RAM DRIVER QUOTES “Charlotte is unique for a mile-and-a-half.  It’s definitely shaped differently than other mile-and-a-halfs that we go to.  It has a little bit different pavement construction and those two things kind of add to the racing you see.  Last year we had an OK race.  We had a little bit of an issue with our truck, but we were still able to come out with an eighth-place finish.  With the improvements that we’ve made on our RAM, I think we’re going to be that much better this year.  Hopefully we can take the top-five steam we have from Kansas, improve on it and have a shot to win the race on Friday night.”  — Parker Kligerman

CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY NUMBERS

• RAM has one pole at Charlotte: Bill Lester (2003).

• RAM has one win at CMS: Ted Musgrave (2003).

• The most RAM drivers to finish inside the top 10 at CMS are five in 2003.

• Bobby Hamilton (2004) and Ted Musgrave (2005) won the season championship driving a RAM.

• RAM has captured the manufacturer’s championship three times in the 17-year history of the series – 2001, 2003 and 2004.

• Tony Raines gave RAM its first win in the series in 1997, winning at I-70 Speedway in Odessa, Mo.

• RAM won 15 of the 24 NCWTS races during the 2001 season, 13 of 25 in 2003 and 11 of 25 in 2004.

• There have been 421 races in the NCWTS beginning at Phoenix International Raceway on Feb. 2, 1995.  There were three RAM drivers – Joe Bessey, Bob Keselowski and Walker Evans – in the 33-truck starting field.  Bessey scored a fourth-place finish while Mike Skinner took the win.

RAM TALK “We’ve had a couple weeks since Kansas to try to do everything we can to get our mile-and-a-half package a little better.  Having Brad as a teammate at Kansas gave us some ideas to go back and work on.  We’ve been busy.” — Doug Randolph, Crew Chief, No. 29 Draw-Tite RAM
