NASCAR Truck Series Race 12 of 25 – Nashville Superspeedway

SADLER RETURNS: Elliott Sadler will be back behind the wheel of the No. 2 Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) entry for the Lucas Deep Clean 200 at Nashville Superspeedway this weekend. Sadler will pilot the Bully Hill Vineyards Chevrolet Silverado around the 1.33-mile track during his fifth appearance for KHI in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The veteran driver made his debut at the superspeedway during the Truck Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series events back in April.

WELCOME BACK: Bully Hill Vineyards will rejoin KHI for their second race this season at Nashville Superspeedway sponsoring Sadler during the 150-lap event. The No. 2 Chevrolet will don the winery’s Sweet Walter Red variety, described as a “grapey,” rich and smooth red wine, great for after dinner sipping and conversation. KHI and Bully Hill Vineyards would like to remind you to please enjoy responsibly.

ACHIEVEMENTS IN MUSIC CITY: The KHI stable has made a total of 16 Truck Series starts at the D-shaped oval. Nine different drivers have helped KHI earn impressive statistics that include one win, eight top-five and 11 top-10 finishes while leading 152 laps. Four-time Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday earned KHI’s sole Truck Series victory at Nashville back in 2009.

CHASSIS HISTORY: Crew chief Bruce Cook and the No. 2 crew will unload chassis No. 042 when the team arrives in Nashville this weekend. This chassis has been used in competition four times this season at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway, Nashville Superspeedway, Dover (Del.) International Speedway and most recently at Texas Motor Speedway when David Mayhew drove to a third-place finish after qualifying outside the top 15.

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: David Mayhew climbed into the driver’s seat of the No. 2 MMI Services Chevrolet Silverado for his second appearance with KHI during the 2011 season, as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series headed to Iowa Speedway last Saturday. Mayhew qualified in the pole position for the Coca-Cola 200 presented by Hy-Vee, his first career Truck Series pole, and maintained a position in the top 10 for the full 200-lap event and led laps before driving to a third-place finish.

SADLER’S THOUGHTS ON NASHVILLE:

What are your thoughts heading into the race at Nashville Superspeedway?

“Nashville is such a great town with amazing race fans. I’m really looking forward to going back. I’m excited to get back into the Bully Hill Vineyards Chevrolet and work with the guys on the No. 2 KHI Truck Series team. I’ve only competed at Nashville Superspeedway twice in my career, during the Truck Series and Nationwide events back in April and I’ll be pulling double duty again this trip.”
