Charlotte, NC (August 19, 2011) – Coming off of a disappointing weekend at Watkins Glen, Robby Gordon is looking for redemption at the Nationwide road course race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal tomorrow. Making his third attempt at the 2.70 mile road course, Gordon has consistently been a contender for the win. Gordon, who started Robby Gordon Motorsports as a Nationwide team in 2005, will be piloting the No. 77 Mapei / SPEED Energy Dodge Challenger R/T.
“I’ve been to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve twice in the Nationwide Series and we’ve been in a position to win both times. Last year the green, white, checkered cost us the victory.we ran out of fuel on the second green, white, checkered and that hurt bad. It’s definitely a bitter sweet race for us. Racing at Montreal reminds me of the street circuits.it’s a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to going back,” says Gordon.
