Winner of 93 Cup races. He probably was the most automatic inductee into the Hall of Fame since Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt.
We are closing in fast on one of the biggest days in the motorsport world. Formula 1 will run the historic Monaco Grand Prix Sunday followed by the 97th Indianapolis 500 and will conclude with the longest race in NASCAR, the Coke 600.
Dave Marcis was one of the last of a dying breed. He chose to walk his own path as an independent owner/driver with little or no factory support. The life he led was not an easy one but Marcis was never afraid of a little hard work.
