Green Earth Technologies Sponsors Race Fever with Product Donation to AIDB’s Project Green Partners Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB) and Green Earth Technologies are drafting, coming off Turn 4 during Talladega’s NASCAR weekend.
Through AIDB’s Race Fever, May 4, Talladega Superspeedway SPEED Channel Dome, Green Earth Technologies, Inc. will donate $3,000 in industrial and automotive cleaning supplies to AIDB’s Project Green, a biodiesel public education, student training and internal production program.
Best known for its bio-based motor oils, Green Earth Technologies, Inc. currently partners with the TriStar Motorsports NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) team. TriStar has chosen G-OIL, the world’s first and only American Petroleum Institute (API) and USDA BioPreferred® certified bio-based full synthetic motor oil, for all four of his 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series cars. Drivers include Mike Bliss, Jeff Green, Eric McClure and Tayler Malsam, who made NASCAR history as the first NASCAR driver to use a bio-based motor oil, kick-starting the season at Daytona.
Malsam, Bliss, Green and McClure will join MRN’s Steve Post and legendary Auburn Basketball Coach Sonny Smith during Race Fever on‐stage to conduct live driver interviews during the Silent Auction. NASCAR great Michael Waltrip will take over as host during Race Fever’s Live Auction. Other drivers slated to attend include Marcos Ambrose, TJ Bell, Alex Bowman, Jeff Burton, Kurt Busch, Jeremy Clements, Jeffrey Earnhardt, John Ferrier, David Gilliland, Buster Graham, Aleks Gregory, Timmy Hill, Sam Hornish, Jr., Matt Kenseth, Blake Koch, Bobby Labonte, Joey Logano, Johanna Long, Joe Nemechek, Thomas Prater, David Ragan, David Reutimann, Robert Richardson, Jr., Morgan Shepherd, Brian Scott, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., Ryan Truex and Mike Wallace. The ‘Green’ Groove In racing, the term ‘groove’ is considered the most efficient or quickest way around the track for a particular driver. “We came to NASCAR to prove that our GREEN bio-based, full synthetic G-Oil can perform in NASCAR engines and competition,” said Green Earth Technologies, Inc., President and CMO, Jeffrey Loch. Six races into the season, G-Oil and the Tri-Star Motorsports Toyota team have two cars in the Top Ten in the 2012 NNS standings. “We have gotten in the groove and been introduced to a number of partners and sponsors who share similar GREEN goals. Project Green (www.aidb.org) Through extensive collaboration, AIDB is Alabama’s first educational entity to initiate a biodiesel public education, training and production program, Project Green. Housed within AIDB’s E.H. Gentry Facility and in collaboration with AIDB’s Transportation and Physical Plant Departments, Project Green has the capacity to produce 55 gallons of biodiesel per day, benefiting local businesses and city infrastructures within a 120-mile radius while providing alternative fuels’ education to Alabama school systems and to schools for the deaf and blind in Appalachian States.
