Realtree ‘In The Hunt’ at Charlotte as Co-Primary Sponsor on No. 29 Chevrolet in Sprint All-Star Race

Realtree® ‘In The Hunt’ at Charlotte as Co-Primary Sponsor on No. 29 Chevrolet in Sprint All-Star Race

COLUMBUS, Ga. (May 19, 2010) – Continuing a relationship that dates back to 1997, Realtree®, the creator and marketer of the world’s most versatile camo patterns, will serve as the co-primary sponsor of Richard Childress Racing’s (RCR) No. 29 Chevrolet team with driver Kevin Harvick for the May 21 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS).

Although not a stranger to having primary prominence on the No. 29 RCR entry, Saturday night’s exciting race will mark the first appearance for Realtree in the NASCAR star-studded Sprint Cup All-Star event with Harvick, who captured the checkered flag and the $1 million prize in 2007.

The No. 29 Budweiser-Realtree Chevrolet will feature Realtree on the hood and trunk with camo trim highlighting the body panels of the now-familiar black Budweiser theme.

With no points on the line, the 100 lap race, broken into four segments, gives fans an opportunity to witness ‘no holds barred’ racing under the lights, showcasing the best drivers the sport has to offer.

“Having Realtree on the No. 29 All-Star car highlights the commitment RCR has to the conservation of natural habitat everywhere and to our long-standing support of our country’s hunting heritage,” said Realtree designer and President Bill Jordan. “We hope this partnership brings further awareness to all the good things outdoorsmen do to ensure that our way of life continues.”

“It’s no secret that one of Richard Childress’ greatest loves outside of racing, and maybe even ahead of racing, is hunting,” Jordan concluded. “In fact, there’s a long list of drivers and team members fired up to get outdoors with us when they have time away from the track.  Realtree has shared hunting camps with many of these guys over the past year. The good news is, fans can see all of them on hunts on ‘Realtree’s NASCAR Outdoors,’ a new show that premiers on Outdoor Channel this July.”

Heading to CMS for the fan- and driver-favorite race, Harvick and his team are having a stellar 2011 NSCS season. They have scored two victories to-date, Auto Club Speedway in California and Martinsville Speedway; tallied four top-five and six top-10 finishes in 11 races; and sit fifth in the Race to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase, making them a favorite to bask in the confetti and the big payday of Victory Lane on Saturday night.

“Realtree has been on the car since I joined the No. 29 team, and has been such a huge supporter of everything we have done from the start of my time at RCR,” said Harvick. “”They were one of my first sponsors in the ARCA series, and to see them on the No. 29 car at the All-Star race is going to be a lot of fun.”

For team owner Richard Childress, having the ongoing support from Jordan and Realtree is a relationship he values and the continuation of a tradition.

“It is great to have Realtree on the car for the All-Star Race,” said Childress. “Bill Jordan was a supporter of the No. 3 car for many years and then with the No. 29 car the last 10 years. To have him on there as a co-primary sponsor is really good to see with all our history together.”

Live coverage of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star race will begin at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday on SPEED TV, PRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
