Team to highlight race preparation with #QuickMoments Social Platform
CONCORD, N.C. (Nov. 10, 2014) – Roush Fenway Racing rookie and NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) winner Chris Buescher will partner with Lilly in the 2014 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Buescher will carry the Humalog KwikPen colors on his iconic No. 60 Roush Fenway Mustang as he looks to finish out his NNS rookie season with a victory at the 1.5-mile track in the Ford EcoBoost 300 during the season-ending Ford Championship weekend.
“We are very excited to have Humalog on board,” said Buescher. “The keys to a successful race are quick thinking on the track, quick work in the pits and of course a quick race car, so I can’t think of a better partner on the car than the Humalog KwikPen. Hopefully, we’ll get off to a quick start, finish strong and close out the season with another win.”
Buescher has 15 top-10 finishes in 29 starts during his rookie season, including his first career NASCAR victory earlier this season at Mid-Ohio.
“Lilly has a strong relationship with Roush Fenway Racing and we’re excited to have the Humalog KwikPen on the No. 60 for the final race of the season,” said Kevin Cammack, senior marketing director, Lilly. “We’ve been so impressed with how quickly Chris and his team have improved in his rookie year and are hopeful they can finish out the season in victory lane.”
In addition, the team will showcase race-week preparations with a series of #QuickMoments short videos released throughout the week. The #QuickMoments platform will give fans a never-before-seen look at race preparation from start to finish via six-second Vine videos from Chris Buescher shared across Roush Fenway’s Vine and Twitter platforms.
The EcoBoost 300 is set for Saturday, Nov. 15 at 4:30 p.m. ET and will be televised live on ESPN2. It will mark Buescher’s first career start at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
