Jeb Burton
No. 4 Arrowhead Chevrolet Silverado
Homestead-Miami Speedway – Ford EcoBoost 200

November 15, 2013

It All Comes Down to This…For its 2013 season finale, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) will head to Homestead-Miami Speedway for a night of racing under the lights in the Sunshine State. The 21-year-old Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate will make his final track debut of the year in the Ford EcoBoost 200 with hopes of keeping his top-five spot in the NCWTS Driver Point Standings.

This Week’s Silverado…The No. 4 Turner Scott Motorsports (TSM) team will unload chassis TSM-605 this weekend in Homestead. The brand-new, new-generation chassis made its track debut two weeks ago at Texas Motor Speedway where it landed Burton his seventh pole award of the season.

Don’t Forget to Vote…Time is running out! Don’t forget to vote for Burton as your favorite 2013 NCWTS driver. Vote once a day up until this Friday, November 15 at www.nascar.com/ncwtsmpd. #TeamBurton

A Must-See…You won’t want to miss the NCWTS grand finale. The Ford EcoBoost 200 can be seen live on Friday, November 15 beginning at 7:30 p.m. EST on FOX Sports 1. The race can also be heard live on MRN Radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90.

Previous Race Recap…In his track debut at Phoenix International Raceway, Burton showed improvement as he learned the ins and outs of the track, but trouble in his qualifying effort left the 21-year-old rookie in the 24th position for the start of the Lucas Oil 150. After a final caution left the field with a 10-lap race to the finish line, Burton and two competitors went three-wide, causing the No. 4 truck to drop track position and end the night in 11th place as the checkered flag waved.

Jeb Burton on Racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway:

“I’m looking forward to racing at Homestead this weekend. I know I’m at a disadvantage since several teams got to test there, but my team has had success at unfamiliar tracks before and I’m hoping that will be the case on Friday. I’m just thankful I’ve had the opportunity to race for Turner Scott Motorsports and represent Arrowhead this year, and I look forward to contending for the Truck Series championship in 2014. This No. 4 team will be back and ready to go in Daytona.”

Ben Kennedy
No. 30 Florida Lottery Chevrolet Silverado
Homestead-Miami Speedway – Ford EcoBoost 200

November 15, 2013

Sunshine State…Ben Kennedy will return to his home state attempt to make his fifth career start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) on Friday, November 15 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. This will be Kennedy’s first time at 1.5-mile track.

Kennedy’s No. 30 truck entry is not locked in on owner’s points and he will have to qualify his way into the race on time.

This Week’s Silverado…This weekend the No. 30 Turner Scott Motorsports (TSM) team will unload chassis TSM-218 at Homestead. The chassis has visited victory lane twice in its history: with Nelson Piquet Jr. at Michigan International Speedway (2012) and with Kyle Larson at Rockingham Speedway (2013). Kennedy’s most recent appearance in chassis No. 218 was at Chicagoland Speedway in September, where he finished 16th.

Last Time Out…Ben Kennedy returned to TSM for his fourth-career NCWTS race, the Kroger 200 at Martinsville Speedway. After two practice sessions at the half-mile track, Kennedy qualified 14th for the 200-lap race. Kennedy remained patient throughout the event and worked his way towards the front. After avoiding late-race mayhem, Kennedy crossed the finish line in fourth, earning a top-five finish in just his fourth NCWTS start and his first race at Martinsville Speedway.

Watch and Listen…The Ford EcoBoost 200 can be seen live Friday, November 16 on FOX Sports 1, with coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m. EST. The race can also be heard live on MRN Radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90.

Crew Chief Chris Carrier on Ben Kennedy and Racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway:

“Homestead is a little bit more kind to rookies compared to a mile-and-a-half like Chicagoland [Speedway]. Homestead isn’t as fast as Chicagoland and the speeds fall off a lot more. Homestead is almost like a mile-and-a-half Rockingham, except it’s not as rough. There’s multiple grooves, which is better for a rookie like Ben because he will have several lane choices depending on what the truck is doing. Ben is a very good student of the sport and devotes a lot time to doing everything he can to be his best, so it’s just up to us to provide him with a great truck and make the best call from the pit box.”

Ben Kennedy on Racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway:

“I’m looking forward to Homestead. I’ve watched a few DVDs of qualifying and races from the last few years at Homestead. Every time I’m in the truck, I’m building more chemistry with Chris Carrier and the guys. After a great finish at Martinsville, my confidence is up, and obviously that’s huge part of the sport. Otherwise, I just want to get the best finish I can for Florida Lottery and everyone at TSM.”

James Buescher
No. 31 Rheem Chevrolet Silverado
Homestead-Miami Speedway – Ford EcoBoost 200November 15, 2013The Final Lap…The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads down to Homestead-Miami Speedway for the 2013 season finale. Buescher will look to finish the year off on top and move back into the second spot in the NCWTS Driver Point Standings. If successful, Buescher will have an average finish in the championship standings of 2.0 in the last three seasons. Buescher has recorded one pole at Homestead and has led a total 19 laps.

Gotta Have a Rheem…For the final race of 2013, the No. 31 TSM team will have the Rheem colors on board for the Ford EcoBoost 200. Rheem Manufacturing Company (www.rheem.com) is privately held with headquarters in Atlanta. In its 87th year of operation, the company manufactures a full line of high-quality residential and commercial heating and cooling systems; tank, tankless, solar, and heat pump water heaters; swimming pool heaters and commercial boilers throughout North America and world markets. The company’s premium brands, including Raypak, Ruud and Rheem, have been recognized with countless industry and consumer awards for reliability, innovative design and high quality. Rheem, now in its seventh consecutive year as a NASCAR sponsor, is the official heating, cooling and water heating supplier to Turner Scott Motorsports and Richard Childress Racing. Rheem also sponsors RCR’s No. 29 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car driven by Kevin Harvick and the No. 33 NASCAR Nationwide Series car driven by Paul Menard.

Chassis Info…The Rheem team will bring chassis TSM-603 for the NCWTS season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The last time this chassis hit the track was at Chicagoland Speedway where it was driven to an eighth-place finish.

Previous Race Recap…After a surprising qualifying lap for Buescher, the No. 31 Rheem team started the Lucas Oil 150 in the fourth position. Once racing began, Buescher quickly was pressuring for the second running spot. On the first pit stop of the race, the Rheem team opted to take four tires, fuel and make a chassis change by adding a spring rubber. Dropping back in the running order due to differing tire strategies, Buescher lost valuable track position and as the race unfolded and was unable to regain that track position. However, Buescher was able to bring his Rheem team home their first top 10 at Phoenix International Raceway with a ninth-place finish.

Stay Up to Date…Don’t forget to stay up to date with all things James Buescher during the off-season by following along on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and his website.

James Buescher on Closing Out 2013 at Homestead-Miami Speedway

“Homestead hasn’t typically been one of our strong tracks on the circuit, but my Rheem team and I are looking to turn that stat around. Even though we might not be able to win the championship, we want to grab that second spot and we feel like we have a strong truck that will give us an opportunity to win another race this season and head into the off-season on a high note.”

Miguel Paludo has three previous starts at the 1.5-mile oval, with his best finish of fifth coming in the 2012 season finale.

Wrapping Up…As the 2013 season comes to a close, Paludo and the No. 32 NCWTS team have a lot to be proud of. This season has been the best of Paludo’s career, with the Brazilian earning one pole, four top fives, 11 top 10s and 72 laps led. Paludo has also earned the best average start (9.6) and average finish (12.7) of his career.

Save The Date…The Turner Scott Motorsports teams will arrive in Miami on Thursday, November 14, which is known internationally as World Diabetes Day, the primary global awareness campaign of the diabetes community. World Diabetes Day is held annually on November 14th and was introduced in 1991 by the International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organization in response to the alarming rise of diabetes around the world. While the campaign lasts the entire year, the day itself marks the birthday of Frederick Banting who, along with Charles Best, first conceived the idea which led to the discovery of insulin in 1922.

Last Chance To Vote…The polls are still open for the 2013 NCWTS Most Popular Driver fan vote. Fans can vote once a day from each device: laptop, desktop, tablet, smart phone, etc. Be sure to place your vote for Paludo every day from now until November 15 at www.nascar.com/ncwtsmpd.

This Week’s Silverado…Paludo and the No. 32 AccuDoc Solutions team will unload chassis TSM-600 this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. TSM-600 most recently earned an eighth-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway on November 1. This will be the intermediate truck’s eighth race of the season.

Previous Race Recap…Paludo started the weekend strong at Phoenix International Raceway, running in the top 10 in both practice sessions and showing the promise to visit victory lane at a track known for first-time winners. Unfortunately, bad luck struck the No. 32 AccuDoc Solutions team early when Paludo blew a tire on lap 34, which sent him into the wall and relegated him to a 31st-place finish in the penultimate race of the 2013 NCWTS season.

Miguel Paludo on driving at Homestead-Miami Speedway

“Homestead is truly one of my favorite tracks; it’s a place that I’ve run well in the past, and it’s in a city I really enjoy visiting. I’m hoping that we can close out the season strong there, just like we did last season. This year has been a challenge; I’ve run better than I’ve ever run in the past, but it’s almost more frustrating to be so close to winning so many times and just not close the deal. I am so proud of everyone on my team and I’m very appreciative to everyone at Turner Scott Motorsports. My guys have done a heck of a job, and there’s nothing I want more than to get them into victory lane where they belong.”

Cale Gale on returning as Defending Race Winner at Homestead:

“This is definitely a unique situation coming into an event as a race winner, but it has a great feeling that comes along with it knowing that everyone is aiming to knock you off the top. Our Ruud team had a great run last time out in Phoenix and I think we will be even more prepared for this weekend’s race. If we can be close to contention at the end, I’ll do everything I can to defend my crown as race winner!”
