With a growing number of fans at MIS being first-timers or guests who are returning after an absence, one of our track’s missions has become to educate fans to help them make the most of their experience while at the track.
“We want it to be easy to be a fan,” MIS President Roger Curtis said. “The one thing we have heard is how fans want to learn about the track and NASCAR before they even leave the house. This website is a fun way for guests to gain a comfort level with the track and what they can expect at an event larger than the Super Bowl before arriving.”
In addition to this website there are many additional ways for fans to learn about MIS and NASCAR, including Discover MIS, guest guide, subscribing to the newsletter and asking a question to the Fan Advisory Board. Fans can also follow the track socially on Facebook (www.facebook.com/MISpeedway) and Twitter (@MISpeedway).
myMISpeedway.com features videos that describe everything at MIS from how to use the trams to how to use FanVision. What is the Rookie Pit Stop at MIS? How does a guest navigate the New Holland Fan Plaza?
Watch a series of short videos as Curtis and other speedway employees walk guests through everything needed to know to being a NASCAR fan.
Don’t know what to pack, what to bring in the gates or a schedule? There are packing lists and advice for fans and their kids.
The best people to give tips are fellow race fans. So even NASCAR fans offer advice on how to make a visit to MIS more enjoyable.
Like anything, the website will evolve as content and competition change. The speedway’s staff will always be on the lookout for new content and fun ways to make the website helpful, educational and worthwhile.
Nestled in the lush Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is the Great Escape, a venerable NASCAR national park where fans can get away and enjoy the very best in racing and camaraderie.
