Leavine Family Racing’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series history at Martinsville Speedway … Team owner Bob Leavine has three starts at the Martinsville Speedway. Leavine Family Racing finished 41st a year ago in the spring event and finished 40th in October event at the Martinsville, Va. facility.

LFR’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series History … Since entering the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2011, the Concord, N.C.-based organization has logged 42 starts, with one top-10 finish, an average starting position of 33.5, and an average finishing position of 36.6.

No. 95 Triangle Office Equipment Ford Fusion

This Week’s Leavine Family Racing Ford Fusion at Martinsville Speedway … Michael McDowell will pilot Chassis No. PRS-838 in the STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway. McDowell drove this LFR-prepared Ford Fusion to a 33rd-place finish at Phoenix International Raceway on March 2, as well as driving it at Bristol Motor Speedway on March 16 with a qualifying effort of 24th and finishing 37th.

McDowell at The Paperclip … Although this weekend marks McDowell’s first Martinsville Speedway appearance for Leavine Family Racing, the Glendale, Ariz., driver has made nine NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at the .526 -mile track, earning a career-best 26th-place finish at the track both in March 2008 and October 2013. McDowell made his career-first start in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Martinsville Speedway on March 30, 2008. In October 2007, McDowell finished 30th in his only NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the track.

Short-Track Stats … McDowell is not short on experience with race stats on tracks less than one-mile in length. He has 26 starts on short tracks in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Furnish the Track … The No. 95 Ford Fusion team will sport the red, white and blue colors this weekend at Martinsville Speedway, where the Triangle Office Equipment logo will adorn the hood and quarter panels of the car. Triangle Office Equipment is a family owned company based in Chapel Hill, NC, that offers a full line of office furniture and architectural products. Triangle Office Equipment furniture is in the Leavine Family Racing front office and throughout the team facilities.

In the Rearview Mirror: Bristol Motor Speedway … Michael McDowell piloted the No. 95 K-LOVE Ford at Bristol Motor Speedway where he drove to a 37th-place finish. McDowell started the scheduled 500-lap event from the 24th-position, and soon after, the initial start was delayed nearly two hours. After being involved in an incident, the No. 95 Ford needed to make multiple trips down pit road as well as to the garage so that the Leavine Family Racing team could make repairs. McDowell ultimately salvaged a 37th-place finish.
