CHASTAIN FINISHES 20TH AT KENTUCKY

SPARTA, Ky. – Ross Chastain remained a solid 14th in Xfinity Series points by finishing 20th in Friday night’s Kentucky 300 at Kentucky Speedway.

Chastain, driving the Protect Your Melon Chevrolet with support from Watermelon.org and the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety, qualified 18th to start the day. He scored his eighth top-20 finish of the season and his third in a row.

“It was a pretty good night,” Chastain said. “We didn’t get the car exactly where we wanted it, but we got in some fast laps and finished strong. I want to thank the folks at Watermelon.org and especially the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety for coming on board. I think we got a strong safety message across with the ‘Protect Your Melon’ Chevrolet.”

Brad Keselowski won the race. Chris Buescher finished 11th and padded his series point lead to 36th.

The series moves on to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for a July 18 race.
