EARNHARDT ROLLS INTO KENTUCKY
SPARTA, Ky. – Jeffrey Earnhardt will make his third appearance in a NASCAR national-series race at Kentucky Speedway in Friday night’s John R. Elliott Hero Campaign 300.

Earnhardt has raced in one Nationwide and one Camping World Truck Series event at the 1.5-mile track. He will be looking for his first top-10 run at the speedway.

Earnhardt will drive the BCL Auction No. 4 Chevrolet fielded by JD Motorsports with Gary Keller.

“It’s a tough track and hard to get a grip on, but I like that,” Earnhardt said. “We haven’t gotten the finishes we’ve wanted lately, so I’m looking at this weekend as a chance to kind of turn things around.”Earnhardt was pushing toward a top-15 finish in last week’s road race at Road America in Wisconsin, but an accident on the final lap dropped him to 23rd.Practice is scheduled at Kentucky from 6:30 to 7:25 p.m. Thursday, with another practice round to follow at 9 a.m. Friday. Qualifying is set for 3:40 p.m. Friday, followed by the race at 7:30.
