Corporate Support Is New to NASCAR Circles; Ready For First Race With Angela
MOORESVILLE, NC, October 5, 2011 – To say that Angela Cope’s No. 23 Chevrolet will sport a variety of sponsorship partners this weekend at Kansas Speedway’s Nationwide Series race is an understatement, but what is even more interesting are the unique kinds of corporate support she is receiving, many new to the sport of NASCAR.
The categories are many and include a variety of partners, as Angela -a rookie in the Nationwide Series – will make her third start of the 2011 season. Her colorful car will not be short of logos, that is for sure.
The two primary sponsors this weekend (as well as the Charlotte Nationwide Series race the following week) include Millennium Spa/Salon Software, a leader in management software in the beauty industry, and BLK Beverages, a pure natural spring water infused with a proprietary blend of Fulvic Acid. So, why would a software company get involved in NASCAR and with Angela Cope, niece of 1990 Daytona 500 Champion Derrike Cope and twin sister to Amber, also a noted driver?

Both also made history in May when both competed in the Nationwide Series race at Iowa.
“I am a rookie in the Nationwide Series so to have this variety of support is amazing. What makes it different, too, is that our partners are basically new to the sport so we are reaching areas that hadn’t been tapped into before. Angela finished 28th at Iowa, then showed improvement on that result at Loudon, NH, with a solid 25th-place effort. She just barely missed the race in Chicago.
Angela’s resume includes countless go-cart victories and multiple championships. Since moving east she has competed in super late models, ARCA, as well as the races in NASCAR’s Truck Series and Nationwide Series.
Two practices are set for Friday for the Kansas Lottery 300. Qualifying for the event is at 9:05 am Saturday, while the green flag is set later in the day at 3:30 p.m. EST.
