Red Horse Racing at Pocono Raceway… In nine NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at Pocono Raceway, Red Horse Racing has earned two top-five and four top-10 finishes.

2014: The Year of the (Red) Horse… With10 races in the books for the 2014 season, Red Horse Racing holds the fifth and eighth positions in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver championship point standings with drivers Germán Quiroga and Timothy Peters, respectively. The RHR teams have collectively claimed six top-five and 14 top-10 finishes this season.

About Red Horse Racing… Following the 2005 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Clean Line Motorsports became Red Horse Racing under new ownership. Seven races later, Red Horse Racing earned both its first pole award and win at Memphis Motorsports Park with Brandon Whitt behind the wheel of the No. 38 Toyota Tundra. Now in its 10th year of NCWTS competition, Red Horse Racing has logged a total of 404 starts, earning 12 wins, 79 top-five finishes, 170 top-10 finishes and 11 pole awards, with an average starting position of 13.4 and an average finishing position of 14.3.

Meet Red Horse Racing Drivers at the ‘Tricky Triangle’… RHR’s Timothy Peters and Germán Quiroga are scheduled to participate in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series autograph session at Pocono Raceway with fellow drivers on Friday, August 1 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. local time. The event will take place in the Chalet Village, located behind Turn 3 next to the Gate 8 ticket booth

Red Horses from the Keystone State… Red Horse Racing shock specialist Chuck Schmick considers Pennsylvania home. He grew up in Slatington, 30 miles south of Pocono Raceway, and worked on northeast dirt modifieds. Joel Ankenbrant, a mechanic on the No. 77 OtterBox team grew up in Potsville, Pennsylvania, and Stephen Sokol, the front tire carrier for the No. 17 Red Horse Racing team hails from Ohioville.

Catch the Action… FOX Sports 1’s live coverage of the Pocono Mountains 150is scheduled to begin on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 1 p.m. Eastern Time, with NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Set Up airing at 12:30 p.m. The race will also be broadcast on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90. Qualifying for the 11th event on the 2014 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule will air live on FOX Sports 2 on Aug. 2 at 10 a.m. ET.

Toyota Tundra

This Week’s OtterBox Toyota Tundra at Pocono Raceway… Germán Quiroga will be piloting chassis No. 003 in the Pocono Mountains 150 at Pocono Raceway on Saturday, Aug. 2. This is the same Toyota Tundra that he drove to his career-best finish of second at Gateway Motorsports Park in June.

Quiroga at Pocono Raceway… Quiroga has one previous start at Pocono Raceway (August 2013) where he earned a third-place finish after qualifying fourth and leading three laps. At the time, this third-place result tied his career-best finish at Texas Motor Speedway (June 2013), before he earned a second-place finish in the Drivin’ for Linemen 200 at Gateway Motorsports Park in June 2014.

Race Rewind: Eldora Speedway… Last week Quiroga competed on a dirt track for the second time in his career in the Mudsummer Classic at Eldora Speedway. He qualified 24th after competing in the fourth heat race of the night, and brought home a 12th-place finish after battling his way forward and running as high as 10th.

On heading to Pocono Raceway, his favorite track… “I love Pocono (Raceway). I’ve been looking forward to going back since we raced there last season! We finished third there last year and I definitely think we’ll be fighting for a win this weekend.”

On being in contention for the championship… “I think we’ve had a great season, but we can’t look too far ahead. We still have half of a season of racing left, so I want to take it week by week. I’m really proud of my entire team for all their hard work this year, and have to thank NET10 Wireless and OtterBox for their continued support.”

This Week’s Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra at Pocono Raceway… Timothy Peters will be competing in chassis No. 018 in the Pocono Mountains 150 at Pocono Raceway on Saturday, Aug. 2. This Toyota Tundra was built new in 2014 and was previously raced in May at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This will be the first time Peters will utilize it in competition.

Peters History at Pocono Raceway… Peters has four previous starts at Pocono Raceway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He has two top-10 finishes with an average starting position of 12.5 and an average finishing position of 13.5. His best finish at the Tricky Triangle was an eighth-place result in July 2013 while competing for Red Horse Racing.

Race Rewind: Eldora Speedway… Timothy Peters qualified 14th for the Mudsummer Classic after turning the ninth-fastest lap in the qualifying session and starting on the front row in the fourth heat race of the night. He drove the No. 17 Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra to a 16th-place finish in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ second visit to Eldora Speedway.

On racing at Pocono Raceway… “I am excited about racing at Pocono (Raceway). I always look forward to this race because of the Igdalsky family. We have a racing history together and it’s always great to catch up with them.”

On tackling the ‘Tricky Triangle’… “The ‘Tricky Triangle’ is a good name for the place. Getting through the tunnel turn seems to be the most difficult part, where I think the race is won or lost. If you can get through that turn with no hiccups you are bound to make a great lap.”
