PREECE ROLLS INTO IOWA

NEWTON, Iowa – Next on Ryan Preece’s “new-track” list is Iowa Speedway.

The .875-mile track will host the Xfinity Series Sunday for the American Ethanol #15 250, and Preece will be making his debut run at the track.

“Another week and another new track,” Preece said. “It sounds like I’m being repetitive, but almost everything is new for me this year. It’s been a big learning experience. I hope to get up to speed quickly at Iowa and see how well we can do.”

Preece has top-20 runs in the past two races and is 18th in Xfinity driver points.

This week’s 250-lap race is a rare Sunday event on the Xfinity calendar. The Sprint Cup Series is idle this week.

Practice is scheduled at 4:30 and 7 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is set for 6:45 p.m. Saturday, with the race on tap at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
