CORNELIUS, N.C. – No. 00 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota driver David Reutimann heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, N.H. with optimism this weekend after recording a second-place finish at Kentucky Speedway on Saturday. It marked the Michael Waltrip Racing driver’s best finish of the year, his first top five and second top-10 through the first 18 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. He owns four consecutive finishes of 15th or better – including one top-five and two-top 10s at the Magic Mile.

MOMENTUM: “Certainly our run at Kentucky is a great way to gain momentum – that’s really the only way it happens is to have a good run to get things rolling. At the same time, it is just one race. We have to concentrate on doing that on a more consistent basis. It felt great. We ran well the whole race. The guys on the crew did a great job and it was a total team effort. It wasn’t really a completely new car, but it had some things that we’d been working on throughout the year that we put into place. I thought everyone at MWR did a great job, but we have to keep doing that to get better down the stretch.”
NEW HAMPSHIRE: “New Hampshire is a very fast racetrack even being as small and flat as it is. It is a high speed racetrack even if it’s not as big as some of the others. All in all you really don’t change your style that much. You just hope that you have a good racecar and get the most out of it that you can. It’s a racetrack that has a lot of grip so you are in the throttle a lot for being a somewhat short and flat racetrack. You see a lot of guys running up the racetrack and some guys running at the very bottom. It’s a tough racetrack to get your car turning in the center so you can get back to the gas early and get a good run off the corner. It’s a really intense place to race and normally gets very exciting toward the end.”
CAR SETUP AT NEW HAMPSHIRE? “Car setup is important no matter what racetrack you go to. You have to always stress the overall importance of car setup. With that being said, it’s the driver’s responsibility to go out there and get the most out of the racecar every time. It’s the driver’s responsibility to go out there and give good feedback so that the crew can make the proper adjustments in the setup, so it’s just kind of a package deal. If I go out there and do a good job and give positive feedback then they can make the car better and we can get a good finish.”

. Reutimann at New Hampshire: In eight career NSCS starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Reutimann has one top-five and two top-10. He has finished 15th or better in his last four starts. His average starting position is 17th and finish is 17th. He has completed every lap at New Hampshire since 2008. Reutimann has never led a lap or recorded a DNF at New Hampshire.
. Career Numbers: In 153 career Sprint Cup Series starts, Reutimann has two wins, 12 top-fives, 24 top-10s and three career pole awards and has led 327 laps.
