HAMPTON, Ga. (July 22, 2011) – Fans will be treated to a lineup of up and coming bands as well as southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd as part of the Fast Cars and Guitars concert prior to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series AdvoCare 500 on Sept. 4.
Local rock and country performers can enter a “Battle of the Bands” competition through local rock station Project 961 and local country station 94.9 The Bull.
Rock performers can visit enter the “Fast Track to Fame” promotion through Atlanta station Project 961.
Country performers can visit enter 94.9 The Bull’s “Backyard Country: Battle of the Bands” competition.
Bands will compete in preliminary eliminations and two finalists from each genre will be selected. Finalists will perform on the fan stage on Saturday, Sept. 3, prior to the green flag of the NASCAR Nationwide Series Great Clips 300. Fans will vote on their favorite performer at the event, and the winner will be invited back to perform during the pre-race festivities on Sunday, Sept. 4, which includes the Fast Cars and Guitars concert featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd.
NASCAR night racing returns to Atlanta Motor Speedway this Labor Day weekend, Sept. 2-4. Tickets for the AdvoCare 500 start at $39 and $19 for students. Children 12 and under admitted free for the Great Clips 300 and the Atlanta 200 with an adult ticket.
