CASSILL READY FOR IOWA

NEWTON, Iowa – Landon Cassill returns to his home state of Iowa this weekend looking for more success at Iowa Speedway.

Cassill will drive the Flex Seal 01 Chevrolet for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller in Sunday’s 3M 250.

A native of Cedar Rapids, Cassill has a good history at the Iowa track. He finished 10th and 13th there in Xfinity Series races last season

“Iowa is one of the best combinations of a short track but a fast track,” Cassill said. “It’s a really fun track for drivers, and it’s a good show for the fans. We always look forward to heading back there.”

Cassill, 15th in Xfinity Series points after a strong 11th-place run in the most recent race at Talladega Superspeedway, will make his first Iowa run with new crew chief Wayne Setterington Jr. Sunday.

Practice is scheduled at 10 a.m. and noon (ET) Saturday, with qualifying to follow at 5:45 p.m. The race is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday.
