BMS FAN-FRIENDLY LODGING PARTNERS ANNOUNCED FOR 2013 SEASON

BMSIn its Third Year, Program Gives BMS Guest Cost-Saving Options

BRISTOL, Tenn. (Monday, Jan. 28, 2013) – One of the most recognizable of Bristol Motor Speedway’s guest initiative programs takes shape for 2013 with at least three new partners.

The Fan-Friendly Lodging Program identifies properties with reduced rates and nightly minimums to help ease the cost of attending events at Bristol Motor Speedway. It is just one of the more than half-dozen such programs established at BMS in the last three years aimed at adding value to the pilgrimage made by guests to the East Tennessee mountains.

“When we developed this program more than three years ago, we did not want to limit the definition of lodging properties to just hotels, but any type of facility with accommodations for our guest,” said BMS General Manager Jerry Caldwell. “As a result we have chain and privately-owned hotels, cabins, lodges and even an historic Inn which has hosted three former U.S. Presidents.

“It is a wide variety of options for our guests to choose what best suits their needs and we encourage them to see which of these properties may be right for them.”

Properties in three states: Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina, make up the preliminary list for 2013.

Caldwell expects more properties to join the program.

“We have spent three years building this project and our goal is for it to grow with more properties and options every year.

Season tickets, which include both Sprint Cup races and both Nationwide events, also may be purchased starting at just $175.
