time parties. At the same, they don’t wants vehicles which looks like show cars and are not suitable for daily use.

Why Audi and VW Owners Are Leading the Trend

Most recognizable badges in the industry are produced by German automakers. So they are selected as ideal candidates for this kind of upgrade. The Audi logo has four interlocking rings, while the VW logo has an iconic roundel. Both of them are very special. If owners can light the badges up, they can not only receive an outstanding visual effect, but also improve brand identity in a way that feels intentional rather than gimmicky.

For Audi owners who are looking for eye-catching light up emblems, there are many kinds of choices designed specially for this purpose. The Audi light up emblem is one of the options. The emblems are usually plug-and-play designs. It means that people can replace the factory badge perfectly without any modification. People can see an even, glare-free glow from the rings thanks to the LED diffusion technology. Some early LED badges usually look cheap because of uneven lighting or excessive brightness. The newest emblems can avoid the problem.

Volkswagen drivers gradually follow the trend. This is normal because the VW emblem has a clean, circular design. This design can fit well with back lighting and create a good visual effect. People can find different VW light up emblems for a wide range of VW models, such as GTI, Golf and Atlas SUV. After that, they can replace their vehicle’s front and rear badges with the least effort. This is indeed a simple upgrade.

What to Look for Before Buying

People should take care that not all illuminated emblems are of high quality. In fact, there are many low-quality products in today’s market. They may fade, flicker, or fail after months of use. You can refer to some factors to separate the good ones from the disappointing ones.

First, the fitment is very important. If you choose a badge that is different in size or mounting depth from the original one, it may sit unevenly or fail to seal properly against the elements. Then it will cause moisture accumulation, which can short out the LEDs. Reputable sellers design their products to match factory sizes perfectly. Therefore, you need to check the compatibility according to your car model and year before buying.

Second, the wiring and power source are as important as the badge itself. If you buy some high-quality emblems, you can connect them to existing parking light or daytime running light circuits. It means that the emblem will light up as soon as you turn on the vehicle’s lights. Also, the installation becomes easy because you don’t need extra switches. What’s more, you will find the installation effect clean and integrated rather than like an aftermarket change.

Third, it is important for you to choose emblems that are durable and withstand all weather conditions. Front emblems should always bear rain, road grime, and UV exposure. So you should buy emblems with IP-rated waterproof and UV-resistant housings. Some badges may look great at first but become yellow within a season. Under these conditions, the emblems are definitely not worth buying.

Installation: Easier Than It Looks

One of the biggest misunderstandings about light up emblems is that they require professional installation. In fact, most people with basic skills can finish the installation by themselves. They just need a few hand tools and some patience. It takes them about 30 to 60 minutes to install an emblem in general. Firstly, you can take off the factory emblem with plastic trim tools. Secondly, you can connect the new illuminated badge to the correct harness. Lastly, you need to clip the assembly back into its original place.

A Small Upgrade With a Big Impact

Why are illuminated emblems so attractive? One reason is the visual effect. What’s more, drivers can make their cars stand out in millions of nearly similar vehicles. You may be an Audi owner who wants the emblem to shine against the night sky or a VW driver who wants to add the roundel a nighttime presence. No matter who you are, you will need the light up emblems to make your cars special at the most reasonable cost.

As the aftermarket continues to innovate, illuminated badges could become a common upgrade, like tinted windows or aftermarket wheels. In fact, sometimes the smallest details can make the biggest difference.

Why Independent Dealerships Continue to Win Over UK Car Buyers

The UK automotive market has changed dramatically over the last decade. Buyers now have access to more information than ever before, with online marketplaces, digital finance applications and vehicle comparison tools making it easier to research a purchase before stepping onto a forecourt.

Despite this digital transformation, one thing hasn’t changed: people still value trust, quality and expert advice when buying a used car.

That’s one of the reasons independent dealerships continue to play such an important role in the automotive industry. By combining knowledgeable staff with carefully selected vehicle stock and personalized customer service, they offer an experience that many buyers still prefer over larger dealer groups.

For motorists looking for their next vehicle, choosing the right dealership is often just as important as choosing the right car.

Buyers Want More Than Just a Good Price

While affordability remains a key consideration, today’s buyers are looking at the complete ownership experience.

They want reassurance that the vehicle has been prepared properly, clear information about its history and confidence that support will still be available after they drive away.

Independent dealerships often excel in these areas because their reputation relies heavily on customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Many also offer warranties, finance solutions, part exchange services and comprehensive vehicle inspections, helping customers buy with greater confidence.

Quality Used Cars Are in High Demand

The demand for used vehicles remains strong across the UK.

Long waiting times for some new vehicles, combined with rising costs, have encouraged many motorists to explore the used market instead.

Modern used cars now offer many of the features buyers expect, including advanced safety technology, smartphone connectivity, driver assistance systems and impressive fuel efficiency.

For drivers searching for cars for sale in Essex, this means there is an excellent choice of quality used vehicles available across a wide range of budgets. Whether you’re looking for a practical family SUV, an economical hatchback or a premium saloon, buying from a reputable dealership provides peace of mind alongside a greater choice of vehicles.

As dealerships continue investing in digital showroom technology, buyers can now browse detailed vehicle photographs, specifications and finance options online before arranging a viewing.

Technology Has Improved the Buying Journey

Digital technology has transformed the way people purchase vehicles.

Rather than spending weekends visiting multiple forecourts, customers can now compare models, check vehicle specifications, calculate finance payments and even reserve a vehicle online.

Many dealerships also provide video walkarounds, allowing buyers to inspect vehicles remotely before making the journey to view them in person.

This level of transparency gives customers greater confidence and allows dealerships to build trust before a conversation has even taken place.

For buyers travelling longer distances, these digital tools make purchasing from independent dealerships easier than ever before.

Why Local Knowledge Still Matters

Although the internet allows buyers to search nationwide, local expertise continues to be invaluable.

Independent dealerships often understand the preferences of customers in their area and carefully select stock that reflects local demand.

Experienced sales teams can also offer practical advice based on years of working within the automotive industry, helping customers choose vehicles that suit their lifestyle, budget and driving habits.

This personalised approach is something many buyers continue to value, particularly when making one of the largest purchases they’ll make outside of buying a home.

Reputation Is More Important Than Ever

Before visiting a dealership, many customers now spend time reading online reviews and researching previous customer experiences.

A strong reputation has become one of the biggest competitive advantages for independent retailers.

Positive reviews demonstrate consistency, quality customer service and reliable aftersales support, all of which help buyers make informed decisions.

This emphasis on reputation encourages dealerships to maintain high preparation standards while continually improving the customer experience.

Finding the Right Dealership

The right dealership doesn’t simply sell vehicles; it helps customers make confident decisions.

Knowledgeable staff should be able to explain vehicle features, finance options, servicing requirements and ownership costs without applying unnecessary pressure.

For buyers researching car dealers in Huddersfield, choosing a dealership with a proven reputation, diverse vehicle selection and transparent approach can make the entire buying journey far more enjoyable.

When customers feel informed rather than pressured, they are much more likely to leave satisfied and recommend the dealership to others.

Looking Ahead

The used car market continues to evolve as technology improves and customer expectations change.

Online research, digital finance applications and virtual showroom experiences have made buying a vehicle more convenient than ever before, but they haven’t replaced the importance of trust and expertise.

Independent dealerships continue to succeed because they combine modern technology with personal service, offering customers the confidence they need when making an important purchase.

As the automotive industry continues to develop, businesses that prioritise transparency, quality and customer experience will remain well positioned to meet the needs of modern motorists, proving that great service never goes out of style.

Why Buying the Right Used Car Is About More Than Just Performance

For many automotive enthusiasts, performance is often the first thing that comes to mind when choosing a car. Horsepower figures, acceleration times and handling characteristics dominate conversations, while manufacturers continue to compete to produce faster and more capable vehicles.

However, when it comes to buying a used car, outright performance is only one part of the equation.

Reliability, build quality, servicing history and long-term ownership costs all play a significant role in determining whether a vehicle will continue to deliver an enjoyable driving experience long after it leaves the showroom.

As the used car market continues to grow, buyers are becoming increasingly informed and are placing greater value on vehicles that offer a balance between driving enjoyment and everyday practicality.

The Used Car Market Has Never Been Stronger

Over recent years, demand for quality used vehicles has remained consistently high.

Many motorists have discovered that modern used cars offer exceptional value, providing advanced technology, impressive safety features and refined driving characteristics without the premium price associated with buying new.

Manufacturers are also building vehicles to higher standards than ever before, meaning well-maintained used cars are capable of delivering many years of dependable motoring.

For enthusiasts, this creates opportunities to own vehicles that may have previously been beyond their budget when new.

Engineering That Stands the Test of Time

One of the reasons certain manufacturers develop loyal followings is the quality of their engineering.

A well-designed vehicle should inspire confidence every time it’s driven, whether tackling winding country roads or covering hundreds of motorway miles.

Strong chassis design, responsive steering, efficient engines and refined suspension systems all contribute to an enjoyable ownership experience.

These qualities don’t disappear simply because a vehicle changes owner.

Providing routine servicing has been carried out and maintenance records are available, many used vehicles continue to perform exceptionally well long after leaving the factory.

Performance Means More Than Speed

Automotive enthusiasts understand that performance isn’t simply measured by top speed.

A truly rewarding car delivers confidence behind the wheel, predictable handling and the ability to perform comfortably in a wide variety of driving conditions.

Modern vehicles increasingly combine responsive performance with fuel efficiency, driver assistance systems and everyday comfort.

This means buyers no longer need to compromise between enjoying their car and using it as reliable daily transport.

The best vehicles are often those that strike a balance between excitement and practicality.

Why Vehicle History Matters

Before purchasing any used vehicle, taking time to review its history is essential.

A comprehensive service record demonstrates that previous owners have maintained the vehicle correctly and addressed routine maintenance at the appropriate intervals.

Buyers should also consider:

  • Previous ownership
  • MOT history
  • Mileage consistency
  • Tyre condition
  • Brake wear
  • Interior and exterior condition
  • Warranty availability

These factors often provide a much clearer picture of a vehicle’s quality than mileage alone.

Choosing a reputable dealership also offers additional reassurance, as many retailers carry out comprehensive inspections before offering vehicles for sale.

Choosing the Right Dealership

Buying from an established dealership can provide valuable peace of mind.

Professional retailers typically prepare vehicles to a high standard, carry out safety inspections and offer warranties that provide additional protection after purchase.

Knowledgeable staff are also able to explain vehicle specifications, ownership costs and finance options while helping customers compare different models objectively.

For motorists researching used cars in Leicester, choosing a dealership with an extensive selection of quality vehicles allows buyers to compare makes, models and specifications in one location, making it easier to find a car that suits both their driving style and budget.

This combination of choice, transparency and expert guidance helps buyers make more informed decisions while reducing uncertainty throughout the purchasing process.

Technology Has Improved the Buying Experience

Today’s used car buyers have access to far more information than previous generations.

Online vehicle listings now include high-resolution photography, detailed specifications, finance calculators and virtual walkaround videos, allowing customers to complete much of their research before visiting a dealership.

Vehicle history checks and customer reviews also provide additional confidence throughout the buying journey.

Rather than replacing dealerships, technology has enhanced the overall customer experience by making it easier to compare vehicles and understand ownership costs before making a commitment.

Looking Ahead

The used car market continues to evolve as manufacturers produce increasingly capable, reliable and technologically advanced vehicles.

For buyers, this creates more opportunities than ever before to own vehicles that deliver excellent performance, strong reliability and long-term value.

While impressive power figures and striking styling will always attract attention, the best ownership experiences are often built on careful research, quality engineering and buying from a trusted dealership.

Whether you’re searching for your first performance car, upgrading the family vehicle or simply looking for dependable everyday transport, taking the time to choose the right used car can make every journey more enjoyable for years to come.

TPC Racing and Scott Schmidt Fight to The Finish in IMSA Lamborghini Super Trofeo at The Glen

Schmidt Drives the No. 38 TPC Racing Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 to Eighth in the LB Cup Class in Saturday’s Hot and Hectic Final Race

WATKINS GLEN, New York (July 1, 2026) – TPC Racing and team driver Scott Schmidt persevered and improved to the end in a hot and hectic IMSA Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America doubleheader Friday and Saturday at Watkins Glen in the No. 38 TPC Racing Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2.

Once again progressing throughout the weekend, TPC Racing and Schmidt shook off Friday’s challenging race – that was followed by a clutch change in the No. 38 that evening – to improve to a weekend-best eighth-place LB Cup class finish in Saturday’s final 50-minute sprint of the weekend.

Schmidt was making just his second weekend of Lamborghini Super Trofeo race starts since the 2022 season, which included his first career Lamborghini Super Trofeo victory in the LB Cup class at The Glen. He came back to the series after the lengthy layoff this past March at Sebring where he capped a successful return with a fourth-place LB Cup finish in that weekend’s final round.

With a competitive and larger field of LB Cup entries fronting up for the always popular weekend at The Glen, TPC Racing and Schmidt took on a tougher group of LB Cup competitors and equally challenging hot temperatures and in-race conditions and circumstances.

The biggest challenge was clean and clear green-flag running time as rain plagued Thursday’s opening practice sessions and numerous on-track contact incidents everyday slowed the action. Even Saturday’s final sprint was stopped by a time-stealing red flag period that was uncharacteristically caused by a heavy accident between the leading Pro class competitors.

Staying focused despite the 20-minute delay, Schmidt made the most of what little green running time he had to improve three positions for Saturday’s top finish.

The Glen races also marked TPC Racing’s first season of multiple Super Trofeo weekends since the 2024 season. That racing year was highlighted by a heads-up and well-timed victory at Watkins Glen International (WGI) in June, which was even noted in the weekend’s race broadcasts. The TPC Racing entry swept The Glen Pro-Am podium – including some spot-on timing while taking the checkered flag under caution – to secure the class win in the weekend’s opening race. The series has since put a rule in place preventing similar tactics.

Next up for TPC Racing is an August 14 – 16 race weekend at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin where the team’s Porsche Sprint Challenge and Mustang Cup USA programs will both be competing.

Harris Levitas, TPC Racing Director of Race Operations: “A typically hot and humid summer weekend at Watkins Glen and both Scott and the TPC Racing team got the most out of the No. 38 Lamborghini Super Trofeo. The guys once again just did an amazing job on the setup and gave Scott a great car right off the trailer. We had our challenges that we overcame as always, but a major one was not having a lot of clean and green track time to give Scott a real chance to continue to develop and get the most out of the TPC Racing Lamborghini. He and the team still maximized every second of on-track time when we had the chance, it is always great to leave a race weekend knowing you and the team were at its best at the peak of the weekend and when it counts the most.”

Parker Kligerman joins Spire Motorsports for Truck campaign at Lime Rock Park

Parker Kligerman will be piloting the No. 77 Delaware Life Chevrolet Silverado RST entry for Spire Motorsports in the upcoming NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series’ LiUNA 150 event at Lime Rock Park on July 11.

The 35-year-old Kligerman from Westport, Connecticut, has made three Truck Series starts this season, two with Kaulig Racing (Texas Motor Speedway in May and Michigan International Speedway in June) and one with Henderson Motorsports (San Diego’s Naval Base Coronado in June), the latter of which marks his latest start. Between his trio of starts, he finished as high as 11th place at Texas.

Kligerman, who holds a minority ownership stake in Lime Rock Park, made his first Truck career start at Texas in November 2010. Since then, he has made a total of 128 starts in the series and has accumulated a trio of victories: two at Talladega Superspeedway (2012 & 2017) and one at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (2022). He has also recorded two poles, 23 top-five results, 53 top-10 results, 350 laps led, and an average-finishing result of 14.9 between his starts, with his best points result being fifth place in 2012. During the 2025 opener at Daytona International Speedway, Kligerman piloted the No. 75 Henderson Motorsports Chevrolet entry to the victory, but was disqualified due to his entry failing the post-race technical inspection.

In addition to his Truck success, Kligerman has made 122 starts in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series division and 30 in the Cup Series division. During the O’Reilly event at Daytona International Speedway in mid-August, the Connecticut native relieved Connor Zilisch in the early stages and proceeded to win the event. Despite winning the event, Zilisch was credited with the overall victory due to starting the event.

The 2026 season is Spire Motorsports’ fifth consecutive season of competing in the Truck Series division and its third consecutive year of fielding the No. 77 Chevrolet entry on a full-time basis. After debuting the entry for the 2023 season-finale event at Phoenix Raceway, the entry was first piloted by full-time competitor Chase Purdy in 2024. During the 2025 campaign, the entry was piloted by Andres Perez De Lara for the first 17 events before Corey LaJoie drove it for the remaining eight on the schedule.

This season, the No. 77 entry has been piloted by five competitors across 13 scheduled events: Carson Hocevar, James Hinchcliffe, Connor Zilisch, Jesse Love and Justin Marks. Currently, Hocevar has made the most starts in the entry, with nine, and has piloted the entry to Victory Lane at Texas in early May. The entry is ranked in ninth place in the 2026 owner’s standings and has accumulated six top-10 results as Spire continues its pursuit of the owner’s championship.

The 2026 LiUNA 150 at Lime Rock Park is scheduled to occur on July 11 at 1 p.m. ET on FS1, NASCAR Racing Network and SiriusXM.
