Event: YellaWood 500
Date/Time: Sunday, October 25, 2026, 2 p.m. ET
Location: Talladega Superspeedway, Talladega, Alabama
Layout: 2.66-Mile Superspeedway
TV/Radio: NBC, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio
With three races remaining in the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season, including this weekend’s YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, Josh Berry and the No. 21 Würth team are looking to carry their recent momentum into the final stretch of the season.
Since breaking out of a difficult stretch with a seventh-place finish at Indianapolis on July 26, Berry and the Wood Brothers have recorded eight top-10 finishes in the past 12 races, including three top-five results.
During that span, Berry has posted an average finish of 12.08, a significant improvement over his 27.38 average finish through the first 21 races of the season. His overall average finish has improved to 21.9, while the Wood Brothers have climbed from 34th to 22nd in the NASCAR Cup Series owner points standings since Indianapolis.
“We’re getting down to the final few races of the season, and everybody on this No. 21 team wants to finish the year on a strong note,” Berry said. “Talladega is always unpredictable, but it’s also a place where you can make something happen if you’re in the right position at the end.”
The unpredictable nature of Talladega has been evident in Berry’s two most recent starts at the 2.66-mile superspeedway. Last fall, he led 27 laps before a mechanical issue ended his race prematurely. Earlier this season, his day was cut short after being collected in a crash.
“We’ve just got to stay focused, make smart decisions and hopefully come away with a result we can be proud of,” Berry said.
Per NASCAR rules for drafting-style tracks, there will be no practice session this weekend. Qualifying for the YellaWood 500 is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. ET, with television coverage on truTV.
Sunday’s 188-lap, 500.08-mile race is scheduled to take the green flag shortly after 2 p.m. ET, with live coverage on NBC.
Stage breaks are scheduled for Laps 98 and 143.
