WIX® Filters Extends Partnership with Richard Childress Racing

Leader in Automotive Air and Oil Filters Continues Technical Support with RCR and ECR Engines

GASTONIA, N.C. (April 15, 2016) – In advance of this weekend’s race at Bristol Motor Speedway, WIX® Filters, a global manufacturer of filtration products, announced the continuation of its partnership with Richard Childress Racing (RCR).

Entering its third season, the partnership includes primary branding of select events with the No. 31 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series program and driver Ryan Newman. WIX also served as primary sponsor of the No. 62 XFINITY Series program and driver Brendan Gaughan last weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.

Under the partnership, WIX continues its technical support of both RCR and ECR Engines by supplying air and oil filters and providing research and development support. All RCR race cars will also feature the WIX logo under the hood.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Richard Childress Racing and Ryan Newman again,” said Jennifer Gibson, brand manager for WIX. “Newman Nation and RCR’s fan base bring such great passion and excitement to each race season; we can’t wait to see how the partnership continues to grow in 2016.”

Newman’s turn in the WIX Filters Chevrolet begins this weekend for the running of the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee on April 17.

“For more than 75 years, WIX Filters has been the industry leader, providing customers with premium quality automotive filters designed to exceed performance demands. RCR has been involved with WIX for many years, going back to when I was building the engines myself,” said Richard Childress, CEO and chairman of Richard Childress Racing. “Around 2000, we began working with WIX to develop air and oil filters to help our racing program and sure enough, they built us ones that exceeded our performance demands. WIX has always been there for us and I’m proud to continue to work alongside WIX’s engineers to apply our research to their everyday performance demands.”

WIX will showcase the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series across its social media pages, including Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat (@WIX_Filters) and Instagram. For more information on WIX, please visit wixfilters.com.
