Martinsville Speedway, Memorial Hospital Open New FanCare Center

Martinsville, VA (October 18, 2012) – Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County has joined the elite list of Martinsville Speedway sponsors as the Official Onsite Care Provider at Martinsville Speedway.

The agreement went into effect on September 20, 2012 to provide medical care for the Infield Care Center and the new Fan Care Center. The new Fan Care Center will be open for the TUMS Fast Relief 500 on October 28.

“It’s an honor for Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County to be chosen as the official onsite care provider for the Martinsville Speedway,” said Skip Philips, Chief Executive Officer for Memorial Hospital, “and we look forward to creating one of the most exciting partnerships in all of professional sports.”

“Martinsville Speedway takes the safety of its fans and NASCAR affiliates very seriously, said track President Clay Campbell. “We are pleased to welcome Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County and their highly-skilled medical team to the Martinsville Speedway.”

The Fan Care Center is conveniently located adjacent to turn four of the racetrack in the display area. Fans are urged to take note of the location in case medical attention is needed.

Treatment provided will include minor to moderate medical conditions and injury. Those who have more serious injury or illness will be stabilized and sent to Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Department for further evaluation and treatment.”
