Edwards to Auction-Off Nashville ‘Guitar’ Trophy in Benefit for Family of Jonathan Bunting   CONCORD, N.C. (April 28, 2011) – Roush Fenway’s Carl Edwards has accumulated quite a few trophies since joining the NASCAR circuit, but he will have a special use for the unique Sam Bass-painted Gibson guitar trophy he won with his dominating performance last weekend in Nashville.   Edwards is auctioning off the famous trophy, along with a one of a kind Sam Bass sketch from victory lane, with the funds raised going to benefit the family of Roush Fenway employee Jonathan Bunting, who passed away last week in an automobile accident.   “All of us at Roush Fenway felt that our performance in that race was a good way to honor Jonathan and the work he did for the company,” said Edwards.   “He was a hard working young man with a young family and all of us together are going to auction-off that guitar and we are going to use the money we raise to help out his family; that includes his wife and two young children. Sam Bass jumped on board immediately and agreed to help us promote this thing and he’s even doing a one of a kind sketch of us with the trophy in victory lane that we’ll include in the auction.   “Nothing we do can bring back Jonathan, but we want his family to know that we are thinking of them and that we want to help – if even in a small way – during this difficult time.”   The guitar is available for bidding through the NASCAR Foundation on http://bit.ly/kuBeTB. One hundred percent of the winning bid will go to benefit the Bunting family.  Bidding will close on Sunday, May 8 at 11pm ET.
