[media-credit name=”Photo Credit: Todd Lewis” align=”alignright” width=”107″][/media-credit]December 10, 2012. Sherwood Park, Alberta’s Noel Dowler, driver of the #5 EMCO-Kohler/Rheem Dodge in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series showed continuous improvement on the race track in his first full season of competition in 2012. The young man scored five top ten finishes during the season including his first series podium result at the very difficult Barrie Speedway. For these accomplishments Dowler was presented with the series “Driver Achievement Award” during the annual NASCAR Touring Grand Champions Ceremony.

“It’s a great honour to be recognized like this in our first full season of competition” stated Dowler. “I’m so proud of our whole team, everyone worked so hard all year, we’re improving every week and I can’t wait to get started in 2013” he added.

The NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race schedule for 2013 was announced during the weekend and the #5 EMCO-Kohler/Rheem Dodge team is looking forward to getting back in action.

“We’ve got eight oval events next year and I’m excited about that” said Dowler. “I’m really enjoying the challenge of getting into a rhythm on the ovals and we’re all focused on building for even more success in 2013” he added.

Though the calendar has yet to flip to the New Year, plans are already being cemented for 2013. “We’re very happy to have all of our partners with EMCO, Kohler and Rheem on board for another season. They have been really supportive, I get to see it firsthand when I make a visit to the dealer locations and it’s very special”.

“We’re also planning on doing some racing during Speedweeks in February to learn and gain some more experience. I think it will really give us a boost for the Canadian Tire Series competition as well”.

The entire #5 EMCO-Kohler/Rheem Dodge team would like to wish everyone a Happy and Safe Holiday season. We look forward to seeing everyone at the races again in 2013. For more information about Noel Dowler log onto www.apollomotorsports.ca and follow him on twitter, @noeldowler.
