TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY, LEVY RESTAURANTS UNVEILING ‘LOADED HAWG DAWG’ AT THIS WEEKEND’S FIRESTONE 60

  • Next-Generation Hawg Heaven Concession Item Features Foot-Long Sandwich Loaded With Pulled Pork, Bacon, Mozzarella Cheese Sticks And Jalapeno Bacon Queso

FORT WORTH, Texas (June 2, 2015) – Texas Motor Speedway and Levy Restaurants are back at it with its newest creation to the Hawg Heaven line of concession items.

This bacon-infused culinary treat — the Loaded Hawg Dawg – will make its debut at this weekend’s Firestone 600 INDYCAR/NASCAR doubleheader at Texas Motor Speedway.

The Loaded Hawg Dawg is a delicious, oversized sandwich featuring a generous portion of slow-cooked pulled pork, two mozzarella cheese sticks and two thick slices of bacon on a foot-long bun. It is then topped off with cheddar bacon jalapeno queso and sliced jalapenos.

The sandwich, which will sell for $12, will only be available at the concession stand on the concourse inside the Gate 4 main grandstand entrance duringFriday’s NTT DATA Qualifying Day and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series WinStar World Casino & Resort 400 as well as Saturday evening’s Firestone 600 Verizon IndyCar Series race.

“We are always looking to expand our Hawg Heaven brand,” Levy Restaurants chef Lincoln Engstrom said. “This foot-long sandwich is the perfect combination of everything race fans love. The bacon elements bring out all of the other flavors. I’m sure everyone will enjoy this bacon-inspired sandwich that is a meal in itself.”

The Hawg Heaven concession line began in 2013 with Hawg Heaven Bacon Cotton Candy and has featured the Shake ‘n Bacon Brew bacon-infused beer milkshake, the Hawg Heaven Bacon Nachos and, most recently, the Hawg Heaven Queso Wings.
