Wesson Whitaker, the nine-year-old driver of the No. 77 micro sprint with BSI Race Team, has won the 2026 NOW600 Junior Sprints National Championship.

Rydin Decal was Wesson’s primary sponsor for the 2026 championship season.

The title marks a milestone for a young competitor whose ambition began at a NASCAR race. After attending the event, Wesson decided he wanted to become a race car driver. He started with an inexpensive car, and his parents increased their investment as they saw how seriously he took the sport.

His racing journey now has an audience beyond the track. Wesson’s social accounts have a combined following of approximately 92,000 across Facebook, TikTok and Instagram, where he shares racing videos and glimpses of his life in the sport.

The championship comes alongside an ongoing commitment to driver development. Wesson studies race footage weekly, reviews racing lines and works on throttle and brake technique with his coach and crew chief. Simulator practice is also part of his preparation.

He is homeschooled and travels full time while racing. That routine places education, practice and competition within a life spent moving between races. His parents support the journey, while Wesson continues learning the skills he needs behind the wheel.

Earlier in the year, fans selected him as MicroSprintHub’s 2026 mid-season Junior Sprints People’s Choice award winner. That recognition reflected support from the racing community; the national championship adds a major competitive achievement to his season.

Wesson’s long-term ambitions include NASCAR and High Limit sprint cars. For now, the No. 77 remains the setting for his development, with his coach, crew chief and BSI Race Team helping him continue to improve.

Fans can follow the next stage of his racing journey through his official website and social accounts. His videos provide an introduction to the young driver, while his racing accomplishments document the progress he is making in competition.
