JASON BOWLES AND AMERICAN MAJORITY NO. 81 TOYOTA TEAM RIDING A WAVE OF MOMENTUM HEADING INTO NEW HAMPSHIRE THIS SATURDAY

(MOORESVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA) July 10, 2012 – Following his second top-15 run in the past 3 races, the morale in the MacDonald Motorsports shop is at an all-time high. Halfway through the season and on race five of a 16 race non-stop swing, Jason Bowles and his American Majority No. 81 Toyota team are very pleased with the way things have been going. Race 17 on the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule points to New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and the F.W. Webb 200 this Saturday.

Jason on New Hampshire…..“I’ve never been to New Hampshire before but I know it’s a track that lends to some very hard racing. It’s absolutely beautiful in that area of the country and I’m looking forward to getting up there. The momentum our team has right now is great and I hope to keep it going this weekend.”

Carrying Momentum…..Through the first 11 races of the season, Jason Bowles was averaging a finishing position of 25.45. The last five races have been a different story however. Fast race cars and good calls in the pits by crew chief John Monsam have earned the American Majority No. 81 an average finishing position of 16.8 for those five races. The team is right there, knocking on the door for their first top-10 finish of the season and that could come this Saturday in New Hampshire.

Jason’s thoughts on Daytona…..“The car was really good and the race was just a lot of fun,” explained Jason after the race. “John (Monsam) and the guys did an excellent job getting my American Majority No. 81 Toyota ready to race for a win. I’m really happy with the 14th place run; I just wish we could have held on for a top-10.”

Halfway in the season…..The F.W. Webb 200 from the “Magic Mile” in New Hampshire will mark the 17th of 33 races on the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule. Following his 14th place run at Daytona, Jason is now 13th in the 2012 driver standings. Even more impressive is that he sits just 27 points out of a potential top-10 finish in the season standings.

Watch the race…..Fans can watch Jason and his American Majority team race in the F.W. Webb 200 this Saturday. The race will go live from New Hampshire Motor Speedway at 2:30PM EST on ESPN.
