Tommy Baldwin Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Advance: New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Race: Sylvania 300

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series: 28 of 36

Track: New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Track Length: 1.058 miles

Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) will head to the Northeast for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ (NSCS) second stop at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. David Reutimann will pilot the No. 10 Chevrolet in the Sylvania 300 Sunday, September 23.

TBR AT NEW HAMPSHIRE – TBR made eight starts at NHMS in three years. Although the team is fast each year at the mile-speedway, bad luck marred the team’s results in each event at Baldwin’s home track. Dave Blaney drove to the team’s best finish of 29th last July after a late race incident caused damage to his Chevrolet.

REUTIMANN AT NEW HAMPSHIRE – Reutimann made 11 starts at the “Magic Mile.” He collected one top-five and two top-10 finishes in his 11 starts and tallied his best finish of fourth in the summer of 2009. His best start of third came in the summer event last season.

BALDWIN SUCCESS AT NEW HAMPSHIRE – NHMS is a special track for Baldwin. Baldwin began competing at the mile-track in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT). He collected three wins in his career as a crew chief, two in the NWMT with Steve Park and Jeff Fuller and one in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) in 2002 with Ward Burton.

CHASSIS NO. 293 – Reutimann will drive the No. 293 chassis. This weekend will be the first time he will drive the chassis. Teammate Dave Blaney drove chassis No. 293 eight times this season and five times during the 2011 season. Blaney’s best start with the chassis was 17th at Richmond last season and best finish was 23rd at Phoenix this season. TBR purchased the chassis from Richard Childress Racing, where Jeff Burton drove the chassis prior to its debut with TBR.

MOHAWK NORTHEAST – Mohawk Northeast will adorn the hood of the No. 10 Chevrolet this weekend. Specializing in heavy construction and marine construction, as well as tugboat transportation, Mohawk Northeast, Inc. offers its valued clients cost-effective, efficient solutions founded on engineering expertise. IN THE POINTS – The No. 10 Chevrolet is currently in the 33rd position in NSCS Owner Points and locked into the top-35 by 158 points. The team is 28 points ahead of the No. 32 and trails 32nd place by 45 points. Reutimann is in the 34th position in NSCS Driver Points. He is 33 points behind teammate Blaney and 127 points ahead of David Stremme.

David Reutimann Quotes: ON RACING THIS WEEKEND – “I’m excited to get back into the No. 10 Chevrolet. We had an engine issue in July about midway through the race. We struggled a little with handling, so looking forward to this weekend to see what improvements we have made since July. Tommy has always been good at this track and it’s his home track, so it is definitely a place he is very familiar with. Our team has done well at short tracks, and with one race under our belt, I’m eager to see what we can do this weekend.”
