JASON BOWLES WILL ATTEMPT TO TAME THE LADY AND BLACK THIS FRIDAY NIGHT

(MOORESVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA) May 8, 2012 – While many drivers are dreading their first starts at Darlington Raceway, Jason Bowles is looking at it much the opposite. Bowles loves a challenge and many would say the track that’s deemed “To Tough to Tame” is arguably the toughest track on the circuit. The egg-shaped, 1.366 mile oval in the heart of South Carolina’s Textile Belt has bitten some of NASCAR’s best over the years and Bowles is not looking to become the next victim.

Jason on Darlington…..“Darlington to me is one of the tracks you circle on your list of venues to race on in your career. I like that the driver can really make a difference out there and hopefully I can do just that on Friday night. When you have a strong run at a track like Darlington people really stand up and take notice. There’s just so much history and great drivers that have won their in the past.”

Jason’s thoughts on Talladega…..“There is nothing more frustrating than having a really strong car with a chance to get a great finish and having something like that happen to us. It’s just the nature of the beast at the superspeedways and we’ll just have to wait a couple months now to try again at Daytona. I really do want to thank my guys for all the hard work they put in trying to get my American Majority Toyota back onto the racetrack. They never give up and it’s great to know I have people behind me like that.”

Last season at the “Lady in Black”…..Blake Koch drove the MacDonald Motorsports No. 81 last May at Darlington to a very impressive result. Without putting a scratch on the car in his first ever start there, Koch brought home an 18th place result, winning the Sunoco Rookie of the Race award. Jason Bowles will attempt to do just that this Friday night in his American Majority/PledgeToVote.com Toyota.

Points Update…..After the first eight races of the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series season, Jason Bowles finds himself 15th in the driver standings. Bowles remains third in the Rookie standings while the MacDonald Motorsports No. 81 is 27th in the car owner standings. Just 11 points separates 27th from 33rd in the owners standings so Darlington will pay a crucial role deciding who is locked in next weekend.

Watch the race…..Fans can see the VFW Sports Clips Help a Hero 200 live Friday night from Darlington at 6:30PM EST on ESPN2.
