McClure Looking to Improve on Past Finishes at CMS

With Momentum on Side, McClure Hopes for Solid Outing at CMS: After posting a 19^th-place finish at Kansas Speedway, Eric McClure heads to Charlotte Motor Speedway looking to improve on his past finishes at the 1.5-mile speedway. In 12 starts, the Virginia driver’s best finish came in 2009 where he finished 18^th. Earlier this year, when the series made its first stop at CMS, McClure posted a 29^th-place finish.

McClure’s thoughts on Charlotte: “Charlotte is another opportunity for our team to continue to improve and identify those areas that will make us stronger going forward. We did not run well in the first race this year but through the summer we were able to show decent speed at the intermediate tracks. Hopefully we can continue to take positive steps, put everything together, and leave there will a solid result. Our guys deserve to see some fruits of their labor.”

No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Camry: The Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® team will utilize chassis No. 677 for this weekend’s Drive for the Cure 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  This chassis was used last at Chicagoland Speedway where the team posted a 26^th-place finish.

Fun Fact: Following Friday night’s race, McClure and his family will head to Walt Disney World® for a mini vacation since the series doesn’t return to action until Saturday, November 1 at Texas Motor Speedway.
