2019 Season Stats

Notes:

– Nemechek and the No. 23 team will utilize chassis no. 222. This chassis was raced three times in 2018. Twice by Spencer Gallagher once at Dover International Speedway in the Spring (start: 4th/finish: 5th) and the other at Homestead-Miami Speedway (start: 17th/finish: 17th). The other by Johnny Sauter at Dover International Speedway in the Fall (start: 11th/finish: 6th).

– Nemechek is currently tied with Chase Briscoe for the first-place spot in Sunoco Rookie of the Year points; both competitors have 295 points.

Quotes:

“I enjoy Dover a lot. It takes an athlete to get around that place. It’s brutal on the body and mentally, similar to Bristol. You have to train to get your body and mind ready to go 200 miles around that place. GMS Racing was really strong at Dover last year. Spencer (Gallagher, driver) finished in the top-five and then Johnny (Sauter, driver) followed that up in the Fall with a sixth-place finish. I hope we can continue that strong finish streak and maybe even get Maury (Gallagher, owner) into Winners Circle.
