  1. Such is the true sutuation. That Carl Edwards needs to finish in front of Tony Stewart. However there are many factors to play out. And the main fact is that Edwards has to earn enough points to remain in front Stewart. Where as a race win by Edwards would solve the matter in a simple manner. It is not the only way that Carl Edwards can stay ahead on points in relation to Tony Stewart. As long as they both do not end equal on points. As then the tie breaker give Tony Stewart the 2011 Sprint Cup, on count back. (While one reason Tony Stewart has survived in being so close so far is all based on the bonus points system. The same way, it is bonus points for Edwards solo season race win that kept Edwards ahead so far in the chase)
