Second time to “The Monster”… Dakoda Armstrong and his TurnOne Racing team travel to Dover International Speedway this weekend for the 21-year-old’s second trip to the one-mile concrete oval. Entering Friday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Lucas Oil 200 eighth in driver point standings, Armstrong hopes to improve on his only other start at Dover — a 20th place result last June.

“We had a really strong truck at Charlotte, definitely capable of a top-five finish, just had some trouble on the final restart and couldn’t rebound,” Armstrong explained. “But my TurnOne Racing team and I have the confidence we can produce fast Silverados every week, so I’m looking forward to carrying our momentum into Dover and continuing to gain ground in the point standings.”

This Weekend’s WinField Silverado… Crew Chief Gere Kennon and the No. 60 WinField Chevrolet team have prepared Chassis 002 for Armstrong to pilot at Dover. Purchased from Richard Childress Racing at the start of the season, this particular Silverado qualified eighth with Armstrong behind the wheel in its only other start this season at Rockingham Speedway.

Meet and Greet… Armstrong will join his fellow NCWTS competitors at the Lucas Oil display behind the front stretch grandstands on Friday afternoon from 1:30-2:15 pm ET. Drivers will be signing autographs and greeting fans prior to the 200-mile event.

Broadcast Information… The Lucas Oil 200 will be broadcast live on SPEED beginning with the NCWTS Setup at 4:30 pm ET, with radio coverage provided by MRN at 5:00 pm ET.

Previous Race Recap: Charlotte Motor Speedway… Dakoda Armstrong and the No. 60 WinField Silverado team entered the NCWTS North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway with high hopes after successful practice sessions and a top-10 qualifying effort. Rallying back from an early incident on pit road and damage repair, Armstrong pushed forward from the rear of the field to put himself back into contention. Racing inside the top-five with less than 30 laps to go, Armstrong experienced trouble getting up to speed, but avoided several close calls on track to claim his second-consecutive 12th place finish.

Dakoda Armstrong on Dover International Speedway:
“My first trip to Dover wasn’t the best, so I’m hoping this time around I’ll have a better run in the WinField Silverado,” Armstrong said. “I’ve heard from a lot of drivers that when you have a good truck, you have a lot more fun at Dover. It’s a fast, high-banked oval which I really like, but also makes it difficult if you don’t have your truck perfect. I’m confident my TurnOne team can give me the perfect truck though, so I’m looking forward to having fun this weekend at ‘The Monster Mile’.”
