No. 17 Cargill Beef Ford to Feature Sam’s Club Scheme in Richmond and Phoenix

CONCORD, N.C. (Sept. 9, 2015) – The No. 17 Cargill Beef Ford Fusion will feature a special Sam’s Club paint scheme this weekend at Richmond International Raceway.  Cargill Beef first featured a Sam’s Club scheme in 2011 during Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s first championship season in the NASCAR XFINITY Series.  In 2012, Stenhouse drove the Cargill Beef/Sam’s Club Ford to victory lane in Kansas for his sixth win en route to his second XFINITY Series title.  The Sam’s Club scheme will also run on the No. 17 Cargill Beef Ford at Phoenix International Raceway in November.

“We love running the Sam’s Club paint scheme for Cargill Beef because it’s such a recognizable logo and we’ve had a great history with both partners on our cars,” said Stenhouse.  “This year the car has a little different look than we’ve run in the past with a little more white on it so I think the fans will definitely notice the No. 17 in Richmond and Phoenix.”

Cargill Beef has a longstanding history of supplying quality beef to Sam’s Club members across the country.

“We’ve had a successful partnership with Roush Fenway racing for several years that has included multiple wins and two championships,” said Tammy Shaw, Vice-President, Cargill Beef Marketing.   “We are pleased to once again include Sam’s Club in our NASCAR program on the No. 17 Ford.  The great American tradition of tailgate grilling is in full swing and we’re proud to be a part of it by supplying quality beef to Sam’s Club members.”

In addition to the car on the track, there will be a Sam’s Club showcar program at Richmond-area store locations during the week leading up to the race.  Stenhouse will make an appearance at the 4571 S. Laburnum Ave. Sam’s Club location on Thursday, Sept. 10th starting at 4p.m. ET.
