PHOENIX – Fans will have the rare opportunity to celebrate with 2012 DAYTONA 500® winner Matt Kenseth this Thursday, March 1 at Phoenix International Raceway’s annual Night of Champions event. The celebration begins at 7 p.m. at Frank & Albert’s at the legendary Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa.
NASCAR Hall of Famer and three-time Sprint Cup Champion Darrell Waltrip will host the evening’s festivities. Arizona Cardinals Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt and up and coming NASCAR driver Austin Dillon will join two-time Daytona 500® winner Kenseth (2009, 2012) as guests of honor. Fans in attendance will have the rare opportunity to meet the honored guests while enjoying fine food and a friendly atmosphere.
“Matt Kenseth’s thrilling victory in the Daytona 500® served as a great way to start the NASCAR season,” said Phoenix International Raceway President, Bryan R. Sperber. “The Night of Champions will be a special night to recognize Matt’s victory and to officially wave the green flag f or the SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500™ weekend at Phoenix International Raceway.”
